Facilities and Capacity
It is the goal of the staff at The Larimore to make your wedding an event that showcases your tastes and style. As such, there are a variety of ways in which you can arrange the locations throughout the property to mark your big day. There is the option of a gazebo as well as a chapel for exchanging your vows. A garden on the property adds to the whimsical nature of the property and also provides a setting for photoshoots. For the reception, the banquet hall offers you the chance to celebrate into the evening sheltered from the weather. This elegant space possesses wood flooring and neutral tones, making it suitable for an array of wedding themes.
For your wedding, The Larimore employs a coordinator to ensure that your use of the facilities runs smoothly. When you rent the estate for your reception, ceremony, or no ceremony, you are given access to the mansion, gardens, and the banquet center. For the convenience of your loved ones, there is parking, which is also lit. You can also rent the estate for just your ceremony which includes a cocktail hour. Sound systems can also be provided, helping everyone to hear the magical moment when you say “I do.”
The estate has a menu specially made for weddings. You have the option of plated or buffet-style for your special day. Your guests can choose between an array of chicken and beef dishes complemented by fresh salads and pasta creations, among other culinary delights. Bar services are also available to top off your event’s meal.
The property that The Larimore sits on was purchased in 1850 by Wilson Larimore. In 1858 the manor house that you can now host your wedding in was built. A number of the accents and details were crafted in the Italianate style, giving the house a sense of refinement. Eventually, the Penningroth family bought the property and for a century used it as a holiday home. Finally, in the late 80s, the house was purchased and the new owners renovated the mansion with attention to all the historical details.

Larimore provided everything needed and more for our wedding ceremony/reception. This could not have gone more smoothly without the help and careful preparation of Dena. Months after, our guests are still letting us know how great it was. We can't recommend this venue enough!Sent on 06/24/2018

Fun Photo has had the opportunity to work with the Larimore House on several occasions. The venue is beautiful, staff was wonderful to coordinate with and the food was beyond compare! I would add this to my top 10 venues in town.
This is a lush, beautiful venue with a great & helpful staff! I always enjoy officiating here.
Officiated a wedding at this beautiful venue in Sept 2015 and could not have been more pleased with the setting and the work of the husband/wife in coordinating the entrance of the wedding party for the ceremony. Made my work easy and I know the couple was pleased.
