I'm in love with The Greenbrier, and we couldn't have had a more incredible wedding! The thing that sets The Greenbrier apart from other venues is that it's really a one-stop shop for everything: ceremony spaces (we chose the Chapel), SO many reception options (we chose the Cameo Ballroom), food and drink (the chefs are amazing), cake (if you can imagine it, pastry chef Devin can create it), flowers and event design (Gillespie's Flowers & Production is on-site), paper products (they did menus, escort cards, and programs), hair/makeup/nails (the salon is on-site), entertainment (they recommended and handled all the arrangements for a ceremony harpist, cocktail pianist, and a band/DJ combo for the reception), tux rental (the Ralph Lauren store on-site will even make alterations, and it's not any more expensive than a Men's Wearhouse), and most importantly, the WEDDING TEAM (no need for an outside planner). Maren and Whitney thought of and took care of EVERY DETAIL, and they made the planning process so stress-free. From the beginning, I explained our overall wedding budget to Maren, and within a day she emailed me a detailed spreadsheet showing how we could have a gorgeous Greenbrier wedding within our budget. I had two in-person planning meetings, and the rest was through email and phone calls. Maren and Whitney have great taste, so they would propose ideas about details I had no opinion on, and they were also great at listening to my preferences on the details I cared about. They do a lot of weddings, but I never felt like I was boxed in to what everyone else does; they were excited make it personalized to us! My husband was really impressed at how we were treated when we arrived: champagne, desserts, and other goodies in our room, a couples massage, pre-arranged dining reservations, etc. Our guests were also impressed with how nice everyone is. Finally, it's a great value--not cheap, but we definitely felt like we got more than we paid for.

I loved planning my wedding with the Greenbrier wedding team. They always put my opinions and wants first, and really listened to the vision I had for my wedding. We had an outdoor reception on the golf course at the hotel, and there was a chance of thunderstorms the day of the wedding. The wedding team showed me alternative venues, but ultimately left the choice up to me if I wanted to chance the outdoor venue. I really wanted an outdoor garden party feel for our afternoon reception so I left the reception outside. The weather was absolutely perfect, right up until we were set to make our grand exit. The sky opened and it down poured. The wedding team was right there with umbrellas for us and our guests. They anticipated the storm, and moved up the transportation for our guests back to the hotel while remaining calm and reassuring. I would highly recommend Maren and her wedding team for anyone. Not only is the Greenbrier one of the most beautiful venues, you will not have to worry about anything falling through the cracks. The wedding team will ensure everything is taken care of down to the very last detail.
