Simply Delicious Cakes by Whit is an absolute hidden gem within the wedding cake world. When we first met Whit, it was at a Dennis Vineyards bridal show where she had put together a marvelous display of her absolutely delicious mini cupcakes. We didn’t find her at any other bridal shows we attended so we were blessed to have found Whitney when we did. The cupcakes and cakes that Whitney crafts are simply marvelous to behold and a wondrous treat for the palate. As a reference, my husband and I tried close to over a dozen other cake vendors. While these vendors may have had “pretty” cakes, they certainly were not as delicious as Whitney’s. Her cakes are moist, sweet, and full-bodied in flavor. You could not possibly go wrong by choosing Whitney to create your wedding cake. She has a variety of cake flavors from the normal vanilla to the decadent that she will create for you. She is even willing to experiment with your ideas and try to bring them to life in both flavor and design. We had a superhero themed wedding, and Whitney took time to ask for reference pictures. She was able to get the superhero symbols as close as she could to the same we were using for the necklaces and cufflinks for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. She came to our venue at the time requested with plenty of time to assemble the cake herself. Whitney is very easy to work with, responsive to communications and an absolute great value for your money. We will certainly be purchasing cakes and cupcakes from her in the future. We wanted to share with you, the reader of this review, that we had many of our wedding guests come up to us towards the end of the night and express their delight at how good the wedding cake was. They told us they had never had wedding cake as good as ours was, and especially loved the Reese’s chocolate/peanut butter frosting layer. Delicious!! For my wedding I decided to go with mostly cupcakes and a two tier cake. Everyone can not stop talking about how delicious these cupcakes were. It was like heaven biting into them. She has so many different flavors, toppings, icings and fill-ins to choose from. They were the most moist cupcakes I have ever had. My mouth is still watering thinking about them lol. I will definitely be contacting her in the future anytime I need a cake made.

One of the easiest vendors we worked with! We had cupcakes at our wedding in 5 flavors. The set up was beautiful, and the cupcakes were delicious! We had one tasting and were completely satisfied, but I think they tasted even BETTER on our wedding day! This is a side business of the daughter of the owners of Family Catering - that family sure does know how to provide great food at an extremely reasonable price...all brides in the catering/cake planning stage should book this team ASAP!!

I wish I had a slice of the chocolate chocolate-chip and the almond pound cake right now!!! Rachel did a beautiful job decorating our cake. The cake was moist and full of flavor. I highly recommend Cakes by Whit!

Everyone loved the cake. People are still telling me they were surprised at how good it really tasted. The design was difficult and Whitney still pulled it off. The venue commented on how professional Whitney was in setting up the cake. We would recommend her to a friend.

Cakes by Whitney was the one wedding disappointment. She mis-spelled words, used wrong color, forgot silver tray, forgot one of the cakes!!!!!!!!! It wasn't pretty and she was extremely hard to communicate with during the wedding planning. Should have known it was a clue to what the outcome would be.
