This venue is luxurious and elegant and can accommodate up to 180 guests for a wedding ceremony or for a seated event with a dance floor. For a buffet event with a dance floor, Barnett On Washington can accommodate 175 guests. For cocktail style mixers, there’s adequate space for 200-220 guests. There is also an outdoor patio area. History
This historic venue began as a space housing Central States Life Insurance Company in 1921. Its style is unique and stylish, as it was designed by St. Louis architect Tom P. Barnett and constructed in the Mission Revival style. Over the years, the building had various functions, housing insurance companies, a publishing firm, art and music schools and a nightclub. The building has been restored to its original elegance and grandeur and is now used for events, offices, meetings, weddings and other group gatherings.
