Brown has a passion for creating wedding ceremonies that are rich in love and in life. April is an ordained Christian minister and a certified star member of the American Academy of Wedding Professionals. The Marital Minister welcomes all couples, regardless of backgrounds, beliefs, and life experiences.

In addition to wedding ceremonies, The Marital Minister can be present for rehearsals and vow renewals. April and her team specialize in ceremonies for Baptist and Evangelical couples, and customized vows are available. Highly Recommend!

With Minster April’s guidance & help everything went so smooth. She is very professional, and easy to work with. The entire process was stress free, we had no doubt that she would be excellent for our wedding. All of our guests were absolutely charmed by her and made positive comments. We couldn’t be more pleased with choosing Minster April. She is such blessing!

Amazing Officiant!

April was absolutely wonderful for officiating our wedding. We had to short notice move up the date of our wedding due to my husband’s father’s medical condition, and April was so accommodating through the whole process, making it as easy as possible for us. She also didn’t hesitate when we asked if she could officiate for my husband’s sister and her wedding on the same day due to the circumstances. Then, the following day after the wedding, she even hosted the “celebration of life” memorial service for my husband’s father who sadly passed two weeks before the wedding. Overall, her professionalism, kindness, and personal touch on each event makes her someone I would recommend to anyone looking for an officiant.

Our Amazing Day.....

I must say Minister April Brown was the perfect officiant for our wedding. We were so grateful that she officiated our wedding ceremony! Minister April answered all of the questions we had months before our wedding. She helped us fully understand each part of the marriage registration process. Minister April was personable and made us feel comfortable from our first meeting. Thank you Minister April for making our Special Day so memorable!!

Perfect Fir

I found Minister April here on Wedding Wire and we couldn’t have found a more perfect person to officiate our wedding. I felt good about her from the first phone call, she was super responsive, took the time to get to know us, and regularly checked in before the ceremony to make sure she had any updates. She was wonderful and we are so thankful she officiated our wedding. She also promptly filed our marriage license which was important because we were able to get copies before heading back to Chicago. If you are looking for an officiant for your wedding in the Virginia Beach area, we highly recommend Minister April!

Wonderful Experience

Minister April married my husband and I this past September. Ever since our first conversation she was warm, inviting, and professional. The same thing goes when we finally met her in person at the wedding rehearsal. She ensured to ask us questions regarding the vision for our ceremony and executed our wants perfectly and with such beautiful words. We cannot thank Minister April enough for officiating our ceremony.

Mrs. April was amazing! She officiated our wedding in July. Communication was easy with quick responses. She listened to everything we wanted and helped the vision for our ceremony come true. Would definitely recommend her to any future couples getting married.

Truly one of the best officiants in Hampton Roads

We were married August 20th by April she was so delightful to work with as she really put us at ease on our day of our wedding! She was very professional, just has all the right words and made our wedding day easy and unforgettable! We highly recommend booking April!

We also did sign up for her amazing pre marital counseling prior to the wedding to help us learn about each other more before the wedding and really setting the table to ask us good question about how we felt about topics like finances, our type of love, how we handle conflict and we even took a survey separately to see what each other says and feels about topics that are important to us. We definitely will say this was a great option to sign up for as well because we feel a lot closer now and it REALLY put us at more ease with being able to talk about issues or things we have been needing to talk about prior to the wedding that we as a couple.

April, you were amazing! I thank God that he lead us to your for our pre-martial counseling and to officiate our wedding. From beginning to end April was by our side, explaining the flow and expectations, and was very open minded, gentle, firm, and honest. She guided us through the challenging topics and share a wealth of best practices, coping methods, and consideration of the spouse. She was very professional, welcoming, and overall easy to be vulnerable with. It was great having April while navigating through this experience.
