What is included in a wedding catering package?

Your wedding catering may be provided by your wedding venue, or you may want or need to hire an outside caterer. Reading a wedding catering contract can be a bit confusing, but in general, your wedding catering cost will be priced on a “per person” basis. A standard wedding catering package includes the following:

Food: The wedding food cost is the most obvious part of a wedding catering package. You’re paying for the actual food that your guests will eat during cocktail hour and the main meal. Whether it’s served plated or buffet style is up to you and your caterer.

Additional fees: Caterers may charge additional costs and fees, including cake cutting fees, corkage fees, and more. Be sure to read your contract carefully—and ask questions—to make sure you understand your wedding catering cost.

What are the different ways to serve wedding reception food?

When determining your wedding food cost, a big factor will be how you’re planning on serving the meal. There are a few serving style options for weddings:

Plated: Otherwise known as a sit-down meal, your guests will be served their meal at their table by a member of the wait staff. There may be a single entrée option served or several entrée options, which your guests can either order in advance (usually on their RSVP card) or at the event. This is the most formal and traditional of wedding serving styles.
Buffet: For a more casual serving style, guests serve themselves from a buffet station. Fifty percent of couples choose a buffet-style reception.

I recently ordered a large citrus fruit board, salmon crostinis, and coconut cloud drinks from Graze n Munch for my baby shower, and I was absolutely blown away. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. First, the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. You can immediately tell they use high-quality, fresh ingredients—Every single piece of fruit was vibrant, fresh, and bursting with flavor. This isn't your average grocery store fruit platter. The board was so aesthetically pleasing that it became the centerpiece of our event. The crostini toppings were gourmet and the bread was freshly homemade. The cheeses were artisanal, and the crostini toppings were flavorful. The Coconut cloud drinks were a perfect complement to the food. What truly sets Graze n Munch apart is their artistry. Every item was placed with intention. From the delicate edible flower garnishes to perfectly rolled salmon slices. Every item was a feast for the eyes before it was a feast for the stomach. My guests couldn't stop taking pictures of it! On top of the amazing food, the customer service was fantastic. They were so friendly, responsive, and accommodating. They made the entire process seamless and stress-free. They listened to my needs and delivered a product that exceeded all my expectations. If you're looking for a vendor that delivers on every level: quality, aesthetics, and service, look no further than Graze n Munch. They truly elevated our gathering, and I will be using them for all my future events. Highly, highly recommend!

They were beyond helpful during our entire planning process and truly executed their job perfectly the day of our clients event. They went above and beyond to help with last minute changes and we can not thank them enough for that. NOW, let's talk about the food! When a crowd of 180 people are completely clearing their plates and wanting more, you know you are doing something right. And that banana pudding..... OH MY GOSH! Everyone is STILL talking about the pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) they served during cocktail hour! We also had an amazing dessert table! We initially contracted Anna and her team at Belly Bliss catering for our wedding scheduled for Fall 2020. Unfortunately, COVID had other plans and caused us to reschedule the wedding several times before we finally were able to have our wedding this July 2021. I'll tell you it was definitely worth the wait! Even through several date, guest count, and menu changes, Anna was willing to work with us and come up with a DELICIOUS AND BEAUTIFUL spread of food that our guests couldn't stop talking about at the wedding. Guests kept coming up to my wife and I to tell us this was the best wedding food they've ever had, with many going back 3-4 times for more. Even though we were initially tentative to go with Belly Bliss since we didn't see many weddings she'd done on reviews, we were SOOO happy that we went with them. Anna is epic and will work with you to meet your needs. My wife and I are really grateful for her and all she did to make it a perfect day.
