Our wedding cake came with our package from the grand oaks country club. Renato’s did a wonderful job of creating the design we requested and the cake was delicious!!! I was so glad the venue was able to pack us some to take home and Of course the top layer.

My husband and I held an outdoor wedding in the hot summer and were on the fence about even having a wedding cake because we were providing Italian ices for our guests. We decided last minute to have a cake and decided to go with Mike from Renatos. He had previously made our engagement cake, so we knew his great quality of work. We had gone to him this time with the request of a funfetti cake which he gladly made for us, where other bakeries did not even give us that option. I had showed him a picture of what we wanted, and he was able to produce the exact cake we had requested. Our guests loved the funfetti cake!

We actually didn't care about the cake that much because we've been to a lot of weddings and the cake is always underwhelming. But ours came with the package so we decided what the heck and just chose the first design in the book. Well it turned out to be BEAUTIFUL and it was amazingly delicious. We got the chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and it was so light and airy. Not at all what you would expect from a chocolate/chocolate cake. All of our guests mentioned how good the cake was - and then all said it was the first time they've said that at a wedding!

All I have to say is they made our dream wedding cake into a reality. It was beautiful and exquisite with detail!!! Everyone loved the cake and it was just so delectable. Definately recommend !!

We had a great experience with Mike at Renato's Bakery. He made us exactly what we wanted and worked with us to plan a great wedding cake. He was familiar with our venue which was great to (and is familiar with just about all SI locations). Reasonably priced and excellent taste! We had a brunch wedding, so we found a very simple (or so we thought) coffee cake wedding cake design that we fell in love with. We initially reached out to three other bakers who either didn’t want to make a non-traditional wedding cake or said it would be too difficult to build. Then Mike at Renato’s became our savior. We already knew of Renato’s because we’ve had their delicious pastries and cookies at family gatherings. After dealing with so many diva bakers, Mike put us at ease, telling us that our idea was actually very simple to make and offered some great suggestions on how to make our cake look even better, which it did. Mike made us a delicious cake for a very reasonable price. He even increased the size from what we asked for and didn’t charge us more. Not only was our cake beautiful, it was absolutely delicious. We were worried that because it was a coffee cake with cinnamon streusel, it would be too dry, but it was surprisingly moist and Mike even added just a bit of buttercream, which made a huge difference. To this day, our friends and family tell us how much they loved our cake. We can’t speak more highly of Mike or of Renato’s!

Renato's Pastry Shoppe is the house baker for our venue. We met with the baker, Michael, and showed him what style cake we wanted. He suggested some flavor combinations for fillings which were all very good. When we saw our cake the night of our wedding we were very happy. Michael did a great job!! Not only was the cake beautiful, it was delicious too!

We heard of them through our wedding venue, Nicotras Ballroom. We started our interactions with the cake tasting and it was pretty easy. Our coordinator sent us a sheet with the different flavor options and it also had some suggested combinations. I called them and told them the 3 combinations we wanted to try, and it was available for pickup for whenever my fiance and I were available. I even asked the baker over the phone what they suggested and if the flavors I picked would be ok, and they gave us their honest opinions and suggestions. And that's exactly what you need and want when you're about to feed the product to 100+ people. The samples they give you are parfait style and actually quite large. I was able to divide each parfait cup into 5 portions for each of our 'taster helpers' to get a bite. In the end we chose a red velvet cake with cannoli cream and chocolate mouse fillings. I was worried the cake would be dry, but both the sample and the actual cake were perfect. I was also worried it would be too chocolatey, but it had a perfectly balanced flavor. As for appearance, I was beyond thrilled with the way the cake looked. My now husband and I plan on returning to them for future events. We'll also be ordering a smaller cake with the flavors we used for the wedding for every future anniversary. They were just that good.

The cake was absolutely beautiful and looked exactly like the picture we showed the baker. Michael was so accommodating and did everything he could to please us. I usually don't like the taste of fondant but his cake was awesome!
