We booked the Hall at Jester King for our micro wedding (20 people) 4/12/24. Myrna was friendly and responsive, the grounds were beautiful, and as absolutely ADORED having the goats come crash the party!

We opted not to provide food due to budget constraints.

Overall we were very satisfied with out experience and would highly recommend to anyone!

This was the best day of my life and working with jester king was incredibly stressful from start to finish. I would not recommend it even for a rehearsal dinner etc…

Some of the issues we had:
-I showed up to my own wedding as our vendors were arriving to set up to find a baby shower in full swing in the spot we paid for. From the very start up until us discussing the final schedule the day before Jester King had always promised we’d have the full day to set up. They gave us 0 heads up about this issue and then told me we’d have to wait for them to finish up. I raised hell with the venue and the baby shower graciously agreed to move (which sucks for them, I’m sure they went through proper channels too). Had this not been resolved the space would have still been being set up as our guests arrived.
-Twice during the planning process our only point of contact quit or was fired without anyone reaching out to us. The second time the new general manager and event managers emails both just bounced with 0 explanation which was insanely stressful. Throughout the process people were slow to respond and unaware of what was in our contract.
-The manager, our point person, then left before the event ended without even telling my wedding planner.
-I provided our final headcount on time and asked for an updated invoice to make the final payment. They didn’t get back to me for weeks and then with no heads up they charged the credit card I used for the initial deposit like a year before that for 14k—which didn’t reflect the final headcount and was thousands more than we owed them. They did get this fixed but the manager told me he didn’t know how the payment system worked.
-they ran out of food even though we were under headcount.
-I reached out to the owner to have a call to discuss these concerns. He said he’d get back to me within a week and never did.

Jester king was my dream venue and we had an incredible day. It was worth it but under no circumstances would I recommend it. Save yourself a lot of stress and go somewhere else.
