About this venue
The Franklin House is a special wedding venue in Greenville, South Carolina, with a unique history. The large home was built in 1909 by William J. Thackston on the San Souci Country Club golf course, and was the first home in the now vibrant neighborhood known as San Souci. It is our pleasure to invite you to spend your special day on the historic grounds of The Franklin House.
The beautifully manicured grounds span over 3 and a half acres on the corner of historic Clarendon Ave and Franklin Road. There are a number of unique spots to accommodate up to 125 guests for the ceremony, and a 40 x 60 tent with a dance floor, tables, and chairs will be provided for the reception. The historic home will be available to the wedding party and can be rented overnight or for the weekend. We look forward to sharing this special home with you!
