I had the privilege of working with Erika and Ryan of the Greatest Adventure for not one, but two weddings! The first, an elopement during the pandemic in June (we used her for day of coordination), and the second a full wedding in December (we did full planning). Divorce sucks, but you know what doesn’t? Having the certainty the second you got engaged again that you needed Erika hired before anyone else.

Having done this process twice, I can say with full confidence that Erika has the best recommendations for vendors, some I got to work with twice! Planning a wedding can be so challenging and she simplifies things for you based on what your vision is.

Erika is the reason your wedding day will not only be amazingly beautiful, but also enjoyable for you too! We got married in a snow storm and I spent the morning of the wedding grooving out to music with my HMU artist and eating breakfast by the fireplace while everything else was getting taken care of. Do you want to worry about coordinating a flower set up in a snow storm? How about making sure that your guests who have special dietary restrictions get their food? Or being the person that all vendors and family/friends can ask questions to while your head is literally spinning? At one point during our rehearsal she asked me a timeline question and I told her, “I’m going to need you to just tell me what to do every hour of this day”--and she did! She also was 100% supportive of our vision to get married outside in the snow in December on top of a mountain. I can’t tell you how many family members asked us how this would work, but it ended up being the most magical day!

Erika will also be the reason why the lead up to your wedding will be stress-free. I graduated from grad school in the summer, put in an offer on a house in the fall, and hosted Thanksgiving for 20 people the week before the wedding. If I had a dollar for every time someone asked us how this was possible, I would be rich enough to pay Erika back for her services. Never, at any point during the planning process, was I stressed that things were not going to work out or get done.

Erika was our rock throughout the wedding planning process. We had a small wedding of 50 guests but the venue was at the top of Crystal Mountain so there was a layer of difficulty with logistics that Erika had to handle.

My husband and I did not have many opinions on what our wedding should look like initially, and had only booked a venue before reaching out to her. Even with the lack of vision, Erika was able to pull together a design plan and guide us through the entire planning process.

We mostly went with her recommended vendors and all of them delivered at or above expectations on our big day. The only vendor who fell a bit short was one we had picked for ourselves, so that goes to show how much care and experience Erika has when recommending vendors.

We did not need to have many meetings with Erika throughout the process. Erika made every check-in purposeful and both parties left with our own to-dos that we can complete on our own. I felt a lot of relief after every check-in with Erika because her obvious competence filled me with confidence.

On the day of, I felt almost like a guest at my own wedding because of how well Erika ran the show. She coordinated all the vendors and directed us through the whole day without my husband and I having to think about anything related to logistics. I'm sure issues came up but she was great at shielding us from them and making it a seamless experience for us and our guests.

Many friends reached out to me in the months leading up to the wedding about how stressed I must be with wedding planning in full swing. We both had full time jobs as well. I was always able to answer sincerely that I actually felt not stressed at all, and that it felt like my husband and I weren't really doing all that much on the planning front. I remember telling friends that I felt like maybe I'm not doing wedding planning correctly since everyone else I've heard go through it was so busy and stressed out the whole time. I attribute most of this lack of stress to Erika and am so grateful to have had her leading the team.

Choosing Erika was the best decision we could have made when planning our Washington elopement in under 3 months. She showed up for us consistently, proactively, and on time. These traits are musts for a once in a lifetime occasion. On top of that, the relationships she has in the industry made the whole experience smooth and simple. Erika's excellent planning and coordination allowed myself, my husband, and our families to completely relax and enjoy our wedding day! I had complete trust in Erika to make things run smoothly throughout the day, and they absolutely did. She was tuned into every detail, communicated with all our vendors, and was extremely on top of the timeline and making sure things moved along at the right speed. Her and Ryan set up our space beautifully, and left things super organized at the end of the night. My husband and I are SO glad we decided to elope and even happier that we hired Erika and Ryan to help us plan it! We're just a couple midwesterners looking for adventure and we would have been lost without them. They provided all the information we needed and even gave lodging recommendations for our honeymoon! They are organized, knowledgeable, and worked extremely well with our vendors. Their insight on locations for the ceremony, photos, picnic, etc, was invaluable!

We loved that they personalized our ceremony by having us fill out a questionnaire beforehand (that really had me crying). They were also helpful with the small things like holding a mirror up, being an extra hand, or helping me with my veil; anything at all, they were happy to help.

We were also absolutely speechless when we saw the picnic they arranged for us. Everything about our day felt magical and went smoothly because of them (and Ryan was an amazing officiant). We had nothing to worry about and could be in the moment for the entire experience, which is priceless. They were also great company to have for our special day and put all our worries at ease!

Our elopement was above and beyond everything we'd hoped it could be, and we highly recommend Erika and Ryan to any couples planning their big day!

Hiring Erika to help plan and coordinate our wedding was easily the best decision we made in this process! Erika was communicative and professional - always taking the time to answer my questions or talk through any uncertainties I had. She was also very flexible, centering what we wanted at all times, never pushy about her preferred vendors or anything like that. We initially hired Erika for "Final Wedding Planning and Day of Coordination" but ended up upgrading our package because we were so impressed with her! The day of she made everything come to fruition seamlessly which allowed my husband I to just fully enjoy the day and our guests and not worry about a thing. She has an immense wealth of knowledge of vendors, design ideas...you name it! She really took our vision for our wedding and turned it into a cohesive and beautiful weekend. My husband and I used the Greatest Adventure to help plan our elopement and they were beyond amazing. We are located in Kansas and Erica made sure we had everything we needed for our elopement which took place in Washington.

While planning our wedding we were running into a lot of stress because we wanted to elope, but we still wanted the overall feel of a wedding. From our first phone call with Erica I knew she was going to be perfect for planning our elopement.

During the initial call we discussed what we were looking for and she had ideas and recommendations for vendors to help us accomplish this. She was able to provide a list of vendors for everything we needed such as photographers, hair and makeup, florals, and cakes. After we selected vendors she took care of everything else. My husband and I just had to show up. The day was seamless and stress free. Since we were eloping with just the two of us we had a mini cake that was to die for, and Erica put together a spectacular charcuterie board for us to have. She had candles that matched the colors of my bouquet and brought everything we needed. Erica also officiated the wedding and it felt special and unique to us.

When we first started our wedding planning journey, we felt overwhelmed with the expectations that came with it, and discerning what we really wanted. After some time, my partner & I decided to focus on making a wedding that felt uniquely us — cozy, intimate, at our home. To pull this off, we found Erika — and we’re so glad we did.

We had woefully underestimated the complexity of a home wedding thinking it’d be “simpler,” but Erika helped us navigate all the complexities. We really wanted our home to be transformed, and with that, came a lot of planning & design work. Erika listened and not only helped us nail our design vision, but she was organized, helped us find amazing (!) vendors, and kept us on timelines. When we were searching for our wedding planner, we felt like some excelled more in organization, and some in design, but it was hard to find a perfect blend of both. Erika is absolutely both!

In the end, our wedding day was truly a dream. Both my husband & I were taken aback at how our home transformed into a wedding venue day-of. Erika was a master at helping everything run smoothly — we both went throughout the day getting to really relish in the moment, and not having to worry about a thing. All our friends & family kept gushing to us at how special and intimate the day was. We couldn’t be more grateful for Erika and all the months of work that went into this day. Erika and her team made my elopement unforgettable! I knew I couldn’t plan a destination elopement on my own, and choosing Erika was the best decision I could’ve made! The whole planning process was so easy. She was able to take care of most everything and give outstanding recommendations!
