When we saw WP for the first time, I knew it was where we would get married. The beautiful grounds, breath-taking plantation home, and incredibly preserved Kitchen House made it the the perfect match for us. We held our ceremony in front of the main house and reception in/ around the Green Tree House. This made for a great setup as our guests moved easily from ceremony to reception.
Overall, I would give it 10 out of 10 and would re-live that day in the same exact location if I could!

Beautiful and Unique Reception
We could not have expected any better than what we received with Wavering Place as our wedding reception view. From start to finish, Lisa was the most kind and helpful venue host that we could have asked for. By having our wedding on a Sunday, she was able to work with us on a price that met our limited budget.
Her communication was prompt, and we always felt like she had our best interests at heart. Through our conversations we learned that we are actually distantly related, and she provided us with an antique map of Richland County after our stay in her B&B bridal cottage.
She was thrilled when we decided to create a scavenger hunt of the plants on the property, and she provided us with many of the names of the plants at Wavering. And when it seemed rain was inevitable the week of the wedding, she organized for the tent from the previous day’s wedding to be rented to us at a significantly reduced rate.
Fortunately for us, the rain held off for most of the reception, and we were able to experience the full beauty of Wavering with our closest friends and family. We could not recommend Lisa and Wavering Place highly enough. 5 Stars!

Perfect Wedding Venue
