Jim is the music director at this parish, although I am not a parishioner and I had actually never heard him perform before my wedding. However I had seen online that he performed outside of this church, and I was looking for someone to do the music at my wedding- a Catholic mass. The church website provided some audio clips of pieces they performed, and the website gave a good idea of some nice music selections. I picked the music I wanted, and Jim was helpful in giving suggestions. He visited the church ahead of time to make sure everything, including the timing of the procession, would be well planned. On the day of the wedding Jim was a vocalist and played the organ, and we had trumpet player (Angela), violinist (Leah), and another vocalist (Evelyn). They were all outstanding! I received many compliments from my guests about the music. I would highly recommend any of them to perform at any type of venue. I feel very lucky that I was able to have such beautiful music at my wedding.

Jim Lake, the Music Director, was extremely accommodating and understanding of our wants. He was able to recommend the best musicians for our song selections, based on the songs’ necessary instruments. Jim suggested, in addition to himself as the organist, (1) violinist, (1) cellist, (1) trumpeter, (1) percussionist and (1) soprano soloist. The musicians were phenomenal. They played both American and Italian songs, per our request, and did not miss a beat. I will never forget the indescribable feeling of sitting at the alter with my new husband, listening to the beautiful and grand music filling the church.

More often than not, a bride and groom mistakenly focus their attention on the reception and less on the church. The cost of having beautiful music at your wedding is minimal in comparison to other wedding expenses. The music and production of your mass, if done right, will leave lasting impressions in your and everyone’s hearts and minds forever.
