Donnie came up with beautiful designs within the parameters my daughter specified. The bridesmaids' bouquets were beautiful; the bridal bouquet simply stunning! All the arrangements at the reception venue were perfectly suited to my daughter's Christmas wedding. Every aspect of working with The Ivy Chest was pleasant and professional. Thank you, Donnie, for making my daughter's wedding beautiful!

There are so so many good things we can say about Donnie. She played a HUGE part in making our wedding dreams come true. She was on sight from around 2pm to at-least 7:30pm making sure all of the flowers and other decor items were where they should be. She made the most beautiful floral arrangements and set up the most amazing ceremony for us. She made sure everything we had wanted happened, and constantly checked with us on the day of to make sure we liked it all. She even made a pocket boutonnière for the first time just for my fiance and it was AWESOME! Donnie will go above and beyond to make your wedding floral and decor dreams come true.

Donnie is almost a one stop shop. She was my florist and wedding planner. The bouquets and other greenery were absolutely gorgeous! She answered all my questions and concerns. Knowing next to nothing about weddings, she was an invaluable source of knowledge on everything. I loved working with her and her team. If you're looking in the Winchester VA area don't miss her!

Donnie does AMAZING work! She really brought my wedding to life with her floral designs. You give her a vision you have, and she follows through plus more! She really does an amazing job and she made my wedding so beautiful. She is such a kind and friendly person to work with!

Donnie and her team were incredibly easy to work with. They were laid back, insightful, and fun. Two moments that stood out were when they were able to meet us all the way in DC to pick up the centerpiece props they would be working with a month ahead of time, and when they made no hesitation to jump into action to secure some wobbly wrist corsages. The flowers were beautiful and an incredible value for what we received.

The Ivy Chest and working with Donnie and her lovely daughter's was a wonderful experience for us during these past few months getting ready for my daughter's wedding - Donnie created some beautiful floral arrangements for us and she, along with her daughter, was my "day-of" wedding coordinator. I can't say enough good things about how flawless the day went with those two in charge all day. Thank you for all you did for me :)

I will never be able to thank Donnie and the rest of the Ivy Chest team for their professionalism, creativity and resourcefulness. I hired Donnie as a day-of coordinator for my 10/30/21 wedding at the Bright Box theatre. I was on of those brides that started getting worried about day-of logistics and Donnie and her daughter solved every single issue I had even before the wedding.
- Donnie knows the surrounding area very well, so after hearing that we were paying over $2,000 for a shuttle, she was able to recommend a local service that ended up saving us up to $1,500.
- Donnie and her team are also AMAZING florists that provide beautiful centerpieces for the our rehearsal dinner last minute.
- I had already contracted with ANOTHER florist that turned out to be a complete disaster the day of my wedding. I was in tears over my bridal bouquet and without me even knowing, Donnie made me a completely new, beautiful bouquet. She even made a boutonniere for my groom to match. They completely SAVED THE DAY.
- Their creativity was amazing to see, they used the decor a brought for our venue in ways I wouldn't have even thought of. I loved seeing their passion for creating unique wedding experiences come to life.
From what I heard from other brides, your day-of coordinator is supposed to solve all the issues without any of them coming back to you - the Ivy Chest team went above and BEYOND to make sure our dream wedding was executed. My only regrets are not hiring Ivy Chest as my FLORIST and wedding coordinator sooner. Donnie and team were truly fun and personable to work with. We came to Winchester to get married and we honestly left with new friends! I cannot wait to see the Ivy Chest grow as a business, I know they will be so successful because of the love they showed us in all the hard work they put into our wedding details.

This review is for two services provided by the Ivy Chest: wedding flowers and day-of coordination.

The flowers were beautiful and arrived on-time to our venue. The bride was happy with her bouquet and both the ceremony and reception decor were well executed. There was a small issue with the Ivy Chest taking the bride's bouquet and centerpieces during clean-up (which was not specified in our contract), but we were able to obtain these items the following day. It was an inconvenience, but we were grateful to receive the items back. We'd overall recommend the Ivy Chest for flowers.

We would, however, not recommend the Ivy Chest for day-of coordination at this time. We do not feel an adequate level of attention to detail was given to us or our wedding. We found ourselves repeating details of our day and correcting mistakes throughout the process. Communication was lacking and was often interrupted by other, unrelated calls. Days before our event and we never received a seating chart, despite this being a service provided in our contract. Once we received it, we had to redo most of it due to mistakes and inconsistencies. After our contract was mutually terminated, we coordinated our own wedding, which was the right decision for us.
