Reverend Mike made our special day, oh so very special. Could seriously not ask for a better person to marry us. He was personable, weaved in the Aloha spirit as well as the Hawaiian ways. Saying we would recommend him is an understatement. We were crying from the first song in our wedding (Henry Manua was our singer who was super great too) and I swear I saw tears in his eyes too!

We did a destination wedding for our daughter in June 2023 at the HHV in Honolulu. I found Rev. Nelson on WeddingWire and reached out and we had a discussion. I liked him immediately. He met with my daughter and her fiance, got a sense of what they wanted and he made some great suggestions for the ceremony. He further got to know them after we booked with him and then met him for the rehearsal. He was wonderful and he crafted a meaningful sermon for their wedding that reflected their style and beliefs. I was afraid that the ceremony would be cold and lack a personal touch since we were having a destination wedding and that was not the case at all. He was amazingly professional and added a ton to the day. He was obviously very skilled and used to doing this but was also very engaged and made my daughter feel special and when we met him it's like he wasn't a stranger. If you can book him!!! I recommend him a million %.

Reverend Michael Nelson officiated our wedding and his message to us was so beautiful- his words will stay with me forever. We planned our wedding from afar, but the day of our wedding it felt like we had known him for years!

When we first called Rev. Nelson and explained what we were looking for, he told us he could provide a Hawaiian accented non-denominational Christian ceremony. I loved the sound of this, and on the day of our wedding it was just incredible. Our parents also loved him. He was easy to work with and very punctual the day of our wedding. So happy we had Rev. Nelson & we HIGHLY recommend him!!

We work with Rev. Michael Nelson and he is definitely one of our favs. BUT I’m writing this review because the heart he has for every couple. We were at a ceremony together and the house sound system was intermittently cutting out the mic. It was a mic/cable problem. We chatted and he totally went above and beyond to keep the mic working. He held the cable in the mic the whole ceremony. He is an ALLSTAR in my eyes. He didn’t complain and no guest knew we were having tech problems.

Reverend Michael Nelson was an absolute pleasure to work with and have as our officiant. He was a referral from both our photographer and florist and we are so glad we chose him for our wedding. We were able to meet with Michael a few days before the wedding to run through everything and discuss the ceremony, which was a big help in making us feel comfortable and less nervous for the wedding day.

The ceremony went perfectly and we followed Michael's "Romantic Hawaiian" ceremony outline, including lei exchanges to our parents which were a lovely touch. While he is a reverend we opted for a non-religious ceremony, which he accommodated perfectly for us. During the ceremony he spoke in such a personal and heartfelt manner, you would've thought he had known us our entire lives! We also felt that he created a relaxed atmosphere for the ceremony, which is exactly what we wanted. He's extremely pleasant and professional and we received so many compliments from our wedding guests about what a great officiant he was. If you need an officiant look no further -- he's fantastic!

Michael Nelson was so wonderful! Before the ceremony I had everything that could go wrong, go wrong. By the time I finally got to the beach where the ceremony was being held I was a wreck! Until Michael came to the rescue. I don't even think he knew he did. You can tell he had a lot of experience because he had everything planned out to ease the stress. He made sure I held my dress and flowers in the right way before coming down the isle for pictures, told me when exactly to start walking, what he was going to do and say so I wasn't surprised and when we would say our vows etc. He dressed for a Hawaiian wedding, had a very relaxing and easy going personality and looks good in pictures. My photographer recommended him to me and said he is the best officiant she's seen!
