Samie and Something Perfect are behind the success of great weddings. Sammie's experience and expertise guided us through the planning, cancellation (Covid) and re-planning. Every event was perfect, but only because we had Samie behind the scenes attending to every detail. Always with a smile on her face, she truly took on anything and everything to ensure that everyone had an amazing experience. I highly recommend her and her team.

Throughout the pandemic, my husband and I had to make several changes as you can imagine. We change our wedding date 2 times. We also had to move venues 2 months before the big day. And that's just a few of the changes...Without the help of the team at Something Perfect, I don't know what we would have done. Samie talked to me on the phone as I cried when I had to change my date. Her kindness helped me through one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make. Then, her team helped me pull off a last minute venue change and made our day run so beautifully. We had tons of moving parts and we even had to move indoors due to rain, but they made me feel right at ease. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I am an organized bride and I always thought I'd save money by not needing a wedding planner, but boy was I wrong. I needed them so much and I couldn't imagine my day without them. I will forever be grateful of their services and I cannot recommend them enough. 5 stars are not enough!!

The ladies at something perfect are absolute gems! They stood by my side with calm demeanors and helped me replan my wedding twice due to Covid. Ultimately we had to move our reception from our original venue to our backyard and Samie and Katherine were there to help think through all the new details. Yes, a pandemic throws a different complication in there but they were also extraordinary when a vendor didn’t deliver as expected and every bride/groom needs a team on their side to make sure the wedding day is executed flawlessly. This should be one of the first things you factor into your budget!

Planning a wedding is always stressful, but my wife and I had a global pandemic to add to that stress! Thankfully we had Samie to help us every step along the way.

We unfortunately had to change the date of our wedding once, and change the venue three times. One of those venue changes came six days before the wedding! But, Samie found a way to not just make it work for us, but to greatly exceed our expectations.

For all of the bad luck that we experienced in the days leading up to our wedding, the day of couldn't have gone any better. The space was completely transformed from a rooftop bar into an elegant wedding venue. Samie worked with the onsite staff to remove anything from the room that wasn't bolted down, and bring in beautiful tables and linens. Everything from the menus to the place cards to the various signs we gave her were perfectly placed and positioned. We didn't have to worry about a thing the day of.

We know that it could not have been easy for Samie either to help us re-plan our wedding multiple times this summer, and we really appreciate her working through this with us. We know if she could plan our wedding four times with a venue change six days out, she can definitely plan yours once :)

My fiance and I were new to Charlotte when we started wedding planning, and we didn't know many people in the area when we moved, so I was pretty immediately overwhelmed with all of our vendor and venue options. I decided to meet with Samie at Something Perfect to learn more about how they could help and I immediately knew I was in good hands. She welcomed me with a glass of champagne and a friendly smile, and worked with me to develop a custom package that worked within my budget. Lauren Gomez was assigned as my planner and truly become my wedding hero over the many months we worked together. Lauren did an amazing job presenting me with a multitude of venue and vendor options throughout the planning process. She also helped coordinate meetings for me, handled all of the logistics, and honestly kept me sane! She was always available to me when I needed her and never fed into my emotions when I started to feel overwhelmed. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect in every way and I give most of the credit to Lauren and her super planning powers! She kept me unaware of any issues that arose on wedding day and handled them like a pro. I swear she even held back the forecasted rain showers! Lauren has even helped me after our wedding in suggesting a wedding dress cleaner and giving me instructions on how to change my last name. If you are looking for a wedding planner in Charlotte, I cannot recommend Lauren and Something Perfect highly enough!!! I do not know what my wedding would have been without their help and expertise. They have great relationships with all of the major players in Charlotte and are constant professionals through every interaction. I trusted them implicitly to have my back throughout the entire process and I recommend you do the same!

I was the officiant for a wedding which Something Perfect assisted in the final weeks before the big day. Katherine and her team were amazing. Every detail was taken care of to the bride's specifications and the organization and timeline were seamless.

Hiring Something Perfect was one of the best decisions I made when preparing for my wedding. I am very Type A and my friends and family were surprised to hear that I wanted to hand over responsibilities on my wedding day. That's a true testament to how reassured Ashley, Samie, and the Something Perfect team made me feel during my first meeting with them. Having someone to bounce ideas and logistics off of is so valuable and Ashley was great at handling my (sometimes frequent) questions. If you're hesitating, don't! I showed up on my wedding day with everything already taken care of. I was able to relax and truly take in the day, which is what Something Perfect promised throughout the whole planning process. Simply put, they are the best!

This team was OUTSTANDING. We immediately were blown away by their attention to detail and the amount of information they absorbed so quickly during the planning process. They were not afraid to be honest with us and guide us towards choices that would be right for our day. On the wedding day, they were on the nose for timing, setting up and organization. Another plus - they remained calm and discrete for any curveballs. We even got feedback from our guests that they were extremely helpful! I would book Something Perfect ten times over and I hope many couples get to experience their magic.

We worked with Samie from the very beginning of the planning process and it was one of the best decisions we made. Samie took the time to get to know us, guide us through our budget, and select vendors that made the most sense. Her process for deciding how to spend our budget was great since it ensured that we spent money in areas that meant the most to us. When we were selecting vendors, Samie always presented a quality selection, including many she had worked with before, at different price points near the budget. If we had to do that research ourselves, we definitely wouldn't have ended up with so many great folks around us on our day. Lastly, Samie was absolutely in control on the big day. She kept an extremely detailed schedule that included us taking time as a couple after the ceremony and before the reception. Those moments are some of our favorites from the whole weekend, and we wouldn't have set aside that time if Samie hadn't insisted. I truly can't recommend Something Perfect enough!

I am sooooo glad we decided to hire a wedding planner... more specifically, Something Perfect! My husband and I were new to the city and extremely busy, with no clue how to start planning something this meaningful and detailed. I found Something Perfect while searching online and loved reading all of their positive reviews. We met with Samie at their office and she was so sweet and patient with us. We ended up working with Lauren, who is amazing! She helped us create a detailed budget and timeline, checked in on us monthly, and was KEY to making our special day flow. As a busy grad student, she was also very flexible and understanding with my schedule. Even with obstacles (rain, last minute added vendors, an insane amount of decor, etc.), she executed everything flawlessly and I never stressed. I highly recommend this team. They truly want to make your special day something perfect! :)
