Choosing to be married here was BY FAR the best decision I made when it came to choosing my venue.

I visited so many venues in my search and nothing even came close.

4 major items stood out the most:

1. The service was impeccable.

The staff at the Turnip Rose are experienced and it SHOWS.

But, it didn’t feel like we were just another “event” to plan and carry out. They made us feel very special on our ‘big day’ and it was clear that we were in good hands! For starters, take a look at the wedding packages. They include SO MUCH that other venues don’t because they care about the EXPERIENCE and want people feeling happy!

2. We were amazed by the venue's flexibility to our needs and true dedication.

Lori Quinn was incredible leading up to our big day and of course, on the day of the event! She was always available to answer questions and go over pertinent details, making the planning experience collaborative and enjoyable. She promptly responded to our phone calls and emails throughout the process. I felt 100% confident going into the wedding day that she and the Turnip Rose staff would deliver. The outcome: They went above and beyond!

3. The food was amazing.

Many wedding venues serve mediocre catered food. This is not the case at this venue! The Turnip Rose has a catering company and restaurant. They serve gourmet food that your guests will LOVE!

4. This is a beautiful place to be married!
From the moment we toured the venue, we fell in love with the place. It offers flexibility for an outdoor ceremony and indoor space for the reception.

I would recommend The Turnip Rose a million times over.

The wedding day went off without a hitch and our guests gave us SO MANY compliments on the wedding, the food, and their experience! Many said it was THE BEST wedding they’ve ever attended.

We are SO LUCKY to have found this venue. The staff is very dedicated, and they are simply GREAT people! Thank you for the most magical wedding! We cannot thank you enough.

I loved the turnip rose promenade and gardens, they were so accommodating to our wedding needs and the venue was so beautiful, I was so impressed with the whole company!

I left a review about the food under general Turnip Rose (Orange), so this review is about the venue specifically.

The Celebrations location used to be a club in a past life, so the set up as a wedding venue was perfect for us. The venue has its own house sound system, DJ booth, lighting, gobo projection, lounge areas, separate area for the cocktail hours, and a great bar setup. Renting Celebrations also includes linen, chairs, tables, centerpieces, and candles. Because of the lighting and set up of the venue, no extra decorations were needed (which was nice for our purse).

We planned this wedding from out of state and the pictures don't do it justice. The main reception room is partly underground, so there are no windows and the decor of the ceiling (with lights and all) made it appear very low. We went to Turnip Rose to actually look at their Grand Newport Plaza location (same building) and since we were already there we decided to look at Celebrations. We fell in love with it immediately! It gave us the "party" atmosphere we were looking for, whereas GNP was a little too "traditional" from what we initially thought we wanted. It didn't feel cramped at all and because it took place at night, it didn't matter to us that there were no windows.

Guests enter through a gate and walk down a covered sort of outdoor patio, with mini water "fountains" along the sides, lanterns, and green foliage. They then enter the inside of the venue through a set of doors and are in a hallway where TR has 3 lightboxes on each side (we used these to put up engagement photos). That hallway then opens up to a separate lounge and bar where most of our guests spent the cocktail hour (only a few stayed outside, most wanted to be by the bar). That lounge area has a sort of modern feel, with trimmed lights around the bar and a wall of "gold" on one side.

The actual reception room has a bar on one end near small lounge sofas and then lounge booths on the other end. They have TV's on the walls around the reception room, which was perfect for our photo slide show. The rest of the time, the TVs were showing the dance floor. During the night, one of the TVs (near the booth lounge area) was showing the movie "Cars" which kept the little ones entertained for a bit. The "dance floor" was not a separate material, but it was painted white to mark the distinction. I liked that because there was no raised level to get to the dance floor where people could possibly trip. Our guests loved the lounge/cocktail-like areas all around the room, as most of them didn't stay at their tables.

We took advantage of their off-season prices and had a Sunday wedding that was so worth it! Because the sound system is already built in, our DJ also gave us a discount because he didn't need to haul in all his equipment. If the timing of your event works out, you might be able to take photos in the Spanish-like courtyard of the building (but priority goes to those that rent Grand Newport Plaza). Pictures of the venue turned out amazing and the lighting definitely helped give it that party feel that will forever be remembered in those photos.
