We had a vision for our wedding at a remote location on private property, and Katy made everything possible to make our vision come true. She helped us stay on track, connected us to vendors, and always offered creative cost-effective solutions, all while being flexible and patient the whole time. Katy of Wand & Bash events was one of our best and most essential vendors. This was her first large scale South Asian wedding event and she really delivered.
I myself am a meticulous planner, so I hired Katy as a day of coordinator to ensure other vendors had a point of contact and that things moved smoothly without me or my family feeling responsible for the schedule. She stayed in touch months ahead of the date and put up with all my nitpicky questions.
On the day of, our schedule almost immediately got mucked up by delayed vendors. Katy took charge and somehow smoothed it out, and kept the schedule shifts from being my problem or from affecting my enjoyment of the day. When I started worrying about whether I was taking too long with photos and my Type A side started coming out,she reminded me it was her job to worry about that.
She also did a lovely job arranging flowers from the decorator for the cake! I saved a lot by having a simple design that still looked classic. She set up our s’mores bar area while juggling the arrival of vendors, their various questions, and our family members. She identified multiple issues and fixed them before anyone else realized there was a problem.
We had a lot of moving parts that would have been a pain for me to oversee on the big day, and I wouldn’t want to put that responsibility on any of my guests. Katy handled them all admirably and was definitely the reason it was all a success. I cannot imagine how we would have hosted this event without her!
On top of that, her pricing is exceptional and she comes armed with all kinds of planning tools to support you.

Katy was an absolute life saver! I used her day of coordination services and it alleviated so much stress not only on the day of the wedding but in the months leading up as well. She created an extremely useful google drive for us to organize vendor contacts, decor lists, guest lists, to-do lists. etc. On the day of the wedding she was completely amazing handling all communication with vendors. We had a couple of unexpected snags with our venue and caterer and she came up with solutions quickly and was able to ease my nerves quickly about both. I TRULY could not have survived my wedding with out her. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering her services!!!!

My husband and I were looking for a wedding planner who was flexible, detailed, and fun. Katy exceeded our expectations! Katy kindly guided us through the entire planning process, and made the entire experience fun. Our wedding theme was "classic, elegant, with a bit of flare". I greatly appreciated how patient Katy was seeing as I changed the color scheme twice. Through Katy's phenomenal suggestions and creative expertise, she was able to incorporate disco balls into our wedding in such a tasteful way! During the vetting process of vendors, Katy advocated on mine and my husbands behalf and helped us find incredible vendors! On our wedding day we did not worry about anything, Katy professionally managed any chaos and allowed my husband and I to enjoy our day! I recommend Katy for anyone planning any event. If you're having any kind of event, Katy is your girl! She has a passion for making your event precise and perfect, and is so easy to collaborate with! It's rare to meet an event planner who is able to be relaxed but also effective. Katy is like the gatekeeper for your event and she's keeping out stress! To me, that makes her service priceless.

Working with Katy was a magical experience. She made sure to put extra attention to detail from the table placement board down to the very extravagant table center pieces. She took every idea I had and turned it into an unbelievable experience for all of my guest. No matter what time of day or how far the event was Katy always made time to hear me out take in account for all my chaotic ideas and talked me through it all every step of the way.
