We had our absolute dream wedding come true earlier this month at the Corduroy Inn& Lodge in Snowshoe, WV. We wanted a winter ski wedding and that is exactly what we got. We were offered several ceremony venues through the Corduroy and we went with the St. Bernard Chapel at the top of the mountain. The chapel had a personal feel that we were instantly attached to. We cannot say enough about the exceptional team at the Corduroy. The staff was professional yet felt like family instantly. The staff at Appalachian Kitchen, including Chef Scott, were wonder and polite. They accommodated every curve ball we threw at them and still did an outstanding job. The food was all locally raised and grown, truly delicious. Our cake and cupcakes were done by These Cakes by Monica and they were out of this world. The cake was beautiful and the arrangement and presentation of the cupcakes was wonderful. We were savoring every bite! The Tuque’s staff welcomed us with warm smiles every time we came barreling through the door for a meeting place, an after party or just a bite to eat and a drink. The rooms at the Corduroy were exceptional. Cleaned every day, spacious, with several different room configuration options. Trevor who was working the front desk went above and beyond to help all of our guests feel welcomed and comfortable all weekend. Bringing it all together, our wedding coordinator, Jim Ed. He could not have made our experience better. He facilitated ease of communication and fulfilled every request we had. On wedding day he kept the timing of everything perfect. Our biggest request was to ski down the mountain in our wedding attire and Jim Ed made sure this happened. He jumped through so many hoops to help us have a true winter ski wedding weekend. His behind the scenes work and calm demeanor made our day and weekend flawless. By the end of our wedding weekend we were sad to leave him! We cannot forget our photographer Chris Jackson who perfectly captured our wedding weekend. He got our dream shots as we skied down the mountain together! We would absolutely choose the Corduroy again just simply for the genuine and personal feel the place and the staff gave us. 

From the bottom of our hearts, we could not have chosen a more perfect place- or a more incredible team- to celebrate our wedding. Every moment of our day was handled with such care, professionalism, and genuine kindness, allowing us to be fully present and soak in every second. Jim Ed was truly exceptional as our day -of coordinator. His calm presence, attention to detail, and seamless execution gave us complete peace of mind and made our day feel effortless. The weekend could not have happened with London and Dan, both gentlemen who were friendly, efficient, and kept the celebration going all weekend, making sure every detail was perfect. Our decorator brought our vision to life in the most beautiful way- every detail felt intentional, personal, and absolutely stunning.
The chef made our tasting such a fun and memorable experience, and the wedding dinner itself exceeded all expectations. Our assortment of cupcakes made by These Cakes by Monica were absolutely delicious. They were beautifully presented and tasted just as amazing as they looked. Our guests are still raving about how wonderful the food was. Trevor at the front desk went above and beyond to help and accommodate our guests throughout the weekend, making everyone feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrived.
This venue is not just beautiful - it is filled with people who genuinely care and who pour their hearts into what they do. We will forever be grateful for the memories and cannot recommend this venue enough to any couple looking for a truly unforgettable wedding experience.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our wedding experience at the Corduroy Inn. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. Perfect ski wedding!! I could not have had a better experience. Ceremony out on the porch with a snowy backdrop, skiing with the guests, upscale reception with a gorgeous sunset backdrop, and an excellent dance floor afterwards. Jim Ed is friendly, funny, easy to work with, and most importantly he can GET IT DONE. He was the perfect coordinator and officiant. I was extremely busy with work while wedding planning and he helped me every step of the way. All of my guests (and even my DJ) said it was the best wedding they’ve been to! And the food was dream-worthy. Every dish got excellent reviews from the guests. For what we experienced, the cost was very reasonable. I cannot express how satisfied I am with the service of him and his staff.

Rooms: Very clean and well kept. The ones that have porches are amazing views!

Nearby Activities: Right at the top of a ski lift! Easy to ski out onto the trail and end the day without the need for a shuttle or long walk. The ski lift is on the side of the mountain so there’s no morning business. The hotel is part of a small village with pizza, an awesome bar for welcome and after parties, and an upscale restaurant for the rehearsal dinner!

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying the absolute wedding of our dreams with the Corduroy Inn and Lodge in October 2024 on an absolutely perfect fall day. We worked with Jim Ed and his team throughout our two-year engagement to ensure that every last detail was perfect. I am the first to say that, as a self-proclaimed super planner, I am legitimately hard to impress, and Corduroy pulled off impressing even me. We were blown away by how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the day went. People always say that things will go wrong on your wedding day, but that didn't happen at ours. It was perfect. If you are looking for a stunning location to say "I do" in the mountains in the heart of West Virginia, look no further - You have found your match made in Almost Heaven. I genuinely miss working with Jim Ed. I'm going to have to come up with some good excuses to come back and visit so we can reminisce on the best day of my entire life! My husband and I adore the memories we have made at Snowshoe, which is why he decided to make it the location of his proposal for marriage in February 2022. It was so perfectly imperfect, just like our wedding in March of 2024. The weather wasn’t ideal, but the team at Corduroy Inn and Lodge made the most of every moment and did everything in their power to make our wedding dreams come true.

If you are considering getting married at Snowshoe, you must consider Corduroy Inn and Lodge! After a little research and a few emails/visits with other options on the mountain, we realized that, no question, the team at Corduroy Inn and Lodge was one in a million! Jim Ed Roush and Chef Scott really made our dreams come true. The food at each event was fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated! Chef Scott made the menus reflect our preferences while using locally sourced ingredients. The customer service was impeccable from check-in to check-out. We are so thankful for the kindness and hospitality of all staff! I truly think all guests enjoyed their stay. (I have yet to this day to hear of any complaints.) Also, we highly recommend vendors on their preferred list. Everyone worked well together and made our wedding day enjoyable and fun. We felt very little stress and could not be more grateful. Thank you to everyone at Corduroy Inn and Lodge for your hard work and excellent customer service!

There are not enough words to express how amazing it was to work with Jim Ed and the Corduroy team. The entire process start to finish was phenomenal and smooth. Our family and friends all work or have worked in the service industry so we all know it is not easy to make an event flow smoothly with no snags or issues- but somehow it did! We were blown away. Jim Ed is reason enough to book because this man is a complete professional and is so dang fun! The food is to die for and the views are out of this world. james and his team were amazing. the communication was easy going and he just understands what you need. you dont have to worry about anything - not even the ceremony- he was perfect for that too. He loves love and makes sure everything is special for everyone. the venue is amazing and you can use the skii lifts for nice pics too! the 4th floor has the most amazing sunset ive ever seen!
the food was just perfect, all the guests were very content with it too!
the team has a shuttle too and they can take you and your guests to the church and everything becomes stress free!
they have a list of vendors that you can hire for your special day and i definitely recommend all of them! they selected the best of the best already!

The Corduroy Inn & Lodge was the perfect wedding venue. The ceremony was ideal for our large wedding and the reception space contains a wrap around balcony for guests to enjoy the most beautiful sunset. It felt like the sun was setting for hours. This also made for the most incredible wedding photos.

The staff was fantastic and catered to all of our needs. The food was delicious 10/10 - we have had so many people tell us this in the months after the wedding. Everything went perfectly as planned thanks to the wedding coordinator. We didn't have a worry in the world the day of the wedding, it was pure fun and memories!

The reception ballroom was also great in accommodating our large guest list. There was plenty of space for everyone and also for different activity areas (cake cutting, dining, food lines, bar, etc.)

The rooms at the Corduroy are also incredibly nice. They are on par with any 5 star resort you can think of. The ballroom is also easily accessible for all guests staying on or off-site. The venue location is a quick walk to the village for guests who can also take advantage of the beautiful mountain views during the days leading to, day of, or days following the wedding. This allows for the ideal destination wedding.

We wouldn't trade our wedding experience for anything and we owe it to the staff of the Corduroy Inn & Lodge. We cannot recommend this venue enough.

The best venue you could book. Received compliments from guests all night long! Constantly was being asked how we found such an amazing place. Staff members were unmatched. Jim Ed had everything down to the minute! Never had to worry about anything being less than perfect as the bride. Highly highly recommend!!
