Pleasant Hill House

Located in Pomfret, Maryland, Pleasant Hill House is a historical wedding venue steeped in charm and elegance. Owners Travis and Tig Wright started their journey restoring old homes in Cincinnati and fell in love with their quirks and challenges. When they came across Pleasant Hill House, they couldn't wait to share its beauty with the world. It is on the National Register of Historic Places due to its diverse history of being a local store, a farmhouse, a post office, and now a unique wedding venue.

Facilities and Capacity

Nestled on 5 acres in rural Charles County, this venue is a picturesque backdrop for your special day. The venue has a capacity of up to 130 people and is complete with some parking spaces for your guests. It is available for both ceremony ad reception and has a get-ready suite to prepare for the big day. The venue is surrounded by tall trees and is perfect for couples dreaming of getting married in a historic mansion house. They have two outdoor areas for the ceremony and reception, and it is a beautiful space for outdoor summer weddings.

Services Offered

Pleasant Hill House has a selection of packages available. All wedding packages include access to the get-ready suite, use of the Wedding Lawn Terrace for the ceremony, and use of the Wildflower Meadow for the reception, setup, and cleanup. Their packages start at small elopements, suitable for gatherings of up to 25 and includes a ceremony performed in their English-style tea garden and an outdoor reception around the pool. Larger weddings, up to 150 guests, are easily accommodated on the spacious grounds. They allow their couples to personalize their wedding and can provide recommendations for an event coordinator. Rentals, including tables, chairs, and linens, must be provided by a rental or catering company. The team at the venue can work with your event planner to ensure everything is perfect for you on your big day.
