Stephanie is the BEST. Her talent, passion and work ethic are so admirable and there is truly no one better. All of my bridesmaids had very different looks that they wanted, and she and Kelsey got them absolutely perfect. Its been over two months since our wedding and people are still talking about how amazing all of the bridesmaids looked, and of course my wedding hair and makeup! My grandmother describes my hair as a work of art, and it truly was! Although I was just a tad stressed that morning—trying to make sure everyone was on time and we didn’t forget anything, she and Kelsey brought such a happy and peaceful presence with them and made the morning of my wedding absolutely perfect. Stephanie was selected because she had a portfolio illustrating that she could do makeup for a diverse group of brides and bridesmaids. She made everyone in the bridal party's makeup toe the perfect balance between complementary and powerful. The hair was incredible too and she was able to do everyone's requested style perfectly. She also worked with us over a year and half through COVID delays and we couldn't be more grateful for that!

Short version: The Makeup Culture should be hired for any and all events that you ever need. They're kind, professional, understanding, and have artistic talents for DAYS. I would recommend Steph a million times over!

Long version: Prior to finding Steph at the Makeup Culture, I had pretty much given up finding someone to do my makeup. But finding and working with Steph was a god-send. During this crazy time of COVID and my tiny wedding, she was willing to talk me through what was needed and when I felt too stressed, she was fine discussing things however was best for me. BLESS.
Even once we met up, she was professional and yet so laid back, making sure that no one else had hair similar to me (the bride). She was excited for my wedding and was so easy to talk to and get along, and never ONCE did I feel uncomfortable. Her and her assistant, Kelsey, were THE BEST.

In fact, I felt so comfortable with her, and her knowledge, that I told her to do whatever she wanted with my makeup. ON MY WEDDING DAY. And it was honestly the best decision I could have made. She made me feel beautiful and comfortable wearing more makeup than I have before (which is needed for those photos, trust!) and her vision with my Halloween wedding and dress was PERFECTION. They made what I expected to be a stressful time before the wedding into a fun, relaxing, happy part of my wedding day memories.

Highly recommended. SO worth it. DO IT.

Stephanie and her team are a dream. I'm a wedding planner in the Raleigh area and I am always impressed with Stephanie and her team. They are always prompt, professional, and all of their services always look amazing. (And the hair and makeup truly lasts, I've seen a lot of girls after dancing for hours and they still look flawless). I recently worked with Stephanie and one of her artists had an emergency the afternoon before the wedding. Stephanie not only reached out to me to make sure we could still make the day great for our bride, she came to me with a plan on how we could move forward. The bride never knew anything different and all services were properly completed. For this reason alone, I always recommend Stephanie because when life happens (and it will), you need a professional who is tried and true and truly wants the best for her clients.

From our makeup trial to the wedding day, she was so wonderful to work with and a master of her craft. She took time to see my vision for the day, worked with me throughout the process, and brought everything to life on the day of the event.

Not only that, I had 12 people that received hair and makeup the day of my wedding, and she was SO organized and amazing to give everyone such a beautiful look! I hope to have another reason to work with Stephanie again!!!

I was super nervous/hesitant about finding a hair/makeup artist who would be able to work with my naturally curly hair - and Stephanie nailed it! Stephanie was so wonderful to work with! Before the wedding, she was responsive and receptive. I had a larger bridal party and a less-than-ideal amount of time for hair and makeup, and she worked diligently to ensure enough staff to get the job done while meeting our timeline.

Once I booked with Stephanie, we set up a hair and makeup trial. At my trial, I really felt Stephanie was hearing my concerns, and offering her expertise. I came out feeling absolutely BEAUTIFUL and confident in my decision to work with her and her team. As far as quality of her products and her work, Stephanie is truly second to none. Many of my bridesmaids questioned my decision not to use airbrush makeup (I'm just not a fan), but after having their makeup done the day of were so impressed. One literally commented they had "no idea that non-airbrush makeup could look so flawless". Stephanie is also incredibly knowledgeable about skincare and makeup products, and truly individualizes her work.

On the day of, Stephanie and her team delivered the same quality, positivity, and beautiful outcome that I experienced during the trial. I truly could not have been happier. I am very particular about my appearance (and truthfully, spent a lot of time worrying about this part of the big day), but Stephanie and her team eased any concerns I had. Each of my bridesmaids had the unique features that make them beautiful emphasized in ways I can hardly describe. They helped each one of us look our best, and I am so very thankful!!! I would highly recommend Stephanie and the Makeup Culture time and time again. They are simply excellent in all facets of their work.

Steph and her team with the makeup culture were wonderful people to work with for our wedding. She is the kindest and most patient person, and it was a blessing to interact with her as she did my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She was very kind about any schedule changes and was willing to come to our Airbnb when we needed a place besides our venue to get ready. My mom has never had her hair and makeup done professionally and she was thrilled with the results. My hair stayed up all day and night and I didn't have to think about it! Definitely use this company if you have a chance.
