The Brodie Homestead is a rustic, yet modern wedding venue located in Austin, Texas. This property was established in 1949 by John and Charlotte Weaver who utilized part of the building as a barn for their farm animals. Since then, it has been renovated, but its impressive cathedral-like ceilings and flagstone walls are still in place. The remodeling was carried out by current caretakers, Daniel and Vicki Ross, who take pride in being the next generation to run this family-owned site.
Facilities and Capacity
The Brodie Homestead invites couples to celebrate their love and commitment at this quaint location. Soon-to-be newlyweds can choose from a variety of indoor and outdoor locations for their ceremony and reception. The elegant indoor spaces set the stage for weddings with their exposed wood beam ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and recycled maple wood floors. Rafter lighting and dimmed Edison-bulb globe lights create a warm, intimate ambience for any event. A unique hanging plank system delicately holds floral arrangements above the dining and dancing areas. The tall stone walls can display decor such as string lights, leafy accents, and neutral-colored drapes to further enhance the room. The custom drapery can also be used to divide the space into separate areas. The building itself is bordered by outdoor walkways and lush greenery which can be used as refreshing backdrops for photos. Couples and their wedding parties are able to prepare for the festivities and relax in the property’s two get-ready rooms.
The Brodie Homestead offers a flexible vendor policy and customized floor plans to ensure that your wedding reflects your vision down to the last detail. For convenience, there is a prep kitchen on site for outside caterers. Daniel, Vicki, and their personable staff are on hand to carry out the initial setup and breakdown of each event. Items such as rustic tables and fruitwood chairs, as well as lighting and sound equipment, are also available. Couples who select this venue are offered a complimentary two-hour portrait or engagement photoshoot.

The most beautiful space
I absolutely enjoyed having this venue for not only my ceremony, but my reception as well. From the beginnings Juliana was extremely helpful in answering any questions I had. I had not only guests, but some of my vendors commenting about how beautiful and amazing this venue was. They were amazing with setting up/ breaking down and moving all the tables and chairs during my wedding. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue in Austin, that is reasonably priced and can accommodate a good number of people, then you should definitely look into the Brodie Homestead.Sent on 11/22/2020
