Reid's catered / bartended our wedding at Overlook Barn on Oct 1st. We went out on a limb by hiring them as vendors without even trying their food before our wedding day... but we wouldn't change a thing! Our guests repeatedly told us that this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding - and we loved it too :) The team is extremely professional, knowledgeable and accommodating! We had several guests with dietary restrictions (vegan / GF) and even they were able to leave fully satiated! Thanks Reids!

We hired Reid's to cater dinner for our wedding and we couldn't be happier with that decision! Everyone we interacted with was so nice and extremely helpful. They are very accommodating with dietary restrictions and the food was the best catering I have ever had at an event. Many of our guests said the same thing. Everyone raved about how good their food was! We hired our bartenders through Reid's, as well, and their service was amazing. Reid's is worth every penny.

Reid's staff and food could not be beat for our wedding day. The staff was super friendly, easy to work with, and very helpful with setup and takedown of the dinner wear. The food was amazing, they were able to customize their options to accommodate our vegan and allergen guests. I would highly recommend them to any one getting married in the greater Boone area!

We hired Reid's to cater and bartend our May 28, 2022 backyard wedding at a private family home in Newland, NC and they did an amazing job. I worked with Meris and Susan for about 12 months to nail down our personalized menu and bar options. Susan was so patient with me as we made menu changes, bar tweaks, and floorplan adjustments. The Reid's culinary and service team were absolute pros on the day of our wedding, arriving early for set up, graciously serving guests during the outdoor cocktail hour and dinner reception, and helping break down the reception space after guests left. The buffet dinner and passed hors d'oeuvres were so delicious. We had a couple of guests with food allergies, and Reid's made sure to accommodate their needs. I would absolutely recommend Reid's for any special event catering!

We booked Reid's Catering based on reviews that we read online, as well as a recommendation from our venue. We did not have an opportunity to attend a tasting beforehand as we are from out of state, but it was no issue whatsoever. For our wedding, we had a cocktail hour with passed hors d'oeuvres, a plated dinner for 110, and a dessert bar. We also hired bartenders to serve the wine and beer that we purchased on our own. Due to weather, we moved the cocktail hour to a completely different location, but Reid's was ON TOP of everything and most of the guests had no idea that the new location wasn't in our original plan from the beginning! The staff was wonderful, and every raved about how friendly everyone was. Also...the FOOD! Everything from the first appetizer to the last dessert was incredible. We've heard from multiple guests that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. If you're getting married in the Boone area, you must book Reid's!

Reid's catered an absolutely delicious wedding meal for us & our guests! They even made special vegan dishes for us and used seasonal produce. The food was divine & all the guests complimented us on choosing Reid's. We definitely recommend them & will be using them for our vow renewal ceremony in 10 years :)

Reid's catered our wedding last month -- and our guests are still raving about the food! Honestly, it's the first thing most people mention when the topic of our wedding comes up. Several of our friends and family have said that the food was some of the best they've ever had -- not just the best wedding food, but the best food, period.

During the planning process, the staff listened to our vision and recommended dishes and family-style service that would help bring that to life. My now-husband and I have several dietary restrictions, and are both vegan, and Reid's was incredibly accommodating. Most vegan meals seem like an afterthought, but Reid's recommended a roasted portobello with veggies, quinoa and cashew sauce -- and it was amazing. Reid's was also very responsive and gracious when we decided to change up our menu the month before the wedding.

At the wedding, the service was impeccable, timely and flawless. Everything ran so smoothly. The servers were super friendly and served all the tables at the same time. They even remembered to bring us our allergen-friendly cake. Just a great experience overall. Thank you, Reid's staff!

We hired Reid's for appetizers and wait staff. We had a bartender and 4 servers. We did not choose the appetizers, instead we were told what they could provide. I enjoyed the country ham biscuits- they were amazing! The other two appetizers, I did not like only due to personal preference, but other people raved about the food. The bartender was amazing and servers were quick to clean up and helped break down everything after the wedding. It was great!

Tina Houston of Reid's catering was wonderful to work with! She and her assistant, Jessica, were prompt in their responses to my questions. They were most willing to make changes in the menu and accommodate our ideas. Our bride and groom didn't want wedding cake, but had a multi-layer wedding cheese that the groom's parents provided from Wisconsin and Tina provided wonderful flatbreads and crackers for the cheese. They did a great job of presenting the food - which was delicious - and their staff was seamless in moving around the venue to keep everything stocked, tidy, and picked up. Our bride and groom provided their own alcohol from Texas, and Tina's bartenders did a great job having the mixers and condiments for all kinds of drinks.
Prior to the wedding in our "month before" conference call, Tina laid out ideas for presentation and service which showed professionalism and attention to detail which were very comforting to us. When we got off the phone, we felt like we were in good hands.
I can heartily recommend Tina Houston and Reid's catering to any bride in the High Country.
