As the Mother of the Bride, I cannot recommend Ces & Judy’s catering enough.
Our venue had a list of preferred food & beverage caterers. The bride and I spent a lot of time working through menus and asking for RFPs. There were some that I did not even hear back from. Ces & Judy’s were right on top of it and were accommodating to all of our questions.
We are from Kansas City with the wedding in St. Louis so we really only had reviews to go on while choosing our caterer for this event. Then, we hired a Day of Coordinator and she confirmed that Ces & Judy’s has great food and a great staff and that she had worked with them many times. We booked them without even a tasting as neither of us could get to St. Louis prior to needing to get someone booked.
What a phenomenal decision. From start to finish, Ces & Judy’s went out of their way to work through menus and options with us. I’ve never planned a wedding before so their expertise was greatly appreciated. They responded to all of my emails in a timely manner and always answered my questions in great detail. The food and beverage planning portion of the wedding was so easy with Ces & Judy’s.
Where Ces & Judy’s really shine is in the day of service that they provide. Darla was our event manager and she took such good care of us starting just prior to the wedding day. She confirmed all of our choices and made sure that everything was on the list that we needed including linen counts, silverware and cake service items. We had provided a couple of names that had dietary restrictions and Darla made absolutely sure what they needed, their names and where they were going to be sitting was covered on her end. The evening of, she personally came over and made sure our waiter gave the correct dishes to the correct people.
Darla had me send her the room layout and I also had a list of who was at which table, where at the table and which meal they had selected. I don’t know that everyone has this to provide but our dinner service was absolutely flawless as far as I could tell. You could see the care to detail that Darla provided leading up to the big day. The waiters were incredible and checked on us constantly. The bartenders were always on their toes and made the best drinks. Not too strong, not too weak and delicious.
And the food. Wow. We did get to go to a tasting after we booked Ces & Judy’s officially but did a tasting for any last-minute changes. The food the day of was as great as or even better than the tasting. We served three appetizers at the cocktail hour, a full dinner (salad & main with a roll) and a late-night snack. I’ve heard so many complements about the quality of the food and the plating. Ces & Judy’s also helped serve the individual cakes that my daughter chose which I think is incredibly helpful.
Everything we provided was returned clean and in great condition.
If you are looking for a quality caterer for your wedding or an upcoming event, I encourage you to try Ces & Judy’s. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Everything was incredible! I have to start with Darla: hands down fantastic to work with!! Weddings have so many details beyond what we initially imagine, Darla is the “calm in the storm” ! Of all the details Ces & Judy’s was nothing but perfection and I felt 100% Peace & confidence in them. The taste testing blew us away: presentation, quality and taste. Our wedding buffet did NOT disappoint! So many compliments from our guests! The food was delicious, hot, our beef tenderloin was perfectly prepared, as was the Cajun chicken. Many times you worry about chicken being dry, but it wasn’t. The chicken was moist and delicious.
The staff/servers were very professional and so kind.

Ces & Judy's was amazing to work with for our wedding. Our guests ranted and raved about how amazing the BBQ was and have told us every time we've seen them since! C&J even packed us a delish to-go container. They were wonderful!!

Ces & Judys was INCREDIBLE to work with. As one of the many couples who had to reschedule a 2020 wedding, they were so understanding and gracious with every aspect. When it felt like I things were falling apart, Ces & Judy’s was a solid reliable. They were wonderful in so many ways, and in particular I have to give a shout out to my point person, Kara!

Kara is communicative and personable. She’s smart, quick, and detail-oriented. When I felt overwhelmed and didn’t know what to pick, she helped me make decisions that I ended up loving. Her years of experience doing this shine through from day one to post-event breakdown. Kara interfaced perfectly with our other vendors to help coordinate our event. She’s a gem.

As a more general review, the food is excellent!! Big ups to their chef! We chose a buffet and the base choices were amazing, the upgrades were reasonably priced, and the things that were supposed to be spicy were spicy!!! No bland or boring wedding food here.

Also, C&Js gave us great flexibility to customize our food & beverage menu. They let us keep food options from their 2020 menu that were no longer on the 2021 menu. They included custom coffee bar options for us. When they found out my dad is a beekeeper, Kara even suggested we do a custom cocktail incorporating his honey which was, first and foremost, delicious, but also just a thoughtful, above and beyond extra that made our day that much more personal and special.

I wholeheartedly recommend using Ces & Judy’s as your caterer for a wedding or any event! There’s a reason they’ve been around in stl forever. Five stars all around!!!

Ces & Judy’s is the perfect option for your catering needs! Don’t even hesitate! The food was absolutely delicious and our guests have not stopped talking about it. They have a ton of options in a variety of serving options. We worked with Kara, who was absolutely fabulous, and she ensured every step of the process was hassle free. They were incredibly respectful of our wishes and I cannot speak more highly of them. Would absolutely use them again!

Where do I begin? Ces and Judy's catering was nothing short of AMAZING. From the beginning when we booked to the wedding day, their attentiveness and responsiveness was refreshing, because planning a wedding can be so overwhelming and almost intimidating. When we first met with Bailey for our consult, she made the entire process fun, and helped us make decisions and add little touches and changes to our menu to make it more "us". I am not kidding when I say everyone that came to our wedding LOVED the food. Bailey made the entire process of planning the menu easy and honestly was always there for any questions. Fast forward to COVID times (we booked in 2019) and Bailey was there to answer questions and make sure we felt comfortable with the processes they put in place at the wedding. For instance they all wore masks and installed plexiglass in between the guests and the food. The servers at the wedding were AMAZING. Their team was so attentive and polite, we could ask for nothing more. We are happy to support this business and I wish we could do it all over again so we could enjoy the food again! If you are looking for a caterer, check them out. I promise you will not be disappointed.

My venue required that we use a preferred caterer and honestly I wasn’t really impressed with any of them until we found Ces and Judy’s! The food was awesome and the contact person Bailey was so responsive and helpful! I think every person at the reception went back for seconds!

Lizzie from Ces and Judy's was awesome. She catered (no pun intended) to our every need, want, and wish! Not to mention, the food was delicious. People are still raving about it a week later! Weddings can be stressful but this team made sure to eliminate it from this part of the planning!

A-MA-ZING!!!!! From start to finish, couldn't have made a better choice for my daughters wedding! With so many menu options, there really is something for everyone. We chose the Themed Stations, a HUGE hit with our guests. It was so unique and we could customize what we wanted at each station, so yummy! The catering staff not only cleaned up the food and linens, but also helped tear down all the decorations. Our Coordinator Lizzie was great to work with and helped us manage all aspects of our catering needs. We had nothing but compliments from all our guests on how delicious the food was. Great job Ces and Judy's, we couldn't be any happier!

I worked with a darling young woman named Lizzie Glamore. Her answer to my every request was "Of course we can do that!" I know the quality of their food and professionalism from other events, but their prices were right in the ballpark of the price range I wanted to spend. She made it all so simple!
