We hosted our daughter's wedding reception at Brodie Homestead last weekend. What a wonderful venue with such a cool vibe! We had almost 200 guests and had space for a bar area, dining area, and dance floor with space for a DJ. Everyone at Brodie was very professional and easy to deal with. Made for a great experience. We highly recommend their venue.

We had our wedding at Brodie Homestead in December 2023 and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue! We wanted a venue that was close to downtown, but still had a Texas vibe - this was the perfect location for our guests and is very well priced compared to many of the venues in Austin. Most of our guests flew in from out of state and we received many comments that Brodie was the most beautiful venue they’d ever seen!

Juliana and her team are great to work with - responsive & willing to answer a lot of questions. I highly recommend this venue!

Brodie Homestead was the only venue we toured, and we knew immediately that it was where we wanted to get married. The venue is the perfect juxtaposition of chic and rustic, with wood floors and a gorgeous limestone wall, and beautiful chandeliers. It was also so close to downtown, with plenty of parking, all indoors (super important for our June wedding), and the AC was fantastic! The Brodie Homestead team was communicative, and professional, and made sure we knew when our deadlines were and exactly what restrictions we had, down to little details (all very reasonable). I'd recommend this venue to anyone!

We had our wedding at the Brodie Homestead and were blown away by the event!

Throughout the planning process, Juliana was extremely responsive, accommodating, and helpful. We used many of the preferred vendors and were beyond impressive by the quality of service we received. The venue is beautiful without any flowers or decorations so with some additions, it was absolutely stunning!

We had a high guest count and almost all our guests were flying in, so we wanted a venue that was close to downtown (where everyone would be staying) and the Brodie Homestead was perfect! We used a lot of the in house furniture and everything was exactly what we needed. All the tables and chairs were set up for us in advance and broken down at the end of the night which really helped make the day run smoothly. 

Since the Brodie Homestead is mostly indoors (we ended up having a bar outside as well as cocktail tables and lights to give guests an option to go outside) we didn't have to worry about a rain plan - this took a lot of stress off our planning and it ended up being a beautiful, sunny day!

Overall, working with Juliana at the Brodie Homestead for our wedding made the planning a breeze and we were told by many of our guests that our venue was magnificent! We cannot recommend the Brodie Homestead enough!

This place is stunning. The soft lighting, the brick...everything! It's all just so gorgeous. Working here was such a joy and I cant wait to return.

I absolutely enjoyed having this venue for not only my ceremony, but my reception as well. From the beginnings Juliana was extremely helpful in answering any questions I had. I had not only guests, but some of my vendors commenting about how beautiful and amazing this venue was. They were amazing with setting up/ breaking down and moving all the tables and chairs during my wedding. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue in Austin, that is reasonably priced and can accommodate a good number of people, then you should definitely look into the Brodie Homestead.

This was such a perfect venue. They are professional and helpful. It’s naturally stunning and can be minimally decorated and still be perfect. I loved everything about this venue

I had my eye on this venue before my husband and I even got engaged so I was so glad they had an opening for our desired weekend! The venue is gorgeous and we loved the chandeliers! The people at the Brodie were so efficient and easy to communicate with which made our day go so smoothly!

Brodie Homestead is such a beautiful space and was perfect for our wedding.

As soon as I saw the pictures of Brodie Homestead, I knew this was where I had to have my wedding reception. The space is absolutely gorgeous and can be transformed to fit your vision. It was the perfect size for our 150 person wedding. There was plenty of room to move around while still keeping an intimate feel, which is exactly what we were looking for. We worked with Juliana and she was amazing throughout the entire process. She was very responsive to all of our questions and was also very helpful when it came to planning everything out. I couldn't recommend Brodie more! We LOVED it.

I attended a wedding at the Brodie Homestead in December 2017. It was magically breathtaking. I was experiencing my dream wedding right before my eyes. The Brodie Homestead was so naturally beautiful and the layout was perfect! Upon securing the space, the wedding planning process was made easier through the expertise and experience of the Brodie staff. We received so many compliments on our wedding day--the space truly spoke for itself. Stop searching and book the Brodie today!

Brodie homestead was absolutely perfect; it had everything we were looking for for our wedding day. Allison was so attentive and professonal and quick to respond to our questions which was super important to us. Thank you, Brodie for making our wedding so special.

Amazing venue!! We just got married at Brodie Homestead last week, and it was a perfect wedding. The staff was amazing before and during the wedding helping in every way we needed. All our guests commented how beautiful the venue is. This venue is nice because you don't need much decoration, since the chandlers themselves are so elegant. We also loved how you don't have to worry about the weather since everything is inside. If the weather is nice, we took really nice pictures behind the venue by a tree and in a field. Allison was the manager on duty that helped us with a pre wedding meeting and she made sure to know exactly how we wanted everything and it was perfect the day of. Highly recommend having your wedding here. Worth every penny to have a gorgeous wedding.

This venue was everything I could hope for on my wedding day! The staff were very helpful and always made sure I was happy with my decision. If you're looking for a venue that has a rustic and elegant feel to it, look no further than the Brodie Homestead!

Definitely worth the money

When my (at the time) fiance and I picked a wedding date, we had no idea how popular October weddings are in Texas! We thought 6 months to plan a wedding was just right, but then it quickly turned into a frantic search for a venue that wasn't already taken on our date. Luckily, I found the Brodie Homestead through the Allan House. (Same owners.) At first I wasn't seriously considering it, even though the pictures of the interior were lovely. (It was a bit pricey.) However, it had so many pros that we started to really consider it. (Indoors with air-conditioning!) And when my mother saw it and loved it too, it was a done deal.

The staff was easy to talk with and I communicated mostly via e-mail. They were usually pretty quick to respond. By the time of my pre-event walk-through, I was mostly in communication with Marissa. She was fun and answered all of my questions.

It used to be an old working horse barn. The exterior still holds that old charm, but the interior is amazing. It smells of wood when you walk in, and then you see the enormous space with high ceilings and wood beams, and a stone wall at the far end. And you'll be dazzled by the huge chandeliers. It made for the best mood lighting during our reception. And they can be turned up really bright if needed.

We had the room flipped from ceremony to reception, and while that happened, they had a curtain they closed that cuts the space in half. One side was cocktail hour while the other side flipped to reception. It had space for everything - the tables, buffet, DJ, cake table, gift table, cocktail tables, bar... you name it. And upstairs are two small rooms for the bride and groom to get ready in, each with their own bathroom.

It was stunning once everything was in place - the flowers, tables, the lighting, etc. We couldn't have found a more perfect place to get married!

Brodie Homestead was the perfect choice for our wedding, it is beautiful without much decoration, has a great location, and the venue manager is incredibly helpful and responsive during the whole process. It also was a great choice for us during Covid-19 as its an intimate space so it fit our smaller party well.

Beautiful and amazing venue!! It was a perfect place for our ceremony and reception flip. All of our guests commented how beautiful the venue is. The chandeliers add an elegant touch to the rustic elements and the stone walls brought that natural element in. It was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony!

We had a December wedding and a few days before the wedding, it snowed, but since everything is indoors at Brodie, we didn't have to have a tent plan or plan B so there was no stress there. Thankfully, the day of was absolutely beautiful and we were able to take our pictures outside in the field with the amazing trees and greenery they have. While it may not look like much in person, all the greenery and large trees and stumps make for amazing photos.

Allison was the manager on duty that helped us with pre-wedding questions and a pre-wedding meeting and she made sure to know exactly how we wanted everything. She was very responsive and accommodating. Thanks, Allison!

I had high hopes of getting married here and having a big wedding, then Covid hit!
We had to adjust our size and wanted to get married quickly! Brodie homestead was able to accommodate our micro wedding. It was small and perfect! The venue it self is breathtaking. Juliana and Mariam are wonderful and answered l of the thousand questions I had.
Well recommended!

We used the Brodie Homestead as the location for our Sangeet (Indian dance and music dance performances) the night before our wedding.

The barn itself is beautiful, but we felt it ended up being more expensive than the value that we got out of it. Some if it was because we had less guests (90) than expected (120) but we also had to spend money on things to make it more "wedding like" - including standing lights at the perimeter, stage lights and the music system for the dance performance.

We also did not find that their preferred vendor list was updated - I had a hard time finding for the right hair and make up artist. In addition, we had several problems with their stage lights / music system vendor that caused a lot of problems near the end close to the date of the event.

That being said, Juliana was helpful and response. and this is a good location if you want the barn look in a location within Austin. BYOB alcohol was also great,

Brodie Homestead is a gorgeous place for any event. I had a December wedding and it was wonderful. They were always so helpful from the beginning when we booked our date to the day of our event. The space is perfect to mold for any event.

WONDERFUL VENUE that sells itself. One look into that venue and we knew at the moment we wanted to have our wedding here. The staff did an excellent job providing information, explanation on things I had questions on, and let us walk around and truly get a feel of the place. Working with their vendors list is actually very easy, even though I used a different planning service, they were extremely helpful, worked together with the people I had choose and even went out of the way to make sure everything worked smoothly and that everyone was on the same page.

Worth the money, I would absolutely choose this venue if I had to do everything all over again!

Brodie Homestead ended up being a fantastic venue for our wedding in early February. The venue was a perfect size that was able to accommodate ~100 attendees, a DJ booth, photo booth, bar, and buffet, without ever feeling too cramped or nakedly sparse. We added minimal decor adjustments to the venue itself (no extra wall/ceiling decor) and still got compliments from guests all night about what a beautiful and cozy venue it was – and despite being tucked between two shopping centers, the entire occasion felt private and intimate. Venue manager Alex was such a pleasant and friendly person to consult with ahead of our booking, and was responsive whenever we emailed questions over. Our interactions with the other venue staffers were admittedly a little less friendly and decidedly hands-off – one onsite staffer in particular would typically let us in the door and go straight back to their desk and didn’t always seem the most receptive or attentive to our in-person questions. This occurred when we did venue walkthroughs with our coordinator and had the wedding rehearsal, which made it just feel a bit awkward when we had to file into a small office to ask a staffer who often kinda gave the impression we were interrupting. That said, we did ask a variety of questions over email and the phone and both staff members were patient and clear. One other area where we had a small amount of disappointment was in the handoff of venue specifics; we had been booked for quite a while before we had to expressly ask for documents related to venue layout, chair/table counts, other amenities – they were provided after we asked, but since they included such thorough and necessary information for event-planning/setup, we were a little surprised they weren’t provided upfront and that we had to ask. On the day-of, we had very limited interaction with the venue manager, but we spoke some with the security staffer who was friendly and professional. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier to have had our event here – the venue is so central and surrounded by so many vendors (liquor stores, grocery stores, restaurants) that it made our vendor deliveries infinitely easier and cheaper. While we had initially hoped to have an outdoor option for our wedding, the unpredictability of February weather compelled us to take this indoor venue as our more pragmatic/safe option – ultimately, the venue was so comfortable, versatile, and gorgeous that it never felt like we made a major compromise by staying indoors, and since we had an extreme warm spell that weekend, we were glad that we never had to worry about the weather on our wedding day.

I heard about Brodie homestead when talking to Juliana at the sister property (Allen House). I was a little unsure about the layout and the flip and almost skipped touring, but decided last minute to stop in, and I am SO GLAD we did. From the moment we walked in I could tell this was where my fiance and I felt most comfortable. Allison was very accommodating to our pop in and took the time to show us around. The venue is a little pricey for what is included and there is no off-peak season since it's an indoor venue. It has very comfortable bride and groom suites and comes with tables & chairs for 250. The space is so gorgeous with the chandeliers that it barely needs any decoration. Don't be fooled by the shopping center next door, once you walk in the doors you forget that you're in the center of south Austin.

We had our wedding at the Brodie Homestead on June 4, 2016. We had approximately 110 guests and the space worked perfectly for that number. Aside from the initial contracting and the month leading up to the wedding, we did not have much communication with Brodie Homestead. They were open to it, but we had a lot of vendors to work with and this was an easy one to put on autopilot. Our guests loved how beautiful the venue was and we are very happy we had our reception at Brodie. Make sure to take pictures out back by the trees - ours turned out beautifully. The only hard part is that everything has to be out of the venue on the evening of the event, which meant we had to rent a Uhaul because we had kegs, signage and all of our floral to remove. Just something to keep in mind when considering expenses.

I fell in love with this venue from the beginning and the staff we worked with - Marissa and Allison - were very helpful and responsive. There are a lot of options for how you set things up and it is so nice that chairs, tables, easels and even wreaths come with the venue. I loved that they have so many bathroom stalls for guests and the bridal/groom suites on opposite sides was nice too. The location is close to downtown, and while in between shopping malls you can't tell when you are on the property. There are even surrounding areas where you can get great outdoor photos and it looks like you are in the middle of nowhere. This venue made our wedding so special to us, and the photos with the chandeliers and lights are just gorgeous. It will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The only reason I didn't give this completely 0 stars was because we were able to get a slight price reduction due to it being an off season wedding and on a Sunday but honestly spending $4000 for an empty shell and having to do everything else all the way down to bringing your own trash cans was the worst.

They were terrible at communicating and changed the price on us several times.

They acted almost like they didn't even want our business. On the day of, our reception had to be cut short because we were not allowed to stay past 11 because we had only booked 10 hours but there was no option to purchase more hours!!! It's completely crazy! And you might think 10 hours is plenty of time but when you have to set up everything and decorate the whole place without any help from the venue, it gets pretty ridiculous.

The dressing rooms were really small too and they weren't air conditioned.

If you want a cute interior it looks great but if you don't want to be stressed out beyond belief on your wedding day because of the venue then you might want to look elsewhere.
