I had the opportunity of meeting Don at Stan Mansion, we worked together during several weddings and some corporate events and I must say that he is by far, my favorite DJ of all time!
First of all, he has got the newest technology and updates + as a DJ, he has his own amazing up lights, he has an awesome mirror photo booth, and that is the also one of the best photo booths I have ever seen + he has the "dancing on clouds" machine, that creates the perfect atmosphere for the First Dance and I think he also has sparkler machines, that are great for the final send off after the wedding is over, or just a great addition for a holiday party or an intense moment. Moreover, Don has projectors and screens, so literally by booking him, you minimize the amount of your vendors, which is great!
Secondly, he is absolutely amazing at entertaining, he is up to date with the newest music and he has a great taste of older type of music from the 70s, 80s, 90s - you name it. He is able to keep the party going until late and you have people asking for more after the event is over :) That's exactly what you want from a DJ.
Thirdly, he has great personality and is very invested in the communication with his clients and the vendors, I am relieved every time I find out that I'll be working with Don!
He gives great and helpful advise, in all the situations!
Hands down, Stand and Clap is the most recommended DJ at Stan Mansion and personally my favorite DJ.

We hired stand and clap entertainment for our September 30th wedding at the Stan Mansion. Our guests raved about the DJ that we hired and wanted to know where we found the DJ at our wedding. We only gave Don about 12 must play and 18 do not play songs in advance of our wedding. From that information, he was able to play fun music all night long that fit our music tastes and the dance floor was crowded the entire night! The music was perfect for our wedding and we didn't need to pick at ton of songs that needed to be played at our wedding. I would recommend Stand And Clap Entertainment to anyone who is getting married.

We loved working with Stand And Clap for our recent wedding in Glenview. Don was wonderful to work with. He came to our apartment in the city to meet with us initially and show us his material. He was not in your face about selling his company or himself. He was truly professional and easy to deal with. He provided us with a wonderful itinerary on what he expected from us. His online database was awesome to work with in planning which songs we wanted and which songs we didn't. Two weeks before our wedding he met us at the venue to go over his set up and lighting options. He had been to this venue multiple times, but knew that it made us feel more comfortable to have him there, so he still met us out there. We were told that Don had a medical emergency and was not going to be able to DJ our wedding at the last minute. As some may freak out when told this news moments before our reception, his replacement Bill was absolutely wonderful. He could sense our concerns, but came through just as Don would have. He was a great replacement and did everything that we had previously requested to Don. What we learned from our wedding is that something always comes up, doesn't go to plan, and is out of your control. Don and his backup Bill were absolutely wonderful. We hope you are doing better Don!

Stand and Clap was recommended by a friend, who used them at her wedding (during which I danced all night)! We worked with Don and he was fantastic!! He provided DJ services and lighting for our wedding and made everything super easy. Don met with us in person (at our home), to discuss options and then we made all of our song selections online- the website is super easy to use. He played everything we requested, supplemented with really great songs and took requests/ made adjustments as needed in order to keep the dance floor full all evening! Our guests keep commenting on how much they danced, and how fun it was!

We weren’t convinced that we needed any lighting in the venue, besides what it already had, but Don visited the venue, provided a suggested lighting layout and didn’t make us decide until day of, when we saw everything together. His suggested layout and colors were spot on- it made the venue even more beautiful! I had no idea how big of a difference the lighting would make but it definitely completed everything!

Stand and Clap was just awesome- Don really made the party come alive and we wouldn’t change anything about our experience with them. We can’t recommend them highly enough!!

They say the most memorable aspect of a wedding is the entertainment, and working with Donald is a decision we would make a million times again! He is truly passionate about his work and went above and beyond for us. From coordinating our Maid of Honor slideshow, to playing a video clip of our proposal at the reception, to customizing entrance song clips for our bridal party, Donald is absolutely incredible! He helped our reception flow perfectly and was extremely professional and so much fun to work with. We would recommend him in a heartbeat! He actually played all of the songs we had requested beforehand, plus balanced guest requests during the reception and kept the dance floor PACKED all night! We've actually never seen anything like it - we just had so much fun all thanks to Donald. If you are looking for an incredible DJ who will truly make your night memorable, look no further. His prices were so reasonable and we honestly would have paid more for how valuable his services were. We truly owe him for making our wedding a night that our families and friends will remember forever!

Donald was AMAZING!!! We hired him for our wedding and he was a huge part of our day being so perfect. Making our playlist was a breeze - when he says he can get any song you want, he means it. Don was FANTASTIC in every way. He is a true professional. I honestly can't recommend him enough. From start to finish in the process he kept us informed, he answered all our questions...he was more than accommodating. He does an AWESOME job w/ uplighting (I DEFINITELY DEFINITELY DEFINITELY recommend uplighting).
Don was exactly what we wanted in a DJ...it was definitely worth saving a few thousand dollars by NOT hiring a band. Not to mention...he kept everything rolling at the reception while keeping us...the couple...front and center of the attention...NOT him. His set, his equipment....everything was top notch. Thanks Don for making our day one I will never forget!

Don Is A True Professional And It Is Evident He Has Been A Dj For Years. We Had A Few Phone Consultations And He Came To My House So We Could Pick Out The Music. He Brought Speakers So We Could Listen To All The Music And Worked With Us So We Could Have All The Music Incorporated We Wanted. Unfortunately He Was Unable To Attend The Day Of Due To An Injury. I Was A Little Nervous At First, But His Coworker Did An Excellent Job. He Got Every Single Cue Perfectly.

I only have positive things to say about DJ Don. He is the only DJ we met with during our planning stages who actually sat down and listened to songs with us, gave us suggestions, and told me that he could fulfill my unique ceremony song request. Everything turned our spectacular at the ceremony, I was standing in the back waiting for my entrance song with a GIANT smile on my face and just kept telling my dad how perfectly everything was timed and how excited I was.
Unfortunately one of his assistants got in a car accident inbetween our ceremony and reception, so when we arrived at the reception hall I was informed that he had sent us a replacement. I was a little sad that the replacement wasn’t sent to cover for the man who got in the accident since Don was contracted to us, but I’m sure there was a reason he had to leave and regardless, it all worked out. We got a TON of compliments about music selection during the reception and our dance floor was always full.
