Soaring Eagle Lodge and its staff are amazing! We had our wedding reception at Soaring Eagle. It was an indoor/outdoor event, with cocktail hour & dancing inside the Hearth Room & dinner on the patio under tents. The Hearth Room itself is stunning, as are the views from Soaring Eagle. It’s the perfect location if you’re dreaming of a mountain top wedding. We had about 180 guests attend our wedding and felt like there was plenty of space. The lodge was also the base for our entire wedding weekend. Our guests who stayed at Soaring Eagle thoroughly enjoyed their rooms, which were all spacious, comfortable, and clean.
Erica, the concierge at Soaring Eagle, was fantastic to work with. She was great at dealing with all of the personalities involved in the wedding planning process and helped a great deal with recommendations for vendors. She also helped us understand the different entities at Snowshoe and who to contact for certain questions. And she put together a fantastic phone list for all the guests! She really helped us get organized. We could not have done it without her!
As required with any wedding held at Soaring Eagle Lodge, we used Bill Treadway and his team at South Mountain Grille for catering. Even if this were not required they would have been my first choice. The food was delicious. Because they are not a traditional catering company we were able to completely customize the menu. We didn’t get the menu finalized until a few weeks before the wedding so we did not have time for a tasting. However, it all worked out perfectly! We also used Bill and his team at Alpine Ristorante and the Line Shack for our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party. He did a fantastic job with this as well. Lastly, Bill and his team also put together a Bride’s Breakfast for us the day of the wedding and a Sunday Brunch for all guests to end the weekend. The food was really phenomenal throughout the entire weekend, and the staff was incredible!
