The history of the property stretches back to 1875, when a German merchant, John Markward, built a house and guest house on the land for the love of his life, where he later married her. Since that beautiful moment, this venue has played host to many different in-love couples embarking on their next chapter together. Couples can begin their special day by saying “I do” out under the open sky, with the venue’s stunning pastoral scenes as their backdrop. From there, guests can journey to the porch for a fun-filled cocktail hour, before making their way into the dedicated event space for a reception to remember.
