The Schoolhouse Hotel is a wedding venue located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Previously a historic high school, this establishment is now the city’s first full-service boutique hotel. The owners of the property aim to offer local and out-of-town couples alike a community hub to celebrate their milestone moments. Facilities and Capacity
The Schoolhouse Hotel offers a variety of event spaces couples can celebrate their special occasions. Memorabilia from the high school’s history line the venue’s walls, creating a charming ambience for any occasion. Able to comfortably fit up to 300 loved ones, the Ballroom is the hotel’s main event space. The expansive interior can be decorated and adjusted to align with your wedding vision. Formerly the school’s gymnasium, it’s ideal for ceremonies, receptions, and anything in between. For an intimate ceremony setting with up to 85 guests, the adjacent Emmanuel Methodist Church is only footsteps away. After exchanging vows, you can dine and dance with your nearest and dearest in the main restaurant. For receptions with up to 65 people, the Rooftop Bar showcases views of White Sulphur Springs. If you’ve been dreaming of an open-air celebration, you are welcome to host your day on the Front Lawn. Here, you can host a memorable event with the school’s facade as your backdrop. After the last dance of the night, you and your guests are welcome to rest in any of the hotel’s 30 uniquely decorated rooms.

Marsha Rae Fernandez, a White Sulphur Springs native, has 20-plus years of meeting and event planning experience in a variety of luxury and boutique properties throughout the country. A member of Meeting Planners International since 2002, Marsha has a deep connection to the hospitality industry and holds the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation.
“I feel like I was born into the hospitality industry. I am part of the third generation.” she says. “In fact, I’ve only one sibling that’s not in the industry.”
Marsha states she is excited to launch her new career as the Sales and Events Manager here at The Schoolhouse Hotel and looks forward to hosting corporate, social, and wedding events already scheduled for the upcoming year.

From the pre-event communications to the on-site experience to the follow-up interactions, our events are designed with an elegant, consistent look and feel that supports expectations.
