As a non-Catholic, marrying a Catholic at a Catholic church, I was decidedly nervous. Father Mulcahy took away any concerns I had at any time. Our pre-marital counselling was spectacular and he got to know us well enough that our ceremony was really personalized and special. He's got a sense of humor and handled a stray flowergirl's climb up the altar stairs during the homily with grace and a chuckle. The organist was spectacular as well, I couldn't have asked for more.

The church is beautiful and they put up their Christmas decorations a week earlier than planned just for us, which made it downright perfect. It was so pretty that we didn't even get church flowers, just pew bows and of course bouquets etc.

They say a lot fewer couples are opting for church weddings these days. I am 100% glad we did. It couldn't have been one bit more perfect.
