Vintage Brooklyn Gem

The Beverley is a rare gem in New York City: a lovingly restored Victorian house located in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn with authentic vintage ambiance, modern amenities (sound system, bar set up, excellent air conditioning, pristine newly renovated bathroom) and lovely indoor and outdoor space. The space comprises two parlors and a larger ballroom, as well as a back patio off the ballroom, and a generous front porch - - making it possible to be flexible with the flow of your event.
In August I hosted my daughter's bridal shower at the Beverley, and our friends and family (native New Yorkers and out-of-towners alike) were wowed by the unique charm of the place, which is really unlike anything else in the city. In addition - - and possibly even more important - - the owners are incredibly helpful and gracious, which smooths out the experience of hosting an event. I would happily host more events there in the future.

Wonderful Brooklyn Venue

I had the pleasure of hosting a post wedding celebration at The Beverley. I had a wonderful experience. I leaned heavily on the venue for recommendations for vendors. Their experience was greatly appreciated. I hosted 100 people, and had a band. I really loved the way that they accommodated my every little request. The venue had many of the things I would have needed to bring in otherwise. I highly recommend this venue, its versatile for so many occasions, highly accessible by all means of transportation and absolutely gorgeous.

Nigerian Engagement Ceremony

My husband and I had an amazing experience at the Beverley. It was the perfect venue for our Nigerian engagement ceremony. The venue has character, great furniture and really well tended to grounds. Our guests were able to hang out on the porch to be away from the dancing, in the garden for fresh air, in the hallway to enjoy their drink or in the banquet hall to enjoy the main festivities. In other words, it's perfect for all types of guests. Elizabeth was very communicative and helpful as we were organizing this big day.
She was there the whole time of our event as well, helping us and our vendors manage our way through the night. In the sea of many Brooklyn venues this one felt the most authentic, affordable, accommodating, and fun.

Beautiful Space

Beverley Social Club is a wonderful space for any kind of event. From the outside it just looks like a Victorian house. But inside, it has been lovingly preserved and renovated to evoke the 1920's speakeasy it once was. Elizabeth, the owner and host, is very helpful and accommodating, the venue is centrally located in Brooklyn (and close to major subways), and the rental fee is extremely reasonable. There's a patio in the back and a lovely front porch with benches, where guests can gather outdoors if they wish. There's a bar in the front parlor and plenty of room for mingling, plus an excellent sound system. Highly recommend.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
