Daniel did a great job on our wedding video. We were looking for something tasteful and he was spot on and very easy to work with. We are very glad we invested in a wedding video, and from shopping around we felt like his rates were more than reasonable.

I originally was hesitant to have a videographer, like many others, but quickly realized that I wanted to document the wedding day in video. Searching for a videographer is really hard, especially with a limited budget! But luckily I found Daniel and I liked that he was different from the typical cheesy wedding video style. He stresses that with proper editing you can make a great video without overpowering it with special effects and loud music. On the day of the wedding, I barely even saw Daniel! He was not overbearing, in your face, making you do things, etc. He was so quiet he often went unnoticed but was always there to capture each moment (which was exactly what we were looking for). He worked really hard in the weeks after the wedding to find just the right music that fits our style and created an absolutely incredible end result! The video is so much more than I ever thought it could be! Daniel is so talented in what he does and hiring him was one of the best decisions we made! Living in California and getting married in NYC posed numerous challenges, but the videography was not one of them after we booked Sweet Pea. They answered all questions immediately, and was very attentive to all of our requests.

The day of the wedding, you didn't even notice they were there, yet they seemed to capture everything! I was not 100% convinced about getting a videographer, but it was the best decision I ever made. Our video was perfect - modern editing, great music, great recaps! They even took the photos from our photographer and made a montage to our wedding song! There are so many things in there that I wouldn't have remembered, but now do because of the video.

If you are thinking about getting a videographer, get one, and definitely go with Sweet Pea...you won't be disappointed.

He was very thorough when trying to get a feel for how I wanted the video to be. I preferred to communicate via email, and he was always very responsive.

We had our wedding (ceremony and reception) at Westbury Manor (Westbury, NY) in January and Daniel from Sweet Pea Studios was our videographer and he did a great job. After contacting him we had several email conversations (and an in person meeting) outlining the type of video work he does and what my husband and I were looking for in our video. Daniel said that he could accommodate many different styles, but we personally were looking for an elegant, documentary style video and were not interested in flashy special effects. Daniel always responded to e-mails in a very timely manner. Also, we appreciated that he offered opinions and insight in a professional and respectful way
On the day of the wedding Daniel was on time, acted professionally and was a pleasure to work with. He worked with the photographers (Duet Photography who was also excellent) and they all seemed to be able to get the shots they needed while not being invasive at all. Daniel had told us ahead of time that there were some specific shots that he would want to get which we were on board with, most of these shots were taken care of with just my husband and I – such as the two of us dancing alone in the ballroom before during cocktail hour before the reception began – and at no time did we feel like we were “taken out of the day to create a moment” – it was really much more of him just capturing what was going on. For the most part, Daniel just did his own thing in the background and we didn’t even know he was there.
After getting our professional pictures to Daniel, he quickly sent us our video. I have to say we almost didn’t get a video because we didn’t know if we could fit it into our budget but after seeing the video we are so happy that we got it. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Each chapter takes you through a different part of the day and some are more traditional (me getting ready with my mother & bridesmaids set to classical music, a montage of the entire day set to Alicia Keyes), some are more of a straight view of events (the ceremony itself) and some are definitely more artistic – which we loved (a clip of me getting my makeup done to jazz, a fast-paced run through of the formal pictures with the edges of the reel showing – which is one of my favorite parts, a montage of the dancing at the reception to a U2 song) – overall we were thrilled with how easy it was to work with Daniel and with the excellent quality and vibe of the final product. We will definitely be recommending Sweat Pea Studios in the future.

Our wedding video is AMAZING! It is truly a wonderful testament to our special day. All of the most important moments are beautifully captured and presented in a way that makes the day seem even better than it was. The quality of the editing is like something you'd see on TV or on a movie DVD. Daniel truly works with the couple and listens to their needs. He is a true professional, knows what he is doing and does it well. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I were not going to get a videographer because we had visions of a huge spotlight on us making it awkward to act and dance naturally. However, after reading several reviews on various wedding websites about videographers, who can in fact be discreet, we decided to go with Sweet Pea Studios and we are so glad that we did! Daniel at Sweet Pea was just what we were looking for -- affordable, responsive, flexible and discreet as he was filming. The day of the wedding, Daniel was extremely professional, ensured that my husband was mic’d during the ceremony and captured many memorable events from the day without us knowing he was there! Daniel worked with us post-wedding on the music and picture selection and offered many suggestions about what music would work best during certain parts of the video. When we received the final product, the layout of the DVD was great (with scene selection, etc), the sound of the entire video was clear, and we are so happy and grateful that we have a video record of our special day!
