Where do I begin?! From our very first venue visit, my husband Shawn and I were in love with Red Ridge Receptions and the owners. Red Ridge was our first stop and our last. Once we finished our tour and got to know Chris (one of the owners) we knew we didn’t need to look any further. From the view, to the more intimate venue feel and all the little details in between, this venue had everything we wanted, and MORE! Not to mention how incredibly affordable they are for all that they offer! We deiced to go with one of their packages which was such a great decision as it made everything easier on us with not having to rent from other vendors. The yard games and photo booth were such big hits with the guests! I also loved that they have a la cart options as well. Now, what REALLY was the cherry on top of this dreamy venue were its incredible owners who made our special day what it was. From the start of planning to the very end, Chris and Bethany were the power couple with the backing of an incredible team who made our wedding day so dreamy and run so seamlessly. I was blown away by how smooth they ran everything from start to finish, thinking of EVERYTHING. Chris handled all the in-person details such as our venue visits, running through rehearsals with the wedding party, showing us to our bride and groom suites, DJ’ing/hosting, OFFICIATING for us and much more! Then there is Bethany who was the true ninja behind the scenes! Communicating with Bethany via email or phone was ALWAYS a pleasure. Bethany was also so timely with her responses, she was great about checking in and answering any questions or offering suggestions. I am not someone who enjoys events, especially a large event such as a wedding, BUT Bethany and Chris made the process so effortless with how organized they are. They have this whole process down pat, while still making Shawn and I feel as though we were their only clients! Chris and Bethany even gave us a hand-made and personalized gift on our wedding day that we will cherish for years to come. I could go on and on about how AMAZING Chris, Bethany, their team and Red Ridge Receptions are. They are what made our wedding day feel like a literal DREAM. Red Ridge was the second venue my husband and I saw, and we were sold! The grounds are BEAUTIFUL, so much so that all our attendee's made sure to get photos with their partners and families. Minimal decorating was needed. Inside was the perfect size (our guest count was 100), and the staff was AMAZING. From the start, our communication with Chris & Bethany was seamless. They answered all our questions, no matter how big or small. All my anxieties were for nothing, as the wedding went so well! I have to give thanks to our day of coordinator Anna, who was such a pro at keeping everything on track, including making sure I ate haha. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing! -

In his vows to me, my husband thanked me for not letting him ghost me after a failed first date. And basically, I need to thank Red Ridge (Chris & Bethany) for not letting me ghost them.
I thought the venue was pretty, but too rustic for my tastes. We scheduled a tour of a different venue in Austin (we live in DFW), and since RR had followed up on my initial message, I figured what the heck, we can tack on a stop there as long as we are in town. It was the first venue we stopped at that we were both STOKED about. One stop packages for me, and a bathroom in the groomsuite for him (this was actually a rarity among venues we toured. Ok there was lots of reasons we chose RR but I'd be lying if I said that bathroom wasn't at least one tally mark!! We left the tour and my fiance immediately said "Anything else we see is going to have to really blow our minds to beat that."
Ok, enough about how we met Red Ridge! The planning with them was so smooth and seamless - very consistent responses and they didn't make us feel dumb for asking some very nitty gritty detail questions (we're service industry, we can't help it). They give you a great jumping off point with their preferred vendor list but they do not limit you to just those vendors, or worse CHARGE you to use non preferred vendors (that's a real thing). Whether they say it to all couples or not, they complimented lots of our choices along the way, which I loved. Lots of people will give you their opinions when wedding planning so it was great to have some encouragement from the experts.
OK on to the actual wedding- what a freaking party. We told Red Ridge we wanted a PARTY, and they played a huge role in that. You can't party too hard if you don't have a ride home- Chris hooked us up with a great transportation service. No party without an awesome dj managing our playlist and speedy bartenders- Kylan, Jess and John knocked it out of the park. Not that I ever went to the bar because the badass day of coordinator (another HUGE value with their package) was making sure I always had a drink in hand! Literally letting me drink a cocktail out of her hand in between family photos. What a gem.
We initially thought we wanted a destination wedding so people would get a little vacation too. But, we still wanted a large group so somewhere out of the country was out. Red Ridge ended up being just perfect- enough of a destination that you had to take the weekend off- but not so far that limited the guest list. Just perfect. And I haven't even mentioned how much fun our guests had exploring Smithville and Bastrop. We had people in from Missouri, Iowa, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and fellow Texans and they were all absolutely charmed by Red Ridge and area!
On the actual day of the wedding, my friends and family had more interaction with the RR team but they all said the same thing- those guys really know their stuff! Several members of our wedding party said the rehearsal was the most organized rehearsal they'd ever been to. Chris doesn't want to waste anyone's time and I appreciate his directness with our rowdy crew! He also is very insistent that it's your day and most likely, they can accommodate whatever the couple wants. We loved that they even let us give them a playlist of songs NOT to play at the reception. That's the level of detail you want! The views are spectacular, the packages offer incredible value, and Chris and Beth are amazing. And it def doesn't have to be rustic! ;) -

My wedding at Red Ridge
Red Ridge exceeded my expectations. Chris and Bethany did an excellent job and a HUGE shoutout to their coordinator who was extraordinary. I (the bride) and my husband were very well taken care of. My bridal party didn’t have to worry about anything besides showing up. They were on time, and professional. They were organized, and thoughtful. Thank you Red Ridge for an amazing, unforgettable day. -

Red Ridge was the perfect place for our wedding this past March. Chris, the owner, was so kind and personable and his assistant Kimberlee was awesome day of! Both were so attentive. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue. They took care of everything and did so with professionalism. They also made sure that we were on track with external vendors. They did an excellent job of staying in touch throughout the uncertainty of the pandemic. My husband and I would recommend Red Ridge in a heart beat. -

I cannot extend enough gratitude to the people at Red Ridge for their effort, professionalism, and guidance for helping us have a truly rememberable wedding.
From the beginning of the process, I new that my (now) wife and I could not have picked a better venue. The location is spectacular, easy to find but secluded enough for an intimate feeling. The view allows for amazing pictures that any photographer can take advantage of. The building is elegant and flows well.
The fantastic location is topped off with an incredible set of staff. You can trust that everyone that works at Red Ridge will preform with the highest form of professionalism, while making sure everything runs smoothly. Bethany was such a great main point of contact up to the day of. She was quick to answer any questions we had, and she had great suggestions when we were not sure on what the best next move was. My wife and I did most of the planning ourselves, but Bethany made very step in the process streamlined and easy to follow. We could not have asked for a better manager than Chris. He knows how to direct a crowd that made the rehearsal run smoothly. Chris was straightforward with my wife and I and ensured that we were heard with any concerns or questions we had. Bethany and Chris make an expert team for anyone’s wedding.
The day of team was awesome. We had some unique request having two brides, including us both walking down two separate aisles at the same time, but the day of team made sure the timing was perfect. I cannot complement Niki, our day of coordinator, enough. Niki made sure we were on time, hydrated and fed, but most of all having fun. Their wasn’t a drink Jessie, our bartender, couldn’t make. Everyone was on the dancefloor having a great time thanks to the DJ, Kylan.
I cannot recommend Red Ridge enough, nor can I thank them enough for amazing wedding my wife and I will always remember.

We have to say that Chris & Bethany are a 5-star Team! Chris was so hands-on from day one. He not only did a superb job as the Officient of our daughter's wedding, but he was also the DJ & kept the day on schedule and running like clockwork, Bethany was the lovely Angel doing all of the extraordinary work behind-the-scenes. They're both very organized, helpful, prompt in their email responses, not to mention excellent & efficient communicators. The venue is gorgeous, from the amazing mountain-view, well-groomed grounds to the beautifully decorated interior Grande Room, Bridal Suite & Groomsmen's Suite. We highly recommend Red Ridge Receptions for your life's most memorable, love-filled and joyous occasions! -

Our experience with Chris and Bethany was amazing!
For starters this venue is absolutely stunning! The pictures do not even scratch the surface! I got so many compliments on how beautiful fhis place was. We literally only decorated the tables, no more was needed!
From the very beginning they were so accommodating! They were so kind and welcoming, making us feel like family!
They let my family come tour and take pictures for my husband and I since we live 6 hrs away. They really went above and beyond for us, making sure we had everything we needed every step of the way! They answered all of my emails super quick. I had so many hiccups and last minute family, wedding party, and officiant drama and they handled it quickly and flawlessly! During the rehersal and wedding they made sure that my husband and I didnt have to worry about a thing, and they made my family feel so welcome.
We did the package which included the photobooth, which everyone had a blast with! Absolutly worth it! I really cant say enough about our experience with Red Ridge! Thank you guys so so much for making our dream wedding come true! -

I loved every part of Red Ridge. Bethany was so helpful with everything prior to the big day and Chris ran day of so smoothly. I got endless complements on how well organized and beautiful everything was, which I really had nothing to do with! It was all Chris and Bethany and their awesome staff. I loved Nicki, every time I turned around she was there to offer a beer or help with anything and everything I could possibly want. You won’t regret choosing Red Ridge. The views are breathtaking and the whole venue is picture perfect. Seriously, my pictures turned out stunning thanks to all the beautiful backdrops! -

Amazing Red Ridge wedding
The owners, Chris & Bethany, were wonderful from the start. When we met with them, they welcomed us as if we were family and that treatment continued throughout the whole process. They made some great recommendations that were much needed. We wanted to have a very small wedding and Red Ridge delivered. It was perfect. The outdoor setting made for a beautiful ceremony. The venue was clean and well maintained. Chris and his crew were very professional and helped in every way possible. My wife and I didn't have to do anything the day of the wedding. The entire day was perfect. -

While I could go on and on about how beautiful the venue is, what I would like to focus on is the first class service provided by the owners, Chris and Bethany, as well as their entire staff! We were welcomed and treated like family long before ever signing a contract, and the sense of warmth and excitement we felt from them over hosting OUR wedding is what officially sealed the deal for us! We knew that these were the type of professionals we wanted and NEEDED for our Big Day, and at two months post wedding, we are STILL hearing from friends and family how impressed they were by how the entire evening ran like clockwork! Chris and Bethany have this wedding business down to a fine art, and the personal touches they provide along the way are second to none! Beyond responsive with communication, such upbeat attitudes that never have you feeling like you’re becoming a burden, accommodating, caring...there aren’t enough words allotted to this review for me to give them enough praise! 10/20/18 was such a special day, and we sincerely thank Red Ridge for making it so easy! Red ridge exceeded our expectations times a million! They communicated efficiently , provided timely suggestions and feedback, as well as sent friendly reminders of information needed to successfully execute our wedding. They made our wedding experience stress free because of the coordination days prior to and day of. They dealt with an excited group of bridesmaids and groomsmen so respectfully and politely. They made sure to keep the bride and groom in the know of any events happening during the wedding or questions they had. The DJ was THE BEST. I can not describe the excitement he spread through out our wedding reception. We had people dancing and moving! The Red ridge staff all had an itinerary of our wedding day and followed it strictly. We chose the add on package that had the dj, photo booth, service staff, coordination services, and some decor included. Everything went as planned and was above and beyond. I love Chris and Bethany for being so supportive and positive and calming on our special day! It was AMAZING and I wish i could do it all over again! -

I truly cannot speak highly enough regarding the fantastic venue and services that Chris, Bethany, and their team offer at Red Ridge Receptions. Our day was no-stress, unbelievably beautiful, and enormous fun. Our guests continually talked about how beautiful the venue was, as well as how professional Chris and his team were during the wedding. Bethany was always prompt with communication and providing recommendations when organising the day. I suspect that it would be incredibly difficult to find a more beautiful venue operated by two kinder and more thoughtful individuals. We are truly blessed to have had this experience, and assure you that you will be in very capable hands if you choose Red Ridge Receptions for your wedding or next event! -

Such a beautiful place and the best owners/staff!!
I can't say enough about Red Ridge and their owners Bethany and Chris. The grounds are so beautiful and make a stunning backdrop for the ceremony!
Leading up to the day, Bethany made the planning so easy and seamless. On the day, Chris and the staff were so professional. You hardly noticed them as they worked diligently in the background. Thank you Chris for the beautiful sign you made us and for making us feel so special!

I would recommend Red Ridge to every single couple I know getting married
We had and are still getting so many comments about how beautiful everything was and how non chaotic everything was.
From organizing the rehearsal the day before, to making sure we had a plate of food waiting for us on the table as soon as we got done with the ceremony. These people are the people you want in your corner on your big day hands down. -

Red Ridge turned out to be one of the most important and best wedding decisions we made! Chris and Bethany were a pleasure to work during the planning process. They were accommodating to all our requests and any hiccups the day before and the day of the wedding were handled graciously and effortlessly. We opted for a Saturday wedding with Red Ridge’s all-inclusive package, which made planning a simpler and smoother process as well. Bang for the buck, it can’t be beat and we highly recommend it!
Bethany managed all details with the band and vendors prior to the wedding. Chris managed all the logistics before, during, and after the wedding. The day-of wedding staff blew our families and us away; these folks went above and beyond, working tirelessly together and alongside vendors to keep the entire event running smoothly. Thanks to them, my husband and I had ZERO worries the day of our wedding – we simply were able to enjoy every moment of the wedding and reception knowing, without a doubt, everything was being handled for our families, guests, and us. What a welcome relief after seemingly endless months of wedding planning. A big shout-out, high-five, and sincere thanks to Adam, Kylan, and Tina – you folks are nothing short of AMAZING!
We absolutely could NOT be more pleased with Red Ridge’s accommodations and their staff. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU Red Ridge, for making our wedding day a truly beautiful, fun, and memorable day for all!

Richard Sent on 11/10/2017Red Ridge was the perfect place to have in charge of our special day. They responded to us in a timely manner and made sure to lend us their expertise to help plan a perfect wedding. The staff that Red Ridge uses was exceptional, they made everyone feel like they belonged at this party and I heard no complaints from the 100 people that attended our wedding when it came to the bartenders, DJ, or wait staff. The best thing about Red Ridge is it has a family vibe to it and both Chris and Bethany make you really feel like you are part of their family throughout the planning and ceremony. When the big day came and it was time for us to walk down the aisle together everything went off without a hitch. Chris was able to make sure that not only was everything that he had on his plate being taken care of but also made sure that the bride and groom where waited on hand and feet. It felt like we where royalty. Any time I needed something they where there to provide it. I even got a beer delivered to me so I could take one drink before pictures and then taken away until I was ready for it again. Looking back we would not have done a single thing different and are, from the bottom of our hearts, thankful that we found Chris and Bethany because without them I really don't see our momentous day turning out how it did.

Kayla Sent on 01/05/2015I cannot say enough about Red Ridge Reception. They provided excellent service and did everything they could to make my day absolutely perfect. Before I had my wedding new owners took over, and honestly I think it went better then I ever thought. They made sure to update me on the fact they were taking over, they also said they would stay committed to what was on the contract. They went above and beyond! The previous owner had a PA system that we were going to use for the DJ and they ended up taking it with them. But the new owners Brittany and Chris went out of their way to purchase another one for my wedding. I was so thankful for that, especially considering my wedding was about two weeks away at that point. I noticed when I went to the rehearsal the day before there were leaves everywhere, but the next day when I got their to setup, I saw Chris blowing them away. It was just so great that they took care of everything before I even thought about it. Definitely made my day easy and perfect! Thank you Red Ridge for everything you did! -

Beautiful venue and my wedding was like a fairy tail. The owners Chris and Bethany were very attentive and answered any questions I had. We did have a day of coordinator that we paid for and was not able to be there which I think would have helped keep things more on time but Chris did his best. The reception was nice. One more table could have been added for seating at the reception. Wish we had had more dancing time as the dinner service was a little slow. The Dj was good but could have started a little earlier and choose better songs from our selection. Other than that it was a great experience. I would recommend this place to anyone. -

Not only is the property immaculately well kept and beautiful, but the overall customer service we received from Bethany and Chris was beyond exceptional. We opted for the "in-house" package which includes decorations, music, photo booth, etc. and I would highly recommend this to other couples as well. The entire process and setup was amazing! Chris and Bethany are such wonderful people and made our day truly special. We received so many compliments from our guests about the beautiful venue, the decorations, and set-up! Thank you to Red Ridge for truly making 11.18.17 the best day ever!
