Experience
Two leaders guide the team of Premier Planning Services: Rita Swanson, who is the principal planner, and Jennifer Orton, who is the event director. Rita earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Augsburg College. She has a strong set of organizational skills that she developed as an executive administrator and event planner at a Fortune 500 company. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design, studio art and art history from the University to Minnesota-Minneapolis. She boasts 20 years of experience managing creative projects for corporations.

Rita was a life saver for my daughter's wedding ( only 7 weeks after my son married). There is absolutely no chance we could have pulled off the beautiful event that it was. Rita has outstanding contacts and relationships with vendors. She provides a detail timeline and budget and sticks to it throughout the process. She is priceless! I am quite sure that she paid for herself in the mistakes we avoided. And my daughter had the wedding of her dreams. Every detail went as planned. As the mother of the bride I did not have to worry about anything the day of the wedding but to enjoy watching my daughter enjoy her special day.! Words can not express how amazing it was to work with Rita! Let me start by saying she knows her material on every topic along the way of the planning. She is the perfect amount of soft spoken and assertive when needed to make sure you have the best experience! Our wedding planning went as smooth as it possibly could because of her help. She earned the title of "fairy god mother" very quickly on how helpful she was. I to be honest was not as stressed as I should have been with the planning because of how helpful she was all along the way of planning and next to us on our wedding day. We had a couple of issues go wrong on the day of the wedding, but luckily because she was so organized and on alert they were fixed without me even knowing until the day after when family told us how amazing she was at saving the day. We met with 3 other wedding planners to make sure we were going to be working with the best fit for us and spending our money right. I can honestly say that her services were worth every penny!!! We are going to miss working with her as she became like family. I highly recommend Rita Swanson.

Rita planned our daughter's wedding and it was a beautiful event that we would not have been able to pull off on our own. The cost savings far exceeded the cost of the service and the tips were invaluable. We did our first daughter's wedding on our own and were not able to even enjoy it as we were "working" it. Rita and her staff made it possible for us to just sit back and enjoy this wedding as they handled every detail for us leaving us free to take it all in and actually remember the day. I highly recommend this company to anyone planning a wedding!

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Rita Swanson with Premier Planning Services for my wedding on 11/8/14. Rita was our day-of wedding coordinator. There are no words to express my gratitude to Rita and her staff for all that they did to make our wedding day so incredibly spectaclular. The day was beyond our dreams! Our wedding day was flawless because of Rita's organization and planning. She completely put me at ease and took care of every detail so that I could enjoy my wedding day. Rita is so professional, courteous, respectful and thoughtful. She is exceedingly prompt in responding to emails and phone calls. She is flexible and was able to work around my schedule, which was so helpful as I was planning my wedding from out of town. She has excellent contacts and relationships with other vendors that she was able to put me in contact with. Rita is detail oriented and an expert. She is so passionate about her work and genuinely cares about her clients. She is such a lovely and quality person. I truly feel so blessed that Rita came into our life to journey with us through the wedding planning process. She is truly the best! I highly, highly, highly recommend Rita for wedding planning services. She is amazing!

I had not planned to hire a wedding planner as I have had experience in planning large events and felt competent to plan our daughters wedding, however after being referred by so many friends to Premier Planning Services, I decided to meet with Rita Swanson. She and her team were amazing! Her relationship with the vendors was hugely valuable as she set up all of the appointments, negotiated the terms (she saved us money!) , kept detailed records for our budget and was extremely attentive to every detail. She is obviously highly regarded in the industry as the vendors clearly wanted to please her (she is, after all the repeat customer bringing in clients). Rita and her team are extremely professional but also conveyed a genuine spirit of warmth and enthusiasm for our events and wish for making our daughters dreams come true. I felt as if a friend were helping us - i definitely would recommend Rita Swanson and Premier Planning Services for any event!

We would highly recommend Jennifer at Premier Planning Services for your wedding planning needs. She did an exceptional job helping us plan and execute a perfect wedding day this summer! She truly understood our vision and helped make that a reality. She is organized and detail-oriented, and kept everyone at ease and on task throughout the whole process. She is skilled at balancing your needs, and provides great vendor referrals which actually saved us money. She was instrumental in creating a "day of" schedule and made sure the wedding party and family knew the plan and that everyone followed it. Jennifer is a petite person with a large personality! She is a pleasure to work with and makes the planning process go smoothly and the wedding day nearly worry free!

Rita and her team at Premier Planning are absolutely fantastic. I originally hired Rita for her "Day Of" services but she remained easily accessible to me throughout my 9 month planning process. There were some hiccups along the way and she was always available to me when I needed an opinion or guidance. Another wonderful thing that comes with Rita are her connections in the wedding industry. She has a reputation and is very respected - every prospective Vendor I encountered knew who she was and were always thrilled to know that I had her on my team. She is very organized as well as competent - she knows what she is doing and she makes sure that things get done.

I loved working Rita - hiring her and her team to help coordinate my wedding was the best decision that I made for our wedding and I honestly do not think that things would have come together as wonderful as they did without her.

Jennifer is highly talented and personable. Her responsibilities for our wedding weekend included planning and execution coordination of the ceremony and reception at our home on Lake Minnetonka; dinner and dance at the Edina Westin; and travel for out of town guests. Jennifer directly managed the efforts of supporting vendors, including catering, flowers, tent and furniture, and hotel arrangements. In all, she exceeded our expectations.
