River Winds Farm and Estate is a farm-style wedding venue located in Saco, Maine. The property has has two barns. One barn is a horse facility, the other is a Rustic cathedral barn perfect for hosting your big day. This 160-acre property can accommodate your event whether it's big or small, elaborate or simple. River Winds Farm is just 25 minutes from Portland and a few minutes from beaches, lakes and amusement parks.

River Winds Farm features unique spaces for wedding celebration. At this spacious venue, you have the option to use the estate home and event barn. The estate contains an outdoor swimming pool, an indoor lap pool, a professional-grade kitchen, a screened porch with eight bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. Access to the Saco River with kayaks provided. River Winds Farm is able to accommodate events for 150-200 of your closest friends and family during our summer months. Our event barn space can hold 150-170 comfortably for sit-down plated meal service.

River Winds is not only the ultimate Maine wedding destination, their property, amenities & team truly make for the most incredible wedding experience! Since the day we toured, we were treated like family by Gina, Beth and every member of the River Winds crew. Despite an unforgettably unfortunate year for weddings, they never stopped looking for creative ways to ensure we could still pull off our wedding safely. It doesn't hurt that they have 160+ acres of land and a beautiful & enormous deck off of their barn, which gave us so many more options for our wedding festivities. We also decided to rent the Austin house for our bridal party the night before & have our rehearsal dinner there on the grounds. I wish we had stayed there even longer - it really made the whole weekend so special! We are so thankful for finding River Winds & would recommend for any couple looking for a beautiful backdrop, helpful + resourceful staff and a place that offers so much more than a wedding....it's truly an experience.

So grateful we chose River Winds!
We knew the second we toured this venue that we wanted to get married there. The property is stunning with picturesque farm views and several options for where your ceremony can take place. The Austin House on site sleeps 16 and we were thrilled to find a venue that could accommodate our families. The house is stunning with plenty of room to explore and spread out, beautiful spaces to get ready in, and we definitely took advantage of the pools (plural)! We thought it couldn’t get better, but on top of being a breathtaking venue, the team there is phenomenal!! Gina was our contact there from day one and is so kind, funny and helpful. She had awesome response times which was such a relief as we got closer to the big day. She recommended so many of our other vendors and helped coordinate exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Sarah made the barn look even more beautiful than it does on its own and took care of our decor. We can’t recommend RWF and the team there enough - they took all the pressure off of us and our day went off without a hitch! They are true professionals and we would get married there again in a heartbeat.

Overly happy with our wedding experience at River Winds!
The beautify of the venue (the home, the barn, the 160+ well-kept acres) speaks for itself, doesn’t it? If the aesthetics weren’t enough, Beth Austin, the owner of River Winds Farm & Estate, and the Food and Beverage Manager, Gina Martinez, were even more spectacular. We had our wedding at RWF&E on August 24, 2019, and it was out of this world. Our guests kept commenting on the beauty of the venue. We also stayed in the home for 2 nights which allowed us to enjoy both the outdoor and indoor pool, lawn games, the guys enjoyed the “man cave,” and I walked some of the acres with my dog on the morning of the wedding to get some fresh air before the big day. Beth and Gina were also around all weekend to set-up and ensure we had what we needed. Overall, I am beyond happy that we had our wedding at RWF&E and I highly recommend it!

Highly recommend!
The owner of the venue is wonderful and very easy to work with! She has been very accommodating with us and is so easy going that the planning process has been as stress free as possible. She offers many services if you choose them including bartending, catering, brunches, spa ... all is up to you and what you want! They part that really got us, was that the venue includes handmade farm tables by her carpenter. The whole place is just stunning!

Our family was privileged to share a wonderful wedding weekend at this amazing facility recently. There was nothing we needed or wanted that they hadn't already taken care of. The food, flowers, entire venue exceeded any expectations we had. The unique opportunity for our two families to share time together here and get to know each other was really most enjoyable.
