We had the joy of working with Tonhya for our engagement photos, private ceremony, and reception! The photos were beyond perfection and Tonhya was the absolute best to work with! We’re not the most comfortable in front of a camera and Tonhya helped put us (and our entire families) at ease for some incredible memorable moments. Tonhya was the perfect person for my husband and I to have as a photographer because she made us feel SO comfortable. Neither of us are super into taking photos and she made this aspect of our wedding day feel natural and stress free. She was very in tune with us, suggesting we take breaks before we realized we needed them and always coaching us on silly things like where to put hands, where we should be looking, etc. The photos came out so beautiful. We couldn't be happier. She captured our personalities, our relationship, and our love for one another perfectly.

We found Tonhya through Samm Blake, and could not be happier that we did! From grabbing drinks together to see if we'd be a good fit, it was immediately clear that Tonhya was a person we could spend our wedding day with. She has a unique mix of a calm presence & spunky character. During our engagement photos, we really felt we got to know her and she even was willing to put up with our crazy puppy! She was totally game for whatever we suggested, then and during the wedding. When we first saw the previews of our engagement photos, we were impressed by how great she made us look, which was only possible because of how great she made us feel.

I was a super anxious bride, and as soon as she arrived while we were getting ready, she helped me feel more at ease, both as someone keeping us on track, and as someone who knew how to put me at ease - maybe that's just her nature. Now that we have our wedding previews, we are completely obsessed with them! The images are stunning, and the moments are perfect. Her editing style is not so pronounced that the images will look dated in the future, but stylized enough to be artistic. We also really loved the second shooter that she brought to our wedding, Karen Obrist. Given the chance to work with either of them again in the future, I'd absolutely do it and highly recommend them both!

I have a big girl-crush on Tonhya. Photos were extremely important to me when we were prioritizing our wedding budget/vendors. When I came across TK's blog, I immediately knew she was the photographer for us. Her use of color and ability to capture such stunning images that are so full of love (how sappy of me!) blows me away. I also really like how she uses the environment to create interest in the photos. They are not cookie-cutter in any way. Tonhya is very professional and easy to communicate with - she is just very busy traveling for her work so sometimes it took her a little longer to reply to my emails. However, she always answered my questions fully and was always available to skype when needed (my husband and I planned a long distance wedding). On the day of the wedding she was relaxed, personable, professional and humorous. Made it easy to relax for photos! She also kept us on time - which was helpful since If it had been left to me we would have barely made it to the venue by ceremony time :) She is pricey, but is worth EVERY penny.

We fell in love with Tonhya the second we met her. I saw her work on a friend's engagement pictures and knew that she was the one for us! At our meeting she was sweet, easy going, knowledgable, and her work was amazing! Tonhya was easy to get ahold of, prompt at replying to emails, and happily tolerated my obsessive questions/planning/wedding day schedule. We did engagement pictures with her about 8 months before the wedding and they were beautiful, she has such a great eye for light and color. Our wedding pictures are unbelievable and I'm so happy we picked Tonhya. She was a joy to have around on our big day and the pictures will be treasured for the rest of our lives.

Tonhya was the right photographer for us. We had a very urban wedding and she did an amazing job at capturing that urban feel. It is difficult to put into words Tonhya's talent. She has a very natural eye for capturing moments and emotion. And just the quality of her images is really remarkable. Sometimes when she would direct us to do things, I would think to myself, well I don't like this background or this position, what is she doing? Then when we saw our photos, I had it all wrong! She knew EXACTLY what she was doing and they were just gorgeous. She is also very interactive which was nice. Very encouraging and did a great job keeping us going. My now husband is a bit shy so she was great at getting him involved. We hope to use her again in the future ... I think we have our photographer for the years to come! We just love looking at our photos. They are more than what we expected!
