My husband and I adore the memories we have made at Snowshoe, which is why he decided to make it the location of his proposal for marriage in February 2022. It was so perfectly imperfect, just like our wedding in March of 2024. The weather wasn’t ideal, but the team at Corduroy Inn and Lodge made the most of every moment and did everything in their power to make our wedding dreams come true.
If you are considering getting married at Snowshoe, you must consider Corduroy Inn and Lodge! After a little research and a few emails/visits with other options on the mountain, we realized that, no question, the team at Corduroy Inn and Lodge was one in a million! Jim Ed Roush and Chef Scott really made our dreams come true. The food at each event was fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated! Chef Scott made the menus reflect our preferences while using locally sourced ingredients. The customer service was impeccable from check-in to check-out. We are so thankful for the kindness and hospitality of all staff! I truly think all guests enjoyed their stay. (I have yet to this day to hear of any complaints.) Also, we highly recommend vendors on their preferred list. Everyone worked well together and made our wedding day enjoyable and fun. We felt very little stress and could not be more grateful. Thank you to everyone at Corduroy Inn and Lodge for your hard work and excellent customer service!

The best venue you could book. Received compliments from guests all night long! Constantly was being asked how we found such an amazing place. Staff members were unmatched. Jim Ed had everything down to the minute! Never had to worry about anything being less than perfect as the bride. Highly highly recommend!! -

We could not have imagined a better experience than we had at Corduroy. Jim Ed was an incredible day-of-coordinator, taking care of all the details we couldn’t possibly keep top of mind throughout the day. Anytime we had a request - generally small/trivial things - he took care of it immediately and ensured that we not worry about it. His responsiveness in the several months leading up to the event was second to none. He consistently assisted in answering questions and/or otherwise helping out with a steady stream of planning requests about the venue throughout that time. No request ever felt off-limits, even if it was the first time they heard such a request. When I asked for a platform for the balcony for speeches the week before the wedding, he had one built within 24 hours. The event’s flow was nearly flawless, with guests providing a lot of positive feedback about implementation details and planning being excellent from the guest perspective. The food quality was excellent; we got tons of positive feedback from guests both regarding entrees and apps. The variety room type offerings as well as the food and venue offerings at the three on-property restaurants is wonderful. Every single staff member at the venue was kind, thoughtful, and went out of their way to meet guest needs. From Matt and Sonya at the front desk answering first-time guest questions to Katelyn at the bar making connections with our guests and bringing the fun to Chef Scott being willing to make anything we wanted for our after party, I cannot say enough positive things about the people who make up Corduroy. And the view… we were lucky enough to have an insanely clear day with a million-dollar sunset view on the balcony. We decided to do half our speeches on the mountain view balcony after cocktail hour to really take advantage of the view (highly recommend both logistically and for the view). I know I’ve mentioned the guest experience above but want to really hammer home the degree to which the staff went out of their way to provide a guest experience that surpassed their expectations and made their weekend memorable, personal, and special. -

Wonderful, Versatile Venue!
Can’t say enough good things. The flexibility to move the ceremony indoors off the terrace at the last minute due to classic Snowshoe weather was key. And then, as the weather cleared in equally classic Snowshoe fashion, we were able to open up all the doors and have an indoor/outdoor venue! Jim Ed and team were fantastic, food was amazing, drink selection was awesome, and everyone had a wonderful time! -

Perfect ski wedding!! I could not have had a better experience. Ceremony out on the porch with a snowy backdrop, skiing with the guests, upscale reception with a gorgeous sunset backdrop, and an excellent dance floor afterwards. Jim Ed is friendly, funny, easy to work with, and most importantly he can GET IT DONE. He was the perfect coordinator and officiant. I was extremely busy with work while wedding planning and he helped me every step of the way. All of my guests (and even my DJ) said it was the best wedding they’ve been to! And the food was dream-worthy. Every dish got excellent reviews from the guests. For what we experienced, the cost was very reasonable. I cannot express how satisfied I am with the service of him and his staff.
Rooms: Very clean and well kept. The ones that have porches are amazing views!
Nearby Activities: Right at the top of a ski lift! Easy to ski out onto the trail and end the day without the need for a shuttle or long walk. The ski lift is on the side of the mountain so there’s no morning business. The hotel is part of a small village with pizza, an awesome bar for welcome and after parties, and an upscale restaurant for the rehearsal dinner!

10/10 Summer Wedding at the Corduroy Inn and Lodge (Snowshoe, WV)
The Corduroy Inn & Lodge was the perfect wedding venue. The ceremony was ideal for our large wedding and the reception space contains a wrap around balcony for guests to enjoy the most beautiful sunset. It felt like the sun was setting for hours. This also made for the most incredible wedding photos.
The staff was fantastic and catered to all of our needs. The food was delicious 10/10 - we have had so many people tell us this in the months after the wedding. Everything went perfectly as planned thanks to the wedding coordinator. We didn't have a worry in the world the day of the wedding, it was pure fun and memories!
The reception ballroom was also great in accommodating our large guest list. There was plenty of space for everyone and also for different activity areas (cake cutting, dining, food lines, bar, etc.)
The rooms at the Corduroy are also incredibly nice. They are on par with any 5 star resort you can think of. The ballroom is also easily accessible for all guests staying on or off-site. The venue location is a quick walk to the village for guests who can also take advantage of the beautiful mountain views during the days leading to, day of, or days following the wedding. This allows for the ideal destination wedding.
We wouldn't trade our wedding experience for anything and we owe it to the staff of the Corduroy Inn & Lodge. We cannot recommend this venue enough. -

If you are looking for a place that has the best wedding planner, best staff, and best views this is your place. Jim is incredible, his staff are amazing, and they have you covered. Every little detail is taken care of, you literally do not have to worry about one thing. I cannot recommend them enough! -

james and his team were amazing. the communication was easy going and he just understands what you need. you dont have to worry about anything - not even the ceremony- he was perfect for that too. He loves love and makes sure everything is special for everyone. the venue is amazing and you can use the skii lifts for nice pics too! the 4th floor has the most amazing sunset ive ever seen!
the food was just perfect, all the guests were very content with it too!
the team has a shuttle too and they can take you and your guests to the church and everything becomes stress free!
they have a list of vendors that you can hire for your special day and i definitely recommend all of them! they selected the best of the best already! -

Perfect Wedding Venue!
When my now-husband and I saw pictures of the stunning mountain view and beautiful ballroom we knew that this was where we wanted to get married. As soon as we met Jim Ed Roush, we knew wholeheartedly that we wanted him to coordinate our wedding. Jim Ed and his staff do an excellent job making sure everything is perfect, down to the last detail. The ballroom is lovely, and the staff’s efficiency at flipping the room from the wedding venue, in front of gorgeous mountain views, to a beautiful reception set up is amazing. The food was delicious, the rooms are quite comfortable. We absolutely loved having a destination wedding with our dearest friends and family all staying in the same place over the weekend. In addition, the hotel includes fun passes for your guests to explore Snowshoe Mountain! We had so many comments from our guests that this was one of the nicest weddings they had ever been to, everything flowed so smoothly. By the time the wedding was over Jim Ed felt more like a close friend than a wedding coordinator, we loved the whole wedding experience at the Corduroy Inn and Lodge, and highly recommend this venue!! -

There are not enough words to express how amazing it was to work with Jim Ed and the Corduroy team. The entire process start to finish was phenomenal and smooth. Our family and friends all work or have worked in the service industry so we all know it is not easy to make an event flow smoothly with no snags or issues- but somehow it did! We were blown away. Jim Ed is reason enough to book because this man is a complete professional and is so dang fun! The food is to die for and the views are out of this world. If you have this venue on your list - STOP HESITATING! Reach out to Jim Ed and BOOK IT! You will not regret choosing this venue. -

To say this venue is amazing is an understatement. Both my husband and I are from north central West Virginia and couldn’t find anything we loved where we are from or where we are currently living. My now husband suggested Snowshoe, and we stumbled on a brand new venue that wasn’t even open yet. We didn’t realize we were stumbling on the best decision we could have made. From the views to the staff to the food, everything was perfect. The views are breathtaking. The balcony and folding doors allow you to feel like you are able to flow throughout the venue with ease. It truly allows you to feel like you are having an outdoor wedding without being outdoors (or keep it indoors if that is what you wish). The clean decor of the room allows you to make it your own with ease. Chef Ed may be one of the most talented chefs in West Virginia especially when feeding 200 people. All of the food for the rehearsal, the day of the wedding, and the brunch the next day was absolutely spectacular. Even the late night pizza was amazing (highly recommend late night snacks!!). The staff at the corduroy are seriously top notch. They made sure everything was perfect for everyone. Every detail was looked at three or four times, and they did not hesitate to help is with whatever we needed. Their coordinators, Jim Ed and Lydia, made sure we were taken care of the entire time. They are upbeat and caring and always down for a laugh in the middle of a busy wedding day. They take charge when needed. Most of our guests complimented how amazing entire staff was all weekend. Honestly, I’m tearing up writing this because of how attentive they were to us. They worked so well with our wedding planner, Isabella Leon, to make our day everything we wanted. We had some off the wall ideas that they were happy to go along with, and we were so grateful for that considering a lot of venues hesitate to go off the standard. We have heard absolute rave reviews from all of our guests. From the accommodations at the hotel to the wedding itself, everything review from our guests were 5 out of 5 stars. Even a week later, people are still complimenting the wedding, venue and especially, the food. If you are from WV, this is probably one of the best wedding venues to show your guests how beautiful our state is. If you are not from WV, please come and enjoy all West Virginia has to offer. If we could give The Corduroy Inn more than 5 stars, we would. I could go on and on with everything they did for us in a three day span and everything they did before the wedding weekend, but I don’t think the review will let me write that much. Thank you again Corduroy! You made our wedding weekend perfect! -

When you decide to start the planning process of a wedding, one of the biggest things you look to do is stay STRESS-FREE! Well, Corduroy Inn & Lodge is the place you need to go! The second I walked on the property, I knew this was the place for me!
As a type A person/bride, I never had to worry that whatever question or request arose would be handled immediately and never to be thought of again. Jim Ed, alone, plus the addition of the staff, makes this place beyond outstanding. I do not even have to mention The facilities or the BREATHTAKING views to sell someone here.
On top of everything, the comfort of knowing you can host all of your events and most of your guests (in my case) on-site makes it even more attractive. Hands down the best venue I have ever been to as a guest, let alone planning an event! Five stars is not enough for this place! -

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying the absolute wedding of our dreams with the Corduroy Inn and Lodge in October 2024 on an absolutely perfect fall day. We worked with Jim Ed and his team throughout our two-year engagement to ensure that every last detail was perfect. I gave Jim Ed and his team quite the task as I envisioned an over-the-top "more is more" wedding that exuded the feel of a luxe mountain getaway and a glamorous vibe with natural touches that paid respect to the beautiful forest location.
Jim Ed is a legitimate STAR in the wedding industry. He is always on top of everything going on at the property and will keep track of all of the details with you. As soon as we met Jim Ed in early October 2022, we knew that he was just the person for us. You can immediately pick up on his extensive expertise. His bubbly personality is such a breath of fresh air, and you will be challenged to not laugh uncontrollably with him. His sense of humor is phenomenal. Jim Ed will keep your spirits up and your enthusiasm high, and he can also empathize with you during challenging moments. His genuine care for his couples shines through. It is obvious that for him, this is not just a job; he is with you all the way to wedding day to ensure that you truly get your dream experience. Jim Ed is a fiercely loyal advocate for his couples, and it is a wonderful thing to know, without a doubt, that you are not just a number, not just a catering order - You are people who matter. Jim Ed and the Corduroy team want to see you have the best day of your life, and they will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you desire. Have family members getting out of line? I am the first to say that, as a self-proclaimed super planner, I am legitimately hard to impress, and Corduroy pulled off impressing even me. We were blown away by how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the day went. People always say that things will go wrong on your wedding day, but that didn't happen at ours. It was perfect. If you are looking for a stunning location to say "I do" in the mountains in the heart of West Virginia, look no further - You have found your match made in Almost Heaven. I genuinely miss working with Jim Ed. I'm going to have to come up with some good excuses to come back and visit so we can reminisce on the best day of my entire life! We cannot say enough wonderful things about our wedding experience at the Corduroy Inn. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The venue itself is stunning—nestled on top of the mountains, it offers breathtaking views, elegant yet cozy spaces, and a unique charm that made our day feel truly special and intimate.
A huge part of what made our day so exceptional was Jim Ed, the event coordinator. He was absolutely phenomenal—organized, responsive, calming, and always two steps ahead. Jim Ed truly cared about every detail and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. His experience and professionalism gave us complete peace of mind, and we honestly can’t imagine our wedding day without him.
The rest of the staff were also fantastic—attentive, friendly, and completely on top of everything. Our guests are still raving about the atmosphere, the food, and how smooth and beautiful the entire event was. The convenience of having everything in one place—ceremony, reception, and lodging—made the whole weekend stress-free and enjoyable for everyone.
