Great to work with!
Linda was so understanding of everything a bride needs with her dress. I even took my groom's suit to her, and she did a good job with that also and told us she was up to date on all the latest trends, as well as able to do a more classic fit like we wanted.

As I didn't have time to order a new dress, I had to go off the rack which meant lots of alterations. I found a beautiful Maggie dress but it was 2 sizes too big. The bridal shop wanted over $450 to do the alterations (hemming, bustle, waist taken in, etc) so I decided to try to find someone on my own. I google searched and found Snips by Linda up near my work. I was very nervous taking my beautiful dress to someone I didn't know but as soon as I met Linda, I knew my dress was in good hands. Her pricing was 1/2 of what the shop wanted and she did it in half the time. The bridal shop wanted 8-12 weeks. Linda did it in 4 weeks total and that included 2-3 rounds of fittings. She specailizes in bridal alterations and does absolutely beautiful work. My dress fit like it was made for me.

Wedding Dress Alterations
Linda did a beautiful job on my wedding gown, which needed some shortening in the shoulders and skirt, and tightening in the bust. I was nervous at first because my dress is a full length lace gown with some beading. I am new to the area and didn't have a seamstress, so I did some looking around and found Linda. She did a great job on my dress. In retrospect the only thing I would have changed would be shortening the skirt just a smidge more, which she offered to do but I decided not to, because I was stepping on the back a little bit when dancing. Other than that, it was a perfect fit. I will definitely use Linda in the future, and highly recommend her. She is well priced and has been sowing for years, which you can definitely see in her work.

Steam Burns
I went with Linda for my wedding dress alterations because of her online reputation and seeing her at a local wedding expo. The shop is in her house, which I felt maybe was not quite the right environment for delicate white fabrics. Linda was friendly and accomodating and I ultimately felt pretty good about the alterations to hem my dress. However, my dress was not steamed or pressed prior to my fitting and ultimate purchase of the service. This meant I had to steam my own wedding dress to remove the wrinkles. I could be mistaken, but I was under the impression that part of the alteration fee would also include making the dress wedding-day ready. The last thing I wanted to do prior to my wedding was steam press my dress. It was horrible, I burned my left hand and ring finger from the steam, as well as suffering water droplet burns on my legs which very likely will end up turning into scars. I also question how concise of a job my hemming was if the dress was still wrinkled and the edges were not completely even. Ultimately, I was able to complete my dress so it was presentable and not have steam burns ruin my wedding day, but this experience has left a lasting impression on me.
