Where do I begin?! From our very first venue visit, my husband Shawn and I were in love with Red Ridge Receptions and the owners. Red Ridge was our first stop and our last. Once we finished our tour and got to know Chris (one of the owners) we knew we didn’t need to look any further. From the view, to the more intimate venue feel and all the little details in between, this venue had everything we wanted, and MORE! Not to mention how incredibly affordable they are for all that they offer! We deiced to go with one of their packages which was such a great decision as it made everything easier on us with not having to rent from other vendors. The yard games and photo booth were such big hits with the guests! I also loved that they have a la cart options as well. Now, what REALLY was the cherry on top of this dreamy venue were its incredible owners who made our special day what it was. From the start of planning to the very end, Chris and Bethany were the power couple with the backing of an incredible team who made our wedding day so dreamy and run so seamlessly. I was blown away by how smooth they ran everything from start to finish, thinking of EVERYTHING. Chris handled all the in-person details such as our venue visits, running through rehearsals with the wedding party, showing us to our bride and groom suites, DJ’ing/hosting, OFFICIATING for us and much more! Then there is Bethany who was the true ninja behind the scenes! Communicating with Bethany via email or phone was ALWAYS a pleasure. Bethany was also so timely with her responses, she was great about checking in and answering any questions or offering suggestions. I am not someone who enjoys events, especially a large event such as a wedding, BUT Bethany and Chris made the process so effortless with how organized they are. They have this whole process down pat, while still making Shawn and I feel as though we were their only clients! Chris and Bethany even gave us a hand-made and personalized gift on our wedding day that we will cherish for years to come. I could go on and on about how AMAZING Chris, Bethany, their team and Red Ridge Receptions are. They are what made our wedding day feel like a literal DREAM. If you have come across their venue and your date is available BOOK THEM NOW!!!

Red Ridge was the second venue my husband and I saw, and we were sold! The grounds are BEAUTIFUL, so much so that all our attendee's made sure to get photos with their partners and families. Minimal decorating was needed. Inside was the perfect size (our guest count was 100), and the staff was AMAZING. From the start, our communication with Chris & Bethany was seamless. They answered all our questions, no matter how big or small. All my anxieties were for nothing, as the wedding went so well! I have to give thanks to our day of coordinator Anna, who was such a pro at keeping everything on track, including making sure I ate haha. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing!

Getting to have our event at Red Ridge Receptions was amazing! This review is very overdue. We had the typical, challenging COVID wedding struggles. We got engaged in 2018, set our date for 10/10/20, and started looking for a venue in Spring 2019. We knew we could trust them when they gave us a head's up that an out of state couple was interested in the same date and would be touring soon. We made sure to get out ASAP.

It is beautiful! On top of a wood-covered hill overlooking the fields below, a large hall with a bridal suite that looked like an oversized, elegant cottage, with a groom's den just down the driveway. The outdoor ceremony site is a gazebo with a chandelier in the middle with plenty of space for seated guests on the lawn. We fell in love with it. And it was so well priced (we checked out about 20 - 30 places overall, absolutely worth every penny). They mentioned how they make improvements to the location every summer, and even asked if we had any thoughts.

Of course, as we got closer to our date COVID hit. We kept our fingers crossed things would get better by our date, but unfortunately it wasn't. We spoke with them a couple of months before about rescheduling. We had already paid in full (and received a small discount as a result), and definitely intended to try for the same date in 2021. The disappointing caveat was that we could only reschedule for a Sunday or Friday, but we understood why: its hard for a venue to have 2 Saturdays booked and only have one of them used. There was no guarantee the 2020 date would be filled. So we signed on for 10/17/2021, no additional fees or issues at all. We did decide to officially get married on our original date with immediate family and a couple of friends.

The vow renewal/reception was just as we had hoped. They did a wonderful job staffing the venue, as in making sure everything went smoothly, any issues that arose were addressed promptly, and only things that needed our specific attention were brought to us. We did the majority of the decorating with some assistance from them, they checked in about our preferences and such. They helped unload vehicles and make sure all bases were covered. They coordinated with all of our vendors. It was beautiful, exciting, and relaxing all at once. They took off so much of the pressure and stress that comes with wedding planning, especially a COVID one where there always seems to be a new way for something to go wrong. We were so lucky to find them when we did. Thank you Red Ridge. We appreciate you so much.

In his vows to me, my husband thanked me for not letting him ghost me after a failed first date. And basically, I need to thank Red Ridge (Chris & Bethany) for not letting me ghost them.

I thought the venue was pretty, but too rustic for my tastes. We scheduled a tour of a different venue in Austin (we live in DFW), and since RR had followed up on my initial message, I figured what the heck, we can tack on a stop there as long as we are in town. It was the first venue we stopped at that we were both STOKED about. One stop packages for me, and a bathroom in the groomsuite for him (this was actually a rarity among venues we toured. Ok there was lots of reasons we chose RR but I'd be lying if I said that bathroom wasn't at least one tally mark!! We left the tour and my fiance immediately said "Anything else we see is going to have to really blow our minds to beat that."

Ok, enough about how we met Red Ridge! The planning with them was so smooth and seamless - very consistent responses and they didn't make us feel dumb for asking some very nitty gritty detail questions (we're service industry, we can't help it). They give you a great jumping off point with their preferred vendor list but they do not limit you to just those vendors, or worse CHARGE you to use non preferred vendors (that's a real thing). Whether they say it to all couples or not, they complimented lots of our choices along the way, which I loved. Lots of people will give you their opinions when wedding planning so it was great to have some encouragement from the experts.

OK on to the actual wedding- what a freaking party. We told Red Ridge we wanted a PARTY, and they played a huge role in that. You can't party too hard if you don't have a ride home- Chris hooked us up with a great transportation service. No party without an awesome dj managing our playlist and speedy bartenders- Kylan, Jess and John knocked it out of the park. Not that I ever went to the bar because the badass day of coordinator (another HUGE value with their package) was making sure I always had a drink in hand! Literally letting me drink a cocktail out of her hand in between family photos. What a gem.

We initially thought we wanted a destination wedding so people would get a little vacation too. But, we still wanted a large group so somewhere out of the country was out. Red Ridge ended up being just perfect- enough of a destination that you had to take the weekend off- but not so far that limited the guest list. Just perfect. And I haven't even mentioned how much fun our guests had exploring Smithville and Bastrop. We had people in from Missouri, Iowa, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and fellow Texans and they were all absolutely charmed by Red Ridge and area!

On the actual day of the wedding, my friends and family had more interaction with the RR team but they all said the same thing- those guys really know their stuff! Several members of our wedding party said the rehearsal was the most organized rehearsal they'd ever been to. Chris doesn't want to waste anyone's time and I appreciate his directness with our rowdy crew! He also is very insistent that it's your day and most likely, they can accommodate whatever the couple wants. We loved that they even let us give them a playlist of songs NOT to play at the reception. That's the level of detail you want! The views are spectacular, the packages offer incredible value, and Chris and Beth are amazing. And it def doesn't have to be rustic! ;)

Red Ridge exceeded my expectations. Chris and Bethany did an excellent job and a HUGE shoutout to their coordinator who was extraordinary. I (the bride) and my husband were very well taken care of. My bridal party didn’t have to worry about anything besides showing up. They were on time, and professional. They were organized, and thoughtful. Thank you Red Ridge for an amazing, unforgettable day.

As the FOB, as I was extremely happy with the cost for all that was provided. Chris and his staff made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. I highly recommend them.

Chris and Bethany were fantastic. The people we absolutely hoped to have handle our wedding. We had a pandemic wedding and Red Ridge surpassed our expectations with their help. Any small details we missed and brought up to the venue, they immediately handled in in the most calming and professional manner. Their SOP’s and knowledge shines through with everything they do. We cannot recommend highly enough!

Red Ridge was the perfect place for our wedding this past March. Chris, the owner, was so kind and personable and his assistant Kimberlee was awesome day of! Both were so attentive. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue. They took care of everything and did so with professionalism. They also made sure that we were on track with external vendors. They did an excellent job of staying in touch throughout the uncertainty of the pandemic. My husband and I would recommend Red Ridge in a heart beat.

Wow! Writing a review for Red Ridge Receptions does not do Chris & Bethany, their team and their venue justice. From meeting them the first time we knew this would be the place we wanted to hold our wedding. I highly recommend adding on everything you can with them as it takes off that much more stress than outsourcing it to someone else.

Planning - SO responsive and always helpful with ideas. We booked them almost a year in advance and they were in constant contact with us as things were booked, adjusted, etc. I can't thank them enough for the guidance and support they provided us through the process. Even during such a challenging year as COVID, they ALWAYS had a positive attitude and solution worked up. Whenever we were stressed talking to them would ease everything. They also have a great list of contacts they provide you with to help find other services you need on your special day.

The Venue - Multiple guests from our wedding day told us this is the BEST venue they have ever been too. The set up is perfect. The flow is perfect. The details are thought out and meaningful. The outdoor area makes it a great space to hold a Texas wedding filled with yard games, space to spread out and beautiful backdrops to take pictures. There is a bridal suite and grooms house that makes the day so much fun for both parties.

Day of - From getting ready, to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception to the exit, everything went perfect. Everyone always says "don't sweat it on the big day something always goes wrong" but because of Chris and Bethany's planning and precision there was nothing that went wrong - not even a hiccup. If there was they handled it because we were never made aware. Everything was a dream.

All in all, if your considering Red Ridge Receptions I highly recommend you move forward with them. They are professional and genuine people who will make sure your special day is everything you dreamed of (and even more!).

I cannot extend enough gratitude to the people at Red Ridge for their effort, professionalism, and guidance for helping us have a truly rememberable wedding.

From the beginning of the process, I new that my (now) wife and I could not have picked a better venue. The location is spectacular, easy to find but secluded enough for an intimate feeling. The view allows for amazing pictures that any photographer can take advantage of. The building is elegant and flows well.

The fantastic location is topped off with an incredible set of staff. You can trust that everyone that works at Red Ridge will preform with the highest form of professionalism, while making sure everything runs smoothly. Bethany was such a great main point of contact up to the day of. She was quick to answer any questions we had, and she had great suggestions when we were not sure on what the best next move was. My wife and I did most of the planning ourselves, but Bethany made very step in the process streamlined and easy to follow. We could not have asked for a better manager than Chris. He knows how to direct a crowd that made the rehearsal run smoothly. Chris was straightforward with my wife and I and ensured that we were heard with any concerns or questions we had. Bethany and Chris make an expert team for anyone’s wedding.

The day of team was awesome. We had some unique request having two brides, including us both walking down two separate aisles at the same time, but the day of team made sure the timing was perfect. I cannot complement Niki, our day of coordinator, enough. Niki made sure we were on time, hydrated and fed, but most of all having fun. Their wasn’t a drink Jessie, our bartender, couldn’t make. Everyone was on the dancefloor having a great time thanks to the DJ, Kylan.

I cannot recommend Red Ridge enough, nor can I thank them enough for amazing wedding my wife and I will always remember.
