HAWAII TRADITIONS WEDDING
This wedding option incorporates the most popular wedding traditions in the Hawaiian Islands into a personalized non-relgious love centric ceremony and is officiated anywhere on Oahu. Kim will personalize your ceremony to incorporate your love story. You will have the option to use a beautiful lifelike silk maile with tuberose garland to create a heart or circle of flowers to mark the ceremony spot for the two of you to stand in during the ceremony. If you choose to use the garland Kim will set it up before your ceremony and collect it after the ceremony.
Your ceremony begins by adorning each other in fresh dendrobium orchid leis during a lei exchange representing your giving yourselves to one another on your wedding day. During a sand unity the two of you blend separate bowls of sand into one representing the joining of your hearts and lives. Kim provides use of Hawaiian wooden bowls for the ceremony and will bring sand if the ceremony location isn't a location with sand. You may also choose to provide your own bowls and/or sand or glass beads for the unity ceremony.
Honi Honi, Ha Breath of Life is a native Hawaiian tradition of deep love and respect. It is an intimate moment of touching noses and foreheads then sharing a breath; it also looks amazing in photos and videos. You may exchange rings or other tokens of love as you vow your eternal Aloha for one another. You may write your own vows of love to say during the ring exchange or only repeat after me. After you exchange vows, but before being proclaimed married, you will perform a lava rock and ti leaf ceremony. In the Hawaiian culture it is believed that the leaves of a Ti plant bring good luck and protection from negative energy. The lava rock represents your marriage and together you wrap your marriage in good luck and leave it to mark where you pledged your eternal Aloha. When Kim pronounces you married a pineapple bubble maker will fill the air with bubbles in celebration!
Before Kim leaves after your ceremony she will present you with a ceremonial Certificate of Marriage featuring the Hawaiian Islands. The state of Hawaii will email you a copy of your official Marriage Certificate in 2 business days after your ceremony and will mail your official Marriage Certificate hard copy 2-3 weeks after your wedding.
$525 plus tax includes wedding officiant services anywhere on Oahu, beach use permit if needed, 2 orchid leis, use of silk circle of flowers, use of sand unity bowls, lava rock and ti leaf, use of pineapple bubble machine, ceremonial Certificate of Marriage.
Additional Fee applies for: ceremonies before 10am or after 7:30pm, if hiking or getting wet is required, ceremonies on national holidays.
CUSTOM PERSONALIZED WEDDING
Kim will officiate a custom personalized non-religious wedding focused on your love anywhere on Oahu. To create your personalized ceremony Kim will interview you by email asking you a few questions about your journey as a couple and what traditions you would like to include then Kim will create a ceremony inspired by your love.
During the ceremony Kim does the majority of the talking while you just hold hands and look into each other’s eyes. During the ring exchange you will have an opportunity to say your own vows or words of Love or you may request to say as minimal as possible.
You can incorporate any wedding or cultural traditions that will be meaningful to you into your personalized nonreligious custom wedding ceremony. Kim has a helpful resource of nonreligious Popular Hawaii Wedding Traditions at https://weddingsonoahu.com/hawaii-wedding-traditions with information on circle of flowers, Honi Honi Ha Breath of Life ceremony, lei exchange, sand unity ceremony, and lava rock ceremony. Kim also has explanations of dozens of other mainstream and cultural wedding traditions at https://weddingsonoahu.com/wedding-traditions-explained/
Kim's Custom Wedding fee depends on the location of your ceremony. You do not have to decide on the ceremony location until up to 24 hours before the reserved ceremony time. Please note some beaches on Oahu require a beach use permit to have a gathering, such as a wedding. If you choose a beach location for your ceremony that requires a use permit from the state of Hawaii then add an additional $50 to the prices below and Kim will arrange the $1M Liability Event Insurance and Use Permit from the state of Hawaii on your behalf.

❤️🔥TATTOO WEDDING EXPERIENCE
In 2018 Kim partnered with Neck Deep Tattoo in Kaneohe to offer intimate Tattoo Wedding and Vow Renewal ceremonies at the tattoo shop which includes tattoo wedding rings or meaningful tattoos on other body parts as part of the ceremony. With the growth in popularity of tattoos some couples are opting for tattoo rings or meaningful tattoos to celebrate their love rather than or in addition to traditional wedding rings. Wedding tattoos are a beautiful permanent daily reminder of the love and commitment of the couple and the vows they make to one another on their wedding day.
A Tattoo Wedding is $450 plus tax including officiant and 2 tattoos. Tattoos can be as a ring or a meaningful tattoo on other body parts and take less than one hour to complete. Add $100 per person for each additional hour of tattoo work for more detailed work such as realism portraits or medium to large pieces.
