Michael and his team at Tapenade were fantastic! Michael was in constant communication with me prior to the big day. He was great at keeping me informed of plans, asking me questions about stuff I had never thought of, and working with my constant last minute little changes and requests. The team also provided our bar service as well as rentals. I do think you might be able to get rentals cheaper through someone else, but dealing with one less vendor made things that much easier. The food was absolutely delicious and we had tons of people comment how much they enjoyed it. They also easily accommodated a few guests with special dietary needs. A huge thank you goes out to Michael and the Tapenade team!

We had our wedding reception at Tapenade and it was amazing! Michael was so great and helpful to deal with and the food was excellent! Everyone loved the food and wine and the waiters and bartenders were amazing!

I would definitely recommend tapenade. They recently catered our August wedding and were fantastic throughout the entire process. From the moment we contacted tapenade, they treated us like a client and truly allowed us to see the possibilities. We had a cocktail reception with only hors d'oeuvres, and everything was excellent. As a gluten-free bride, tapenade was more than happy to adjust some of their menu items to accommodate my dietary needs. Not only was Tapenade helpful with the food, but they were able to rent various items (tables, chairs, dance floor etc...) for us. Throughout the reception, the caterers were helpful and attentive. They even made my groom and me plates to make sure we were able to get food. Tapenade was easy to work with, and the food was delicious. We have received many comments after the wedding indicating that the food was incredible. I highly recommend Tapenade for anyone getting married in La Jolla.

Michael is absolutely wonderful to work with. He quickly answered all of my little questions and coordinated with Classic Party Rentals for our rentals. Everyone loved the food at the wedding! The servers were professional and courteous. It is totally worth it to use a caterer like Tapenade. You definitely get what you pay for.

Michael and the staff at Tapenade were amazing!!! I just really can't say enough good things about them. All of our guests were RAVING about the food. Many people told me that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable. I felt like my husband and I had our own personal server- he was always right there with everything I needed. Michael was great throughout the whole process. He worked with me on the menu to give me everything I wanted and was more than gracious in handling every crazy request I had. He handled all the rentals through Classic Rentals and didn't charge me a service charge for that (most caterers do). I am so completely thrilled that I chose Tapenade after doing tastings with five other caterers. Go and eat at Tapenade and then imagine food that delicious being served at your reception. You won't be disappointed!!
