I'm the "celebrity" Officiant here in Hawaii. over 439 ceremonies, (as of 2/14/2026) including power couples from Washington D.C, Hollywood, tech, and other couples. Discretion is assured, always. My favorites are people just like you, NOT a celebrity, NOT a political hotshot, just here in Hawaii, trying to plan an affordable wedding at the same time. A big feat to pull off! Tired of kicking tires in all these sites and just want to feel cared about and not just your money? Want a one-stop shop without having to also hire a wedding planner? Minister Michael Hawai'i is a wedding officiant and team based in Honolulu, Hawaii. A former Police Chaplain, I used to make notifications, but I switched gears. We do your wedding the way YOU want to do your wedding; customized, on time, and reliably. My family has a rich history on these islands going back to the 1800s as immigrants from Portugal before Hawai'i was Hawai'i. I understand and embrace Hawai'i Culture. My proceeds go towards helping the work that AMVETS Pearl Harbor does for the Arizona Memorial. I am a decorated Veteran.
My ceremony is a Hawai'i-themed and infused event; I weave your story into it, and no two are alike. From the Lei exchange to the seawater blessing of the rings in a Koa Bowl. It combines the best in tradition, simplicity, and a couple-based intimacy that keeps me getting great reviews. I truly care about my couples. AND I have locations. Zero-cost locations. Botanical Gardens, beaches,(we include the permits and insurance), and reasonable chapels. We have the connections. And we are FUN! Just reading this, you can feel our vibe.
We also specialize in short-notice elopements. We have things like loaner bouquets for the bride for pictures, floral crowns, real floral Lei, and reasonably priced Koa rings for the groom. And coming soon, we will have a wedding arch for rent. We can do smartphone pictures and send them to you, or a full SLR camera photo session, we give you the copyright and hand you the data card. We also file your legal paperwork with the State and expedite your marriage certificate
I can send a sample ceremony. You can do your own vows, or I can write them. I'm easy to get along with and listen to people. If you've never met me, you can have a look at my Thumbtack and read my reviews. They speak for themselves. Even though I have hundreds, I only post the most recent. I meet folks from all walks of life. After 5 minutes, it's like they have known me all their life.

The day went off without a hitch thanks to Minister Michael and team. I've never even attended a wedding as a guest before this, so when Minister Michael called to give me an idea of how the ceremony would run, that really calmed my nerves. He worked seamlessly with our photographer to make sure we got pics of all the highlights (lei exchange, ring exchange, the KISS), and gave us tips and tricks for things that hadn't even occurred to me! All in all, we felt so seen and cared for on our big day.
After the ceremony, we had folks asking us who officiated because he did such a great job! When we renew our vows, we will certainly be coming back for Minister Michael. 10/10, gold stars, highly satisfied- all of the accolades!

I messaged him, expecting to not get a response back for at least a few days. But to my surprise he responded the very next day! Right off the bat, I knew communication would never be an issue which lets be honest, that is one of the BIGGEST relief especially when planning a wedding.
Minister Michael was the perfect fit that we were looking for. He has different packages and when we requested a change in anything, he did it right away. I ended up changing the original date, time, and place of our wedding and he was so gracious and professional about it all. He even reserved the whole day just for our wedding because so many changes were made, which we appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.
If you're looking for a wedding officiant who has great communication skills, respects your time, professional and actually cares about making your wedding day everything you could hope for... look no further and BOOK HIM! We can't thank him enough for such a smooth, easy, and HEART FELT ceremony he was able to give us on our wedding day.

Perfect Officiant for Our Hawaii Elopement
On the day of the ceremony, everything went smoothly. He guided us through each step and created a warm, meaningful atmosphere without making it feel overly scripted. We really appreciated how natural and personal the ceremony felt. He thoughtfully prepared some beautiful details for us, including a wooden ring bowl, a shell necklace, and a pearl hair accessory. Everything was very carefully chosen and matched my fiancée’s outfit perfectly, which made the whole ceremony feel even more special and personal.
