Owners of Tin Roof Farms, Alan & Melanie Giddens, sold their successful marine dealership of 32 years, but did not go into quiet retirement. In 2016, they purchased almost 200 acres of pastureland and rolling hills in rural South Carolina. After being inspired by local weddings, and sped along by an impending marriage in the family, they rebuilt the area into Tin Roof Farms.
