Stacey James was our coordinator at Whittaker Woods and she was AMAZING! She stepped in about halfway through our planning when the current lady who was helping us left. She made me feel very comfortable and met all of our needs. There was never an unanswered question, text, or email from her. She took into consideration all of our ideas for the venue, the menu... everything down to the last detail.

We had our ceremony outside and the lawns and gardens were very well maintained and manicured. Our guests were comfortable and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. They also hosted our cocktail hour/dinner/and reception. The bar services were just what we asked for - even going so far as to stock our favorite brands. The food was delicious - there was seriously nothing bad to say about our experience. Dinner service was flawless. The venue was large enough to hold our 250 guests comfortably. They even put up lights on the patio (at my asking) so guests could sit outside.

All in all - a beautiful venue with a wonderful staff!

This was the BEST experience! Stacey is amazing and will take care of you to no end. We never felt nervous about any aspect of the venue or day. Speaking of the venue, it is beautiful, rustic, and has such warmth. Would recommend Whittaker Woods to anyone!

This is an awesome venue for a wedding (which we had in Oct 2016). There is a separate facility from the golf course building that has a dining room which connects to a large room with a very cool bar and huge space for dancing .The natural décor is so unique-everyone raved about it.. There is also a beautiful area to have the ceremony outside-great for photos. Dressing rooms to get ready in the building, too. the best part, though, was working with Stacey James-the Special Events Coordinator. She is a delight and the most accommodating person to work with EVER. From the very start to the end, she handled everything, had great ideas and yet very flexible in accommodating your needs, look and budget. With all the stresses that come with wedding planning, she is such a delight and makes it so easy for you. Food was great and packages include a lot for your money. The staff who worked the wedding were all so professional and friendly. They genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a good time. Family atmosphere. Also, you can get in a day or two early to set up and can pick up everything to take home the next day so this helped tremendously. Especially since we came from Chicago and needed that leeway. Plus, a very quick and direct drive from Chicago for guests to attend. Run, don't walk to take a look and reserve your date. A+ for everything in our book.. We want to repeat the evening again as was so perfect!

The value of this venue is wonderful if you are talking about the space alone. Why this venue really shines is because of their event coordinator and chef. First of all, we had two big rooms available to us, one for dancing, one for dining along with a total of four bathrooms. Tables and linens were provided as were a variety of table decor which we took advantage of. It is a beautiful setting with a gazebo for our outdoor ceremony. Stacey James, their event coordinator was never unreachable, always returned calls and emails even on her days off. She navigated us through the meal planning and liquor options as well as providing a coordinating service the day of my daughter's wedding (which was invaluable!). Stacey was very proficient at organizing the guests and the bride and groom so everything stayed on track without us even giving a thought to it all night! Such a nice person, too, always with knowledgeable and helpful advice. Besides being a beautiful venue, Stacey's help was invaluable to us every step of the way. I must mention the food! Justin gave us a tasting with many options which were all delicious. Everyone complimented us on the food the night of the wedding. Good job, Justin!

Very easy to work with!! The venue was beautiful, and they were extremely accommodating. Our wedding was planned to be outside and had to be changed last minute and it was still flawless! I wouldn't have changed a thing!

Whittaker Woods is a very unique place. It is outside of New Buffalo. The staff is very friendly and available for anything. They will accomodate any request you have. If you would like to do any decorating you can be in there by Thursday. They have many vendors available for you to use. I would highly recommend it.

Stacey really helped us through the entire wedding process. We called constantly to ask silly questions about the venue in order to iron out the logistics of the wedding and she was extremely patient and helpful every time. She took our vendors contact information and reached out them on our behalf so we wouldn't be bothered with it on the day of our wedding.

I was set on having an outside ceremony and even though it was a rainy day, the Whittaker Woods staff jumped into action as soon as there was a break in the rain. They wiped all the chairs clean/dry and started the ceremony very quickly so we could squeeze it in before the rain came again.

You truly don't realize how much "stuff" the bride and groom have to do throughout the ceremony so it was really nice to have Stacey guiding us through the night to keep the reception on track. We relied on her to make sure the scheduled timeline was running smoothly from start to finish because at no point in the night did I have any clue what time it was.

My FAVORITE thing was that unlike most venues, Whittaker Woods only has one wedding a weekend. This makes for a stress free set up that can be done much slower over the course of a couple days. In addition to that, we weren't expected to pack everything up and haul it out the night of the wedding. Instead, we had the option to come back the next day and grab our decorations/belongings.

Overall it was a great experience and we would highly recommend Whittaker Woods.

Danielle, the F&B Manager, knows what she's doing and was a pleasure to work with through helping us make our wedding one of the best days of our lives!
