Mansion Wedding Venues in Columbia

Occasions at Wedgefield could not be more perfect for our special day. The reception hall and the outdoor ceremony location is gorgeous and Andrew is very easy to work with and so accommodating. On the morning of my wedding I realized that the wrong color napkins were ordered, Andrew immediately jumped on it and within an hour I had the correct color napkins on the reception tables! I also had so many guests tell me how amazing the food was, everything they served was high quality and tasted wonderful! I highly recommend this beautiful venue to anyone looking for a perfect spot for their perfect day!

The Lace House is such a beautiful venue, with an abundance of naturally stunning features and lush greenery that serves as its own built-in decorations. It was the first venue we toured, and none of the venues that we looked at after that could compare. We used the Wedding Garden for our ceremony and it was gorgeous. Sarah was so helpful and accommodating through the planning process, and I really appreciated her willingness to always answer any questions I had. I'm so super happy that we chose this venue. Book it early if you fall in love with it too, because their dates go fast!

Celebrating our wedding day at Abney Hall was one of the best decisions we made! It is one of the most naturally beautiful homes that I have ever encountered. It is truly a special place and we would not have changed a single thing about it! Working with Kevin was also a pleasure. He was very responsive and accommodating throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend this venue enough!

McCutchen House on the Horseshoe at the University of South Carolina used to be a residence in the school's early days. This is apparent in the layout of the venue - it's GORGEOUS. We only rented three of the rooms, but I wish we could've rented them all! The house is richly decorated in burgundy and gold, and each room has a fireplace. There are chandeliers and gilded mirrors throughout. The House has several rooms, as well as a terrace, a bar room, and a buffet room - enough space for many kinds of events, large or small. Decor and linens can be customized as you wish. It also has a Bose sound system if needed. The ladies' lounge in the house is perfect for dressing if you have a small bridal party, just be sure to include this space & time for availability in your contract. McCutchen is so beautifully decorated that it really doesn't need much in the way of decor. We added only candles and flowers. We noticed in our walk-throughs that there are NO bad "angles" for photos and many options for placement of favor tables, cake setup, etc. It worked so beautifully that it was our backup ceremony space in case of rain. The staff at McCutchen are friendly and fast. They set up the venue quickly; when I came out from dressing it was all done and gorgeous. This is a beautiful locale and I'm so happy we got to have our reception there. It gave us exactly what we dreamed of - Southern charm and ornate appointments with the feel of an intimate dinner party.

We used Brian for our floral at our wedding. I sent him photos of bouquets and centerpieces that I liked and he made it happen! Brian went above and beyond the day of our wedding to make sure everything was perfect. It was like having an extra person on hand to accomplish anything we needed. He was great and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I don’t know the pricing for this venue, but I do know that the wedding that I attended last night was absolutely perfect. From beginning to end, details were noticed. Annette is a gracious hostess and thought of everything, even blankets and outdoor heaters for chilly evenings, which were welcome as the sun went down. It is a beautiful venue, with an historic home from 1790 and a picturesque setting in the beautiful natural environment with chandeliers in the trees for lighting.. Be sure to put this on your list for consideration for your next event!

The Grand Holland Estate was the first wedding venue we toured when we got engaged in 2023. It left quite the impression on us--the versatility of the space (so many location options), the weekend package, and most importantly Megan's kindness and desire to be helpful. We just knew we had to get married here! The planning process was easy (or as easy as it can be to plan the biggest event of your life!) and a good portion of that ease came from Megan's responsiveness, willingness to listen to our ideas, and her excitement for our big day. The food was AMAZING! We were blown away with the options and flexibility. Chef Beau did not disappoint! Our wedding day food (cooked for 135) was just as amazing as the food we had at our tasting (cooked for 3). When we asked if we could do a family style rehearsal dinner, he jumped at the opportunity and made our dreams a reality! It was such a special moment for us to enjoy a meal for the first time as one big family. During our wedding weekend, we managed to use every space on the property. We loved that we were able to show our guest something new every time they came to the venue. Our rehearsal dinner was in the main house, welcome party was outside at the greek columns/outdoor spaces, ceremony at the grand entrance, cocktail hour outdoors (and in the main house during the rain), and our reception in the crystal pavilion. Our friends loved staying on site with us the night before--it made for a quick and easy getting ready transition the morning of our wedding. The photos I've included are just a taste of the beautiful weekend we had at the Grand Holland. We can't recommend this venue enough--it helped us create the wedding weekend of our dreams!
