We initially signed up with The Ruffle Effect for their design and floral package, and adding the design component was one of the best decisions we made. It kept everything beautifully cohesive compared to trying to handle the design and signage on our own. Casey and her team truly have a gift for understanding a vision—even when we struggled to describe or show exactly what we had in mind for our wedding.

We went through a few iterations of the design and floral plan, and throughout the process, the team was open to our input while offering expert guidance to ensure everything would come together seamlessly. It always felt like they genuinely wanted to capture our hopes for the day while keeping everything cohesive and polished.

As for planning, we initially planned to rely on our venue’s day-of coordinator to save on costs. However, about six weeks before the wedding, during our final details meeting, we realized that approach wasn’t going to work. The venue’s coordinator wasn’t equipped to manage the details in a way that would allow us to feel stress-free or confident on the big day. We reached out to Casey to see if her team could step in for month-of planning, and it turned out to be the best decision of our entire wedding.

Without The Ruffle Effect’s planning expertise, our day would likely have been chaotic and disappointing. They took over all the vendor coordination, built our timeline, understood exactly how we wanted the day to flow, and ensured every detail was flawlessly executed. Having one team handle florals, design, and planning was a game-changer—they knew every single detail from start to finish and seamlessly tied everything together.

The team also went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. For example, when we were late ordering napkins for our head table, they paid the invoice upfront to ensure the order would arrive on time. They also resolved a last-minute issue with our venue regarding late-night snacks from In-N-Out by picking up the food themselves—without charging us extra.

On the day of the wedding, the entire team was incredible. They were always there when we needed something but stayed in the background, quietly ensuring everything ran perfectly. It was the perfect balance of support and behind-the-scenes magic.

They also paired BEAUTIFULLY with the Franciscan Gardens venue in San Juan Capistrano, which is like an empty canvas begging to have gorgeous florals attached to it. I received SO many compliments on my wedding. Everyone said it was like ethereal and like a dream with the highlights being the full arch and the hanging wisteria from the pergola. They made my wedding day so magical!

Planning the wedding with them for over a year had been so fun with them, but on the day-of was when they REALLY shined, showing us their value when it mattered most. Casey is an absolute gem to work with! From helping us decide which package was best for us to designing and implementing our wedding vision, she was always kind, gracious and responsive. We had the 90 Day Planning + Design package while also using their floral offering, and it was the best combo. It meant that all of our design happened in one place and all elements were congruent. They even did florals for our rehearsal dinner/welcome party with a completely different vibe and they were perfect. Ally managed more of the detailed planning and was all over it, gathering insurance from vendors and ensuring they had the timeline. We didn't have to think twice about load-in/load-out type details on the day of, and that was such a win!
