They helped us have the absolutely most beautiful day!!! While planning we were in communication with Barbi and she was amazing!!! She’s spent about 2 decades in the industry and she knows what she’s doing!!! Our day of coordinator Aubrey was absolutely awesome and just a joy to work with, she made sure our day ran smoothly and was a blast to be around!!!
Now not only is this place gorgeous, and the service through the roof (with an awesome bartender might I add) the food!!! Oh my goodness was *chef’s kiss* This was one of the most important things for me and I’m so glad we weren’t disappointed, our expectations were surpassed!
I’m still hearing about how beautiful the wedding was and how much everyone enjoyed the food!!!
We as the bride and groom were able to enjoy ourselves because of the amazing team from Turnip Rose helping us and our guests had a wonderful time. We couldn’t have asked for more ♥️♥️♥️

Turnip Rose was an excellent place to have our wedding reception. Lori was super easy to work with and very helpful! Above all, the food was incredible and the drinks were well made! It is a great venue with lots of FREE parking. It is also a very pretty venue!

Spectacular for Indoor or Outdoor Receptions
As a wedding photographer I have shot many weddings at this venue and I have to say it is a great choice that offers a beautiful ceremony site with large gazebo that can be decorated beautifully to enhance the visual appeal of your wedding. There is a long grassy aisle area that offers a beautiful backdrop to the procession photos as the wedding party walks down the aisle. There are an abundance of large pine trees surrounding the property that add a lot of ambiance and you forget you are in an industrial park. The trees have lighting that adds to the decor and feel of the outside area during events. They have 2 large rooms for getting ready. The smaller room for the groom and the larger room for the bride. They have nice mirrors you can use to shoot getting ready photos during the prep before the wedding.
The Gazebo is beautiful as a backdrop for family photos and it's great to go to the winery area across the street to take romantics of the bride and groom after the ceremony. They have a spacious indoor area for a reception with an outdoor patio that connects to the indoor space for dancing. But I have also shot there where they have all the table on the grass for receptions and a large dance floor placed over the grass area. This was also a very beautiful setup and worked out well. Overall it is a great venue in the heart of Orange County that has so much to offer . I highly recommend this venue for weddings and events.

Great Venue!
Just got married here in February. It was a fantastic experience. Barbi and Audrey were super helpful in everything they did . Many of the guests enjoyed the food. They were very accommodating in meeting our needs, allowing us to bring boba into the venue, and having things done our way... I recommend this to anyone looking for a more affordable and good option. Great customer service.

Wow We Couldn’t Ask For More
The venue was absolutely on point!!! We kept in touch for a year and when we got there they had everything ready to go and it was a beautiful ceremony. This is a little unexpecting gem in the middle of a convention area, but the garden and patio are BEAUTIFUL! The coordinators are fantastic and made sure the wedding was a dream. Highly recommend Lori and Aubrey. Forgot my home made table chart and Lori last minute said don’t you worry, we will make it work and come up with a back up. She saved a lot of stress and tears.

What an AMAZING venue. Everything could not have been more perfect! We worked with Lori from the get-go, and she was so helpful, friendly, and prompt with her replies. She made everything so easy. Our wedding day was beyond magical, and everything was one place - parking, ceremony, food (which was DELICIOUS), dancing - all of it! Turnip Rose is literally the ideal place to have a wedding. Straight up amazing
Lori & her team did such a fabulous job with this venue. She was so involved, kept us organized and made our day SO special. I had about 20 people message me saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to after.
We can’t say enough good things about the turnip rose, we would not change one thing about our night! The convenient location, no noise ordinance, and the opportunity to make the venue whatever you want it to be. A+ from my husband & I!

Amazing Venue!
We had our wedding at the Turnip Rose in July 2021 and it was perfect! I’m so thankful to Lori and to everyone else who helped with our day. We received so many compliments on the venue and especially the food! The food was so delicious. So many people mentioned how much they loved the passed food during cocktail especially the tomato soup shooters! Included in our food package were also super cute tuxedo chocolate covered strawberries that was passed out with the cake. Dinner was overall a fantastic meal, presentation and taste-wise. We also got late night snacks, sliders, which were a huge hit! The venue itself was pretty and turned out well in photographs! We held our wedding both indoors and outdoors. The ceremony space came out beautiful. I was a little bit concerned about the buildings around the area, but they were not an issue in pictures or in person. The indoor space for dinner was beautiful and the food + bar service was great. Dancing in the garden under the bistro lights through the rest of the night was the best. Just overall a great venue and I 100% recommend!

The perfect night!
My wife and I just held our wedding reception at Turnip Rose over the weekend. We don't have a single complaint and the event exceeded our expectations. Our wedding coordinator, Barbi, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Planning a wedding in the midst of COVID comes with its challenges, but Barbi went above and beyond to make sure we had the party of our dreams despite the pandemic.
The eats were phenomenal. Several of our guests raved about the food, among them a cousin of mine who is a professional chef. Our photographer claimed it was some of the best food she's had at a wedding and she goes to weddings for a living. I'll list just a few of our food choices that got special mentions from our friends and family: chicken picatta, chicken flautas, gruyere sliders w/ fries, caesar salad.
The wait staff was seriously impressive. Everything was on time and the staff was attentive. The bartenders were friendly and quick. Our day-of coordinator, Aubrey, was on point and took care of everything and anything we needed on a moment's notice. The bridal suite was accommodating and came in clutch for keeping the younger kids somewhat contained and was a nice, quiet area for grabbing a quick breather before heading back out for more drinks and dancing.
The reception was executed flawlessly thanks to a collaboration between the Turnip Rose staff and our vendors. The whole venue looked absolutely beautiful. If I had to do it again, I'd go w/ Turnip Rose again. One of the best decisions of my life! Barbi, Aubrey, and the rest of the Turnip Rose crew: thank you, thank you, thank you!

Truly, the best experience imaginable!
Choosing to be married here was BY FAR the best decision I made when it came to choosing my venue.
I visited so many venues in my search and nothing even came close.
4 major items stood out the most:
1. The service was impeccable.
The staff at the Turnip Rose are experienced and it SHOWS.
But, it didn’t feel like we were just another “event” to plan and carry out. They made us feel very special on our ‘big day’ and it was clear that we were in good hands! For starters, take a look at the wedding packages. They include SO MUCH that other venues don’t because they care about the EXPERIENCE and want people feeling happy!
2. We were amazed by the venue's flexibility to our needs and true dedication.
Lori Quinn was incredible leading up to our big day and of course, on the day of the event! She was always available to answer questions and go over pertinent details, making the planning experience collaborative and enjoyable. She promptly responded to our phone calls and emails throughout the process. I felt 100% confident going into the wedding day that she and the Turnip Rose staff would deliver. The outcome: They went above and beyond!
3. The food was amazing.
Many wedding venues serve mediocre catered food. This is not the case at this venue! The Turnip Rose has a catering company and restaurant. They serve gourmet food that your guests will LOVE!
4. This is a beautiful place to be married!
From the moment we toured the venue, we fell in love with the place. It offers flexibility for an outdoor ceremony and indoor space for the reception.
I would recommend The Turnip Rose a million times over.
The wedding day went off without a hitch and our guests gave us SO MANY compliments on the wedding, the food, and their experience! Many said it was THE BEST wedding they’ve ever attended.
We are SO LUCKY to have found this venue. The staff is very dedicated, and they are simply GREAT people! Thank you for the most magical wedding! We cannot thank you enough.

We had been working with Barbi and the Turnip Rose for nearly two years up until our event. Despite going through a tough time themselves, they continued to support and accommodate us in every way possible. This speaks volume on their integrity and quality of service. The venue is private/beautiful, the food is amazing, ample parking, etc the list goes on. We are so pleased and grateful that we chose the Turnip Rose Promenade.

Turnip Rose truly goes above and beyond!
My husband and I got married at Turnip Rose on 02.15.2020. We had been engaged for two years and had been working with Turnip Rose for about a year and a half. Barbi was our point of contact throughout the entire process. She made the process very clear, easy, and transparent; which, both my husband and I truly appreciated.
Prior to booking with Turnip Rose, my husband and I had viewed a LOT of venues. Turnip Rose is a hidden gem. It's nestled between industrial complexes in Costa Mesa. However, when at the venue itself, you easily forget due to the lush grounds, beautiful gazebo, and market lights that transport you into this beautiful, romantic setting.
Besides the beauty, one of the main reasons my husband and I chose to go with this venue is because of how inclusive its pricing is and because of how delicious the food was! I truly do think going with this venue made the wedding planning process significantly less stressful for me!
After our wedding, our family and friends have done nothing but RAVE about how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was. Brandi (our coordinator) did an incredible job! Both families and the wedding party were highly impressed by her professionalism and ability to keep us all on track throughout the entire day. Additionally, Brandi was responsible for setting up all of our decorations the day of, and I gave her a lot of stylistic freedom on where certain items should go and she managed to decorate the venue beautifully!
Additionally, the servers and bartenders went above and beyond throughout our wedding! My family commented that the servers were constantly checking in to see if there was anything they needed. They also discussed how they left the venue with such a full, happy stomach by the end of the night! They made all our guests feel extremely welcomed and cared for throughout the entire evening. It's been over a week since we've gotten married and I still have family and friends calling me to tell me how much they loved and appreciated the service and the food!
Throughout this wedding planning process, my husband and I both agreed that the ceremony is for the couple while the reception is really for the guests. I think Turnip Rose does a fantastic job ensuring that the balance is met. Their professionalism, eye for detail, and welcoming staff made our wedding perfect in our eyes and we are beyond grateful to the venue by their ability to make our event so memorable for our guests.

Better than we could've imagined!

The most amazing venue in OC
There are no words to express my gratitude towards the Turnip Rose for making my wedding day incredible. From start to finish we were given top of the line service. Our coordinator Barbi is top notch and not only went above and beyond on our big day, she also said yes to pretty much all of our requests.
The food was to die for! Everyone was raving about how exceptional it was and how everything came out hot! The dome service was superb. The filet and fish cooked to perfection. We wanted a custom buffalo chicken appetizer and Turnip Rose made 4-5 different buffalo appetizers for us to try to make sure we picked the one we wanted. They hosted food tastings before the wedding and they were wonderful because we got to try everything however it was hard to pick because all of the food is so good!
The venue looked spectacular and it was nice having all the rentals, linens, etc taken care of by the Turnip Rose. Not one thing was out of place.
In short, it’s hard to compare any other venue to the Turnip Rose. It will be hard to beat. I give it 10 out of 10 stars!!

If you want the most EXCEPTIONAL wedding experience you can ever imagine then Celebrations by Turnip Rose is the place for you!!! We just had our wedding ceremony and reception on March 18, 2018 and it went above and beyond our expectations! I had already read many of the amazing reviews here but I cannot express the MAGNITUDE of gratitude I have for this company and their ENTIRE staff!!!
LORI QUINN was our wedding coordinator from months before our wedding date. She is absolutely wonderful in every way!!! Any questions I had at anytime I would send her emails and she would respond to each and everything I asked her about regarding our wedding day. She was just a phone call away as well. Everything was well planned, well organized and the all the staff were so professional, efficient and considerate. My guests were telling me that it was the BEST wedding and reception they have ever been to!!! I can go into all the details that made this day so special but I would end up writing a book!
The venue itself is truly beautiful! The outdoor courtyard area had water fountains and a grande staircase where we had our ceremony. The atmosphere was so classy and unique. The indoor reception venue did not look like your average hotel ballroom, it has a bar with a classy cocktail area and then doors that open into a reception hall that made our guests feel like a huge amazing party was about to happen! The lighting was amazing, all our vendors (DJ, photo/video team) loved our venue and they were treated like royalty as well! Our "day of" wedding coordinator, JEN BELZA, was always by my side the entire day asking if there was anything I needed or anything that she could do for me. Jen was so calm and helpful and I appreciate everything she did for us! All the staff were amazing!

My now husband Tanner and I had our wedding here on Friday night (yes I am writing this early because I am in love with this place) and we really can't say enough wonderful things about the team and the venue. I am literally overwhelmed with gratitude! For starters, working with Barbi was a breeze. She is just so down to Earth, available, understanding, and funny! She makes the process feel completely natural from the beginning. You will wish she was family!! The grounds are beautiful and make for the BEST wedding. There is almost too much too say for one review but I will start by saying, GO THERE AND CHECK OUT THE PROPERTY! The space is perfect. The lawn is massive with a beautiful white gazebo and large contemporary rocks that make for unique pictures. The lounge area outside is so chic! They also bring heaters outside for guests who want to utilize that space and hang out near the cocktail tables. The bar is inside and the room has so much space for everyone to get their drinks. They set up an espresso/tea bar near these huge light-box pictures that you can bring in custom to add to the decor. Everyone LOVED being able to see pictures from our engagement shoot lit up in the bar area. Such a unique touch! The reception room is spacier than nearly all the venues we toured. It never felt stuffy! The reception room also has large french-style doors that open. The bathrooms are beautiful and offer several stalls so that there are never any lines! Anyone that has been in line for a bathroom at a wedding knows how annoying this is! The bridal suite and groom suite are AMAZING! Again, much more spacious than any venue we had previously toured. I just love this place. The food was DELICIOUS. Jen was my day-of coordinator and she is AMAZING! Amanda worked with me the day-of too and she is so sweet and patient as well! AMAZING TEAM!

Our wedding of 250 guests was held at Turnip Rose's Promenade and Gardens location. We worked closely with Barbi, who is the world's best Salesperson. She was so easy to work with from the beginning, and really helped accommodate for EVERY situation that arose. We had so many issues with unpredictable weather for our big day, affecting our rentals, food, etc. However, Barbi manned her team so well, and we didn't have ANY issues on the day of. The staff is incredible, and are so amazing at what they do. They are truly worth EVERY penny we spent. Yes, a large chunk of our wedding budget went into our venue, but having them provide phenomenal silver platter food, service, chairs, dessert, alcohol, and much more, we believe they were worth every penny. We highly recommend Turnip Rose as your ceremony venue. Trust me. You will NOT be disappointed.

Chrissy and her team at Turnip Rose Celebrations were amazing! Chrissy was so helpful with all of the planning from food selection and tastings to decoration ideas, and especially the day of our wedding reception. Everything we planned went perfectly. If anything went wrong, we didn’t notice and neither did our guests. The food was incredible! All of our guests kept commenting on how delicious the salmon and mushroom risotto was And those chocolate covered strawberries…omg. My husband and I are big foodies and we were impressed. The venue was spectacular. Celebration used to be a night club so it already had the lights, dancefloor, and plenty of space for seating. I still have friends telling me how awesome our reception at Celebrations was. We are so happy that we made the chose Celebrations. Our day went exactly as we both hoped it would thanks to their incredible team. They went way above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. At the end of the night our limo was running late so one of venue managers and her staff waited with my husband and I until the limo arrived. Thank you for taking care of my husband and I from the planning all the way to the end of the night. You guys are the best.

This place is AWESOME!!! Special thanks to Barbi who really took care of us from rhe beginning of the preparation til the end ( the week after the wedding)! The service is the best, THEY HAVE EXCELLENT FOOD!! We had 180 guests plus vendors. They came from different states and Philippines, and everybody LOVED THE FOOD!!! I have no idea how I did not write this sooner, but almost 2 years later and I still can't thank enough, Chrissy and her staff at Turnip Rose Celebrations for one of the most unforgettable nights of our lives. From the time I met with Chrissy about 9 months out from my wedding date, she was so quick to respond, told me exactly what I needed to do and took all the guess work out from planning. She is one of a kind- she knows her stuff, gives really good advice and was always so quick to respond! The venue is spectacular- everything is right there, ready to go. All we had to do was fill it with our family and friends- which was our favorite part- they literally take out all the guess work for you. They run a very tight ship, executed the night seamlessly and the food- OMG, amazing, not your average wedding chicken!! I can't thank them enough for all of the help and support I received during the planning process. One of the most amazing nights we have had, and like I said, 2 years later and we are still talking about that evening like it was yesterday. Thank you all so, so, so much!!

We recently got married and had our reception and ceremony at the Turnip Rose Promenade and Gardens. This was the first place we went to after we got engaged and came back to book this as our venue because they were just so easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. On that day our Turnip Rose planner made sure all details were taken care of, especially timing. I can't thank them enough for making the day 100% stress free and just as beautiful as I imagined. The reviews from our guests also matched what we thought, everyone said that it was such an elegant wedding and cannot stop talking about how amazing the food was that night. My daughter's wedding was amazing. The location is beautiful and private! The wedding coordinator Barbie, was professional and worked with us to design our event to uniquely meet all my daughter's wishes. The food and service was top notch. Everyone raved about the food and said it was not typical of food served at a big event but instead like a gourmet restaurant dinner. The staff was friendly and responsive. The price included everything and was the best value we found after researching many places in the Southland. This wedding was a dream come true for all of us. I highly recommend this venue!

We had our wedding at the Turnip Rose Promenade & Gardens location in October 2014 and had THE BEST experience. From start to finish, working with the staff at this venue and having our wedding there was amazing. Barbi was our contact throughout the experience and she was great to work with, very responsive to questions and really a nice person. Every time we were on-site the rest of the staff was equally as amazing. The Turnip Rose is a catering company and so the food at our wedding did not disappoint, it was one of the highlights of the night and I am still getting compliments from my guests on how amazing the food was. The venue itself was also beautiful, we had our ceremony outdoor in their garden area which made a lovely backdrop for all of our photos and then we had cocktail hour outside and our reception indoors. The location is tucked away, but easy to find once you know where you're going, so you have complete privacy and easy and free parking. Our day-of coordinator, Amanda was also great and really kept things moving and helped ensure we had everything that we needed. From stocking our bride & groom's rooms with our favorite drinks, to sending us off with a basket of treats at the end of the night, she had everything covered. Some of our favorite things that we had to eat were their grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters, their strawberry spinach salad and their salmon. And the cake that came as part of the venue's package was really delicious, light and fluffy and not too sweet. I would recommend this venue again to anyone in a heartbeat. They really made the whole wedding planning process a breeze and gave us a day that we could never forget in a location that was absolutely perfect.

My husband and I were thrilled to have our wedding reception at the Celebrations by Turnip Rose. Chrissy, Abby and the team were beyond professional and exceeded our expectations. They certainly helped make the evening seamless and one that many of our guests will never forget. We received countless compliments that is was "the best wedding they ever attended" and we have Turnip Rose to thank for the majority of that. Turnip Rose is not that easy to find if you are researching wedding venues because they don’t advertise very much (because they don’t have to), and I am grateful that I heard about it from a friend. As most brides, I was on a budget and wanted to make sure our money went a long way. On our first visit, Chrissy walked us through the outdoor courtyard, the indoor reception space and explained how everything is usually set up. Everything was gorgeous and kept in impeccable condition so the location really sold itself and we decided to get married at Turnip Rose Celebrations on April 5, 2014.
Turnip Rose was a dream-come-true in every way. If you are a bride who is looking for an all inclusive package with class and quality, Turnip Rose is it. The price is the most reasonable that I have found for what you get and is disclosed upfront. Chrissy has worked with me on customizing the package to make my budget go a long way and has responded to every single email and text with a sense of urgency, care and humor. She provided valuable advice to ensure that our wedding was nothing short of amazing. The entire staff took such great care of me as the bride as well as the wedding party and both of our families so no one had to worry about anything at all.
They have delivered on every promise and exceeded expectations on many levels. Turnip Rose is absolutely phenomenal and I am so grateful for the beautiful space and quality service they provided for the most special day of my life. It was so good that my cousin is getting married there in November!!!

The entire staff at Turnip Rose was an absolute pleasure to work with. Planning the wedding from out of state, I was nervous about not being able to get in touch with Barbi during the times when I was in town. But she was always super responsive and met with me as many times as I requested to discuss wedding details. She had such a thorough knowledge about the venue and what would work and what wouldn't.
On the day of the wedding, Amanda and Emily were my coordinators. They made sure everything ran smoothly and always checked with me before changing any of the original plan. I never felt like I had to worry about a thing.
Guests are still telling us about how beautiful they thought the whole venue was, from the ceremony gazebo to the reception ballroom. Guests were also raving about how amazing the food was (we got the salmon and steak duet), as well as how fantastic the dinner service was. Not to mention the delicious chocolate covered strawberries!
I highly recommend the Turnip Rose Promenade & Gardens if you want a venue that is private, affordable, beautiful, and comes with great service.

Great wedding experience and great value. Celebrations at Turnip Rose provided us with a beautiful ceremony venue, a unique reception venue with uplighting and lasers for dance floor, delicious food, ice cream bar, and most importantly wonderful service and planning. Their package deals are a great value considering everything that they include. Chrissy, the coordinator, worked with us from day 1 until wedding day and handled everything from last minute guest adds to making sure everything ran on schedule.
Many of our friends and family that have gone through the wedding planning experience talk about the stress, especially on the day of the wedding. In retrospect, my husband and I were a lot less stressed than we anticipated and I think we have Chrissy and the staff that night to thank for that. Service and events ran very smooth and that allowed my husband and I to just enjoy the wedding, take photobooth pictures, and dance.

We were so HAPPY with this venue. The services they provided were just amazing, from their catering food services to a wedding coordinator they included with our package. Barbi was the contact that helped us put everything together, she made sure everything was in place and made our wedding day perfect! The set up was wonderful, the food was AMAZING, the staff/servers were so friendly we even had guests call us the next day to tell us how great and accommodating they were! It was our first time getting married so she helped walk us through it, we were within our budget and this venue made us and all of our guests feel like a million bucks. They were very professional and had only positive things to say. There were no hidden fees so we knew up front what we were getting charged for. Very reasonable, the place was beautiful so we didn't need much decoration. They were on top of things and made sure we were on time. They worked with other wedding vendors and were very prompt with email responses. I would recommend this place to all of my friends!

Every single guest from my 5 y.o niece to our 80 y.o grandmother had a wonderful time at Turnip Rose! The main wedding coordinator, Chrissy, is absolutely wonderful to work with- she's professional, sweet and very experienced in what she does. The rest of the staff was also very professional and everything was taken care from the moment we arrived to the venue. Everyone also commented how wonderful the venue was- from the setup, the decor, to the wonderful food..everything was amazing! There was plenty of food passed around during the cocktail so no one was hunting down a server for some food. Turnip Rose offers so many options to choose from and the ice cream bar option was a big hit with all of our guests and the photo booth was also fun. I highly recommend Turnip Rose and Chrissy for your reception venue!

We got married at Celebrations by Turnip Rose on 2.15.14 and my husband and I couldn't be happier! Everything went smoothly and we got compliments from our guests on the venue, food, and service of the staff. We also appreciated the time the staff took to plan our event. They offered multiple food tasting events and meetings to go over everything. Every detail we wanted was executed.
It really was, the best day ever! Special thanks to our wedding coordinator, Chrissy Sherbanee. She was so sweet and accommodating throughout the entire process. She is also very responsive with email, which as a bride, i really appreciated. I'd also like to thank Melissa who also assisted us on our wedding day. When we looked at pictures of the venue Celebrations on their website, we decided that if it looked half as good in real life, we were in. The venue is gorgeous! It was especially easy when we found out that everything was included and we wouldn’t have to worry about items such as linens, chairs, lighting, etc. It just made planning so much easier. Working with Chrissy, the coordinator, was so easy. I’m sure it was annoying when I inundated her with questions and emails, but she was always so accommodating and quick in her responses. They were also very willing to change up items, such as allowing us to bring our own cake, and not charging any cake-cutting fees. Our friend who is a homebrewer, made several jugs of beer for us as a gift, and they let us bring it in without charging us any fees either. We didn’t have our own champagne glasses or cake cutting set, so they provided it to us. They even helped set up the centerpieces and lent us their own. I loved how they were so easy to work with. Anything we asked, they said yes, and didn’t charge us any extra fees. After hearing what my other friends went through with their venues, being charged an arm and leg for every little thing, I am so grateful we chose Turnip Rose, because they were incredibly easy-going.
We were even more blown away on the wedding day. We felt so spoiled. They brought out appetizers and drinks to us in the courtyard while we were taking pictures. Abby was our associate for the day, and she completely spoiled us, always checking in, making sure we were ok, bringing us drinks, making sure we ate. Abby even helped me with my flower hairpiece and my belt during my outfit changes. We loved the service! And we heard from our guests that they were treated well also.
Everyone complimented the venue, the food, the service. But even more so, we had the most pleasant experience with them. We had the most kickass wedding! We are so happy we chose Turnip Rose as our venue.

This is the one and ONLY venue my husband and I looked at before booking our wedding. We fell in love with the ceremony space at Turnip Rose. It is very Santa Barbara-esque, with a spiraling staircase you get to walk down to your groom. The reception venue, Celebrations, is actually a converted night club! Very modern and fun. The FOOD was amazing to say the least. My husband and I are foodies, and we LOVED every single thing they put in front of us to taste. It was very hard to decide - but we went with the Carmelized Garlic Chicken with potatoes and asparagus. We also did the ice cream bar, wedding cake appetizers, and it was all 5 star. Chrissy, the wedding coordinator, was just what I needed. Incredibly sweet, supportive, but also knew when to tell me "I've got it covered - don't worry!". The day of the wedding she ran the show and made sure to keep things running - organized and flawlessly. Kelsey took over in the later part of the evening and we loved her just as much! The Turnip Rose made my wedding absolutely perfect and I cannot thank every single one of them for everything they did to make our day as perfect as it was!

We planned our wedding at The Promenade & Gardens after looking at dozens of other venues. Initially we picked it because of location and the fact that it could accommodate a large wedding. Once we had a real opportunity to sit down with Barbi, go over all the details, and plan things out, it became clear we’d made a great choice. They are attentive down to every detail. They are consistently reachable by phone and email. And they know what they are doing. I don’t want it to sound like they’re a wedding factory, because they’re not. But they are very experienced at what they do. And it shows.
The food is phenomenal. I’d expect nothing less from one of Orange County’s premier catering companies. They have a huge variety of options and found everything to be delicious. We had a number of special meals required for some guests (food allergies, religious needs, etc) and they handled it easily and without any confusion.
We had our ceremony under the gazebo, the cocktail hour in the rose garden, and the reception inside. Initially we had planned to do the reception in the rock garden due to the number of guests (they recommend anything over 200 be outside), but we were able to move inside when we had some cancellations. The indoor space easily accommodated our group of 180 and despite my worries it was not too loud, too hot, or stuffy.
Our day-of coordinator was awesome. She kept us on track and on schedule, and without being pushy. She would simply ask us if we wanted to continue what we were doing or move on to the next event. For example, we were making rounds at the tables saying hi and she discretely came up and asked if we wanted to keep schmoozing or do our first dance. We had a couple of other random issues and they dealt with them competently and quickly, even beyond what I would have expected. Somehow around 20 of our favor jars showed up completely empty, so they took care of it.

We had our ceremony in their courtyard and reception at Celebrations. The planning process was so easy with them. Chrissy is hands down a rock star. The service starting with the planner, assistant planner, bartenders, food servers was just damn amazing. This on top of the amazing venue made it so unbelievable. When my then fiancee attended her friend's wedding at the Turnip Rose my fiancee kept saying how much she loved the venue all night. With plenty of photo ops you just could not take a bad photo. The venue has spanish architecture with two beautiful fountains and stairs. They were very professional and used their many years of experience to help guide and direct us. The wedding was smooth and we didn't many unexpected hiccups. The value was as expected but the planners were so great to throw in a few extras at no cost. Choosing Turnip Rose Celebrations to be our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made about the wedding. All of our guests kept on saying how great and fun the wedding was and how amazingly delicious the food was!! One of our friends, who never eats salad, finished the entire Apple Fuji Salad! One of our other friends had so much fun at the wedding that she is trying to convince her husband to have their vow renewal here LOL!! Everything went so smoothly, and we didn't have to worry or stress out about anything at the wedding. We ACTUALLY had time to enjoy our own wedding. The staff was so attentive and friendly, especially Chrissy. She was the BEST!! My husband and I were blown away by the amazing professionalism and overall expertise that Lori and the staff at Turnip Rose displayed at our wedding. Everything was flawless! We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out as well as our guests. We got compliments from everyone with how beautiful and awesome our venue was ... how could it not be - it use to be a club, definitely a great place to celebrate with all your favorite family and friends.

We could have not asked for a better venue. Lori, our coordinator, was on top of every detail and I never had to worry about a thing. Even when I had moments of anxiousness, she put my mind at ease and ensured all my questions were answered and everything went to plan.
After you place your initial deposit to hold your date, they give you a nice large binder that becomes your best friend for the next couple of months until your wedding. That binder kept all our invoices, paperwork, business cards, etc. For an overly obsessive organized bride, like myself, it was the best tool!
They are always in constant communication whether it be by phone, email, or USPS mail. You basically knew where you had to be at all times: payments due dates, dates for food tasting, dates for linen selections, coordination for cake tastings.
Now the venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. Your photos will come out gorgeous no matter where you take them. The ballroom is so spacious that you never have to worry about having guests bumping into each other or having enough room. And the best part of the ballroom are the twinkling ceiling lights. When you have your first dance it's as if you are outside dancing under the stars.
Day of your wedding, Lori/Wesley/ the rest of the team will be around whenever you need them. So much is going on but at the moment you need them they will appear.

So many of our guests told either us or our parents how great the Turnip Rose was, to the point of saying it was the best wedding they had attended! Service, food, responsiveness... all amazing. They are complete professionals in every way!
Planning a wedding while living out-of-sate could have been a disaster, but Lori at the Turnip Rose made things so easy for us. They handle all the details, which makes your life so much easier. It was the best decision we made. On the day of our wedding, there were so many people helping out in so many ways. We were able to sit back and take in our wedding day, as Abbi told us where to go and gave us everything we needed... including helping out our family so they could enjoy their time as well!

The Turnip Rose is AMAZING! It was worth every penny we spent to have our reception here. Everything was stress free and absolutely gorgeous. The staff was amazing, the details are outstanding, and all of your guests will be blown away by the event. The food is incredibly tasty and presented so well, and there are a ton of options for everyone involved. The dance floor is big, the table linens are lovely, and they are seasoned pros at weddings so you have absolutely nothing to worry about at any time!
We had a lunch wedding reception in January, which was definitely the way to go because it saved us a ton of money and was just as beautiful and amazing as a night reception would have been (more so even for my older guests). They arranged everything effortlessly and are super flexible, so explore all of your options and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. I am still getting calls from my guests about how beautiful the venue was and how incredible the whole day was. They also think we spend a ton more money than we actually did, which is always a good feeling (when someone thinks you spent double what you actually did, that speaks about the level of service and environment that Turnip Rose is). You will not regret having your reception at Turnip Rose!!!!!!

I love the Turnip Rose! I am so impressed with this company and the way that they ran my wedding. I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day and when I did the planning I felt reassured that everything would go how I wanted it. You get so much for your money with this place: a beautiful, romantic venue (there are twinkle lights in the ceiling that light up during the first dance!!), DELICIOUS food with beautiful presentation, a wedding planner who will help you coordinate timelines and suggest vendors (however they don't help much with the artistic, creative side of planning), a day of coordinator who keeps everything running smoothly, a wedding cake included in the cost (through Rockwell Creative Cakes), Festival of Strawberries (this is an upgrade but so worth it...chocolate covered strawberries injected with liqueur!), table linens and overlays, bar service (depending on your package), centerpieces (if you want them...i chose to do half their centerpieces and half my own)...I could go on. There are several different packages so you can choose which one you want based on budget. They gave us a gift basket at the end of the night with a piece of our wedding cake, chocolate covered strawberries, cheeses, champagne, and fruit!! So nice. They were so cool, calm, and collected and make you feel so special and comfortable. I couldn't be happier that I went with this company and would recommend it to anyone.

This is the prefect location to be married and have a reception. The property is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and it has everything you need at one location. The onsite consultant for Turnip Rose is named Chrissy, and she's FABULOUS and is there for you from start to finish. Her professionalism gets a 10+. Of course the location sales itself, but when you add in Chrissy and her team... FORGET it, their unstoppable then. Chrissy and her team is what made the Turnip Rose a home run. Our wedding turned out spectacular because of Chrissy and this location went prefect with our theme. This location offers everything you can image and more when it comes to service and food. And yes, the FOOD is to die for... Both cocktail hour and dinner where superb. The drinks kick ass and the desert stations where a HIT. It's a most have...

I left a review about the food under general Turnip Rose (Orange), so this review is about the venue specifically.
The Celebrations location used to be a club in a past life, so the set up as a wedding venue was perfect for us. The venue has its own house sound system, DJ booth, lighting, gobo projection, lounge areas, separate area for the cocktail hours, and a great bar setup. Renting Celebrations also includes linen, chairs, tables, centerpieces, and candles. Because of the lighting and set up of the venue, no extra decorations were needed (which was nice for our purse).
We planned this wedding from out of state and the pictures don't do it justice. The main reception room is partly underground, so there are no windows and the decor of the ceiling (with lights and all) made it appear very low. We went to Turnip Rose to actually look at their Grand Newport Plaza location (same building) and since we were already there we decided to look at Celebrations. We fell in love with it immediately! It gave us the "party" atmosphere we were looking for, whereas GNP was a little too "traditional" from what we initially thought we wanted. It didn't feel cramped at all and because it took place at night, it didn't matter to us that there were no windows.
Guests enter through a gate and walk down a covered sort of outdoor patio, with mini water "fountains" along the sides, lanterns, and green foliage. They then enter the inside of the venue through a set of doors and are in a hallway where TR has 3 lightboxes on each side (we used these to put up engagement photos). That hallway then opens up to a separate lounge and bar where most of our guests spent the cocktail hour (only a few stayed outside, most wanted to be by the bar). That lounge area has a sort of modern feel, with trimmed lights around the bar and a wall of "gold" on one side.
The actual reception room has a bar on one end near small lounge sofas and then lounge booths on the other end. They have TV's on the walls around the reception room, which was perfect for our photo slide show. The rest of the time, the TVs were showing the dance floor. During the night, one of the TVs (near the booth lounge area) was showing the movie "Cars" which kept the little ones entertained for a bit. The "dance floor" was not a separate material, but it was painted white to mark the distinction. I liked that because there was no raised level to get to the dance floor where people could possibly trip. Our guests loved the lounge/cocktail-like areas all around the room, as most of them didn't stay at their tables.
We took advantage of their off-season prices and had a Sunday wedding that was so worth it! Because the sound system is already built in, our DJ also gave us a discount because he didn't need to haul in all his equipment. If the timing of your event works out, you might be able to take photos in the Spanish-like courtyard of the building (but priority goes to those that rent Grand Newport Plaza). Pictures of the venue turned out amazing and the lighting definitely helped give it that party feel that will forever be remembered in those photos.

The Turnip Rose Grand Newport is a beautiful venue and we were so happy to have our reception there. My siblings both used this venue in the past and there is a reason that we also went with them...they truly know how to put together an amazing party!!! The staff there is top-notch. Lori worked with us to make sure that things went smoothly from beginning to end. The venue is beautiful! It looks like a Spanish villa with an amazing courtyard and fountains. They provided a coordinator that helped us from the initial planning stages to working with our other vendors on the day of the event. The food is EXCELLENT!!!! I'm sure you've been to other receptions and the food is not so good...not the case here. The food and presentation is really excellent. The way they set up our tables was so beautiful. Their attention to detail is unheard of. We are so happy at how they helped us make our day so memorable...Thank You to Lori and the rest of the staff at the Turnip Rose, Grand Newport Plaza!!!

I have nothing but high remarks for the Grand Newport Plaza/Turnip Rose. From the moment we viewed the site to our wedding day, the staff was professional, helpful, responsive and great to work with. Our guests are still thanking us for a wonderful time and are still raving about the food (and chocolate fountains). Lori was my coordinator and she was always quick to answer my emails and questions. Ernesto was amazing and was extremely thoughtful to give special attention to my husband's 89-year-old grandmother. Thanks to the staff, I did not have to stress about the reception decor, food, flowers, etc. and was able to enjoy every minute of the day. I would recommend this venue to any bride and groom.

I had a Saturday morning wedding during the off-season (March) so I really was able to take advantage of their discounts. Although Turnip Rose was about 2/3 of my overall budget, they provided so much expertise, service, and great food! I have not heard one complaint from any of my family, friends, and guests. In fact, people keep saying it was the best wedding ever. Thank you to Chrissy, Heather, and the entire Turnip Rose staff.
2 pieces of advice: Book them early and go to the tastings! Good luck...

The Turnip Rose is absolutely the best, one stop, one shop venue. It's gorgeous. Our cocktail party was outside and it couldn't have been more beautiful. The hors' were out of this world and plentiful. No one had to wait for another round.
Inside and prior to the dinner, the Turnip Rose is a catering company first, so the food is already the best. Every detail was tended to. There was not one misqueue. People raved about the service and the food. The staff was friendly and attentive. The extras were the best and Lori is quite the professional. Very easy to deal with. The dancefloor was very big and the room is spacious and newly decorated. You will not regret having your wedding reception there. They can also provide your wedding service as well.

I was completely happy with the Turnip Rose. Laura is wonderful to work with, and was very attentive! She made me feel like everything was under control, and the day went surprisingly smoothly. The food was great, and it was realy nice for them to send a basket of food home with us. We were extremely thankful for that when we got back to the hotel after a long day! :) It was a nice surprise. The staff is extremely professional, and very friendly. I would definitely recommend having both your wedding and reception at the Turnip Rose!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! This venue was the most unique location. The attention to detail caused no need for worry or concern the day of the wedding. The food was awesome. The place is pricey but is SO worth it! Our coordinator was always there if we had any questions or concerns. The wait staff was clean, professional and friendly. We even had a basket sent home with us full of food (perfect since we were not able to eat that day of the wedding, you will see). We would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be taken care of and treated like royalty the day of your wedding.

We knew we did not want a long engagement however trying to find a wedding venue in Southern California during the summer is near impossible. One day we had an appointment with Bleu Cotton Photography and they suggested The Turnip Rose. After talking with Bleu he took us downstairs to introduce us to The Turnip Rose staff. As luck would have it a cancellation came in while we were there and the newly available date was a "doable" date for us so we snatched up the opening!
The Turnip Rose staff is the BEST!!! I chose not to have a wedding planner and I am glad because The Turnip Rose has a coordinator on staff was was FABULOUS! The Turnip Rose took care of everything to make planning as simple as possible for us. The ceremony and reception both took place at The Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa. The wedding day ran so smooth for me, I didn't have to worry about a thing or lift a finger. They made our day very special. And considering we married within 3 months of getting engaged I would not change a thing about my wedding day. It will always be my one perfect day!

I cannot say enough good things about the Turnip Rose! They pampered us from our initial call until the minute we drove away from the reception. They got me a quote within hours. Lori was our coordinator and was so friendly and always returned calls and e-mails within minutes. If you don't want to worry on your wedding day, go with Turnip Rose - they are a well-oiled machine!
During the reception, our day of coordinator Krystal kept coming over to us, making sure we had every thing we needed. She got us Hors D'ouevres, drinks, and cake and delivered them to the Sweetheart table. She coordinated all of the vendors and checked on our parents throughout the reception. They even sent us to our hotel with a basket of cake, strawberries, sweets, champagne, sandwiches, and other snacks. We got so many compliments on the service, the location, and the venue - I really think the Turnip Rose single-handily made our reception a success.

If I could give higher than five stars for the Grand Newport Plaza and their entire staff, I would. They are a dream to work with and were highly professional and efficient. I received rave reviews from my guests on everything -the food, the staff, and the location. The GNP is run by the Turnip Rose, which is essentially a catering company, so the food is not the dry, bland food one would expect from a hotel. Food was one of my biggest priorities since it's a large portion of the reception and I wanted it to be good. People always say the bride doesn't have time to eat at her own wedding, but I MADE time because the food was delish. Lori was my coordinator and I had supreme confidence in her to take care of all the details - which she did, and made it look easy. The entire staff was very easy to work with during the entire wedding planning process, and my wedding day was perfect. Highly recommend Grand Newport Plaza!

I love that they provide everything with their packages, from the cake, the centerpieces (if you'd like to use theirs), and even decorating services! Barbi and Amanda are definitely a pleasure to work with... they are great at putting your mind at ease. Would definitely recommend this venue!

Turnip Rose goes above and beyond and I am so happy I made the decision to have our wedding there. Everything went perfectly and I was thrilled with my experience. Barbi was excellent throughout the entire planning process and our day of coordinator Amanda was terrific and on top of everything! Their service is outstanding and they do everything possible to make you have the perfect day!

Lori was amazing...she was on top of all the details. I felt so relaxed through the entire planning process and especially on mut wedding day. The bridal suite is perfect for all the ladies to get ready and it made for some beautiful photos too. The mens room where the from got to gather was like a perfect pub...pool, tv, bar...they were happy. The location is gorgeous with all the staircases and the spanish tile. Every time I drive by I smile

We had hundreds of pictures taken and some people would ask, "did you go somewhere else for the photoshoot" or the guests who were actually present in the recention was like "where was this?".... the place is simply the best! The staff were very professional... their motto "NO PROBLEM" is real.... they answer every single question we asked on the email, and trust me, we sent almost a thousand of them. The food was great... everything was just perfect!

The Turnip Rose, Celebrations was amazing. The feel is that of a very classy nightclub with a great in house speaker system and professional lighting. I'm a huge foodie and the food was some of the best I've ever had, and my guests agreed! Their service was first class. You don't have to worry about a thing when having a reception at Turnip Rose. Two of my favorite things were the strawberries which chocolate dipped and then you can have the injected with different liquors, and the ice cream sundae bar at Celebrations was a huge hit.

I never experienced the “you’ll know it when you see it” moment with a wedding gown, but I had it with the Grand Newport Plaza. I loved the swaying palm trees, red-tile roofs, dramatic double staircase and beautiful Spanish fountain.
Ernesto gave my mom and me the grand tour, and we connected with him immediately. He was incredibly warm and shared his personal experience of joining the staff after enjoying his own wedding at the site.
A number of things convinced me that we’d found our venue. First of all, it’s one-stop shopping. This place had everything we could possibly need for a stylish wedding, including an onsite catering kitchen and stunning outdoor courtyard full of greenery that didn’t require us to spend a penny on décor. You couldn’t pick a more photogenic site – our wedding photos turned out great!
There was a Tommy Bahama lounge with bar and plasma TV for my groom and his guys; a lovely bridal suite where I immediately envisioned myself getting dressed and relaxing with my bridesmaids, plus easy freeway access and complimentary parking. Our guests were able to enjoy cocktails under the stars after the ceremony instead of getting back into their cars to drive to another location for the reception.
The dining room is open and spacious, not a windowless hotel room, and outfitted with a large dance floor and twinkling stars that appeared on the ceiling for our first dance. (It sounds cheesy, but trust me, it’s romantic.) Best of all, the site belonged solely to us – we didn’t have to share it with another party on our wedding day.
The venue offers a Sweetheart Deal, which provides a discount for non-summer weddings taking place on a Friday or Sunday. We’d picked a Sunday in November, so it worked out perfectly for us. The package included our choice of butler-passed appetizers, one-hour open bar, a champagne and cider toast, a custom wedding cake (a huge deal!) served with tuxedo strawberries and a gourmet coffee bar.
We chose from a variety of graceful white candle centerpieces surrounded by complimentary rose petals. Not only did the flickering candles make the room look warm and inviting, but they saved us hundreds of dollars in floral centerpieces. The staff also did a splendid job of arranging rose petals on the foyer table displaying our guest book, framed photo and place cards.
There was a wide assortment of formal dishware, tablecloths and cloth napkins of various styles and colors to choose from. I selected a gold and pewter-trimmed ivory plate and a rich russet-brown overlay with a matching tablecloth accented by deep fuchsia napkins. Even my fiancé commented on how incredible the room looked.
On our wedding day, the venue employees treated us like rock stars. I’ve never seen such a well-organized staff – they wear headsets to communicate and keep everything running like clockwork. Heather, my wedding-day coordinator, was especially good at keeping me calm and informed; anticipating my needs and serving as a liaison between the rabbi and kitchen staff.
Everyone raved about the beautiful setting, great food and exceptional service. The Plaza also gave us our choice of a complimentary service. We selected the whimsical candy station, which our guests loved. The staff also sent us off with a basket of sandwiches and goodies, which we devoured that night in our hotel room.
I only have one critique. Our consultant, Lori, was well-organized and responsive, and I was grateful for her help during the nine months of planning. My family and I, however, didn’t feel that she treated us with the same warmth as the other staff who went out of their way to make us feel special. Perhaps that’s simply her personality or the pitfall of having to juggle dozens of people’s weddings at once. She was friendly and focused on us on our wedding day, though, which we greatly appreciated.

My husband and I had both our wedding ceremony and reception at The Turnip Rose. We liked that everything was in one location. Yes, the Turnip Rose is expensive, but we knew we'd get our money's worth. We also knew that we wanted quality food, and were very impressed with their food after we attended their Open House. We were able to sample practically everything, and had difficulty choosing when it came time to deciding our reception menu.
Lori Quinn was our wedding coordinator, and was easy to work with. She was quick when we emailed her with questions, and had everything run smoothly for our ceremony and reception.
Our family and friends all raved about the wedding, and especially loved the food. Many of our guests said they were actually full after dinner, which is often unheard of! We were glad we chose the Turnip Rose, and everything was better than we could've asked for.

My day was perfect!! There was a little confusion with the billing, they made some mistakes, however everything was resolved and ended perfectly. I wouldnt have wanted my day any other way. There was nothing I would've changed to make it more perfect. The staff was exceptional!!

Celebrations by Turnip Rose truly exceeded our expectations. They really went above and beyond in so many ways. Our wedding was all that we imagined and so much more. Their coordinators were the best! They met all of our requests, kept to our timeline, allowed us to eat without interruption, and took unforeseen changes in stride.

I was very impressed with the coordination and the service provided by the Turnip Rose. Everybody kept raving about their food.
When I booked with them, they had just switched over from being the exclusive vendors to one of the vendors there. Also, the person who I was originally working with left and when she left so did a lot of the promises she made me. There was a lot of confusion and diasppointments after I got switched to another person. They also nickel and dime you for everything - parking, security, dance floor, etc... but at the end of the day they do try and work with you to make you happy and all my guests had an amazing time. They were very detailed with their itiniery and had both a ceremony and a reception coordinator. They were on top of their stuff, but then again, I wouldn't expect anything less for that price.

All of my guests loved them. They said they were great with the kids and special orders. They were very accomedating with the food and it taste great!
