Penny did an amazing job taking photos for our wedding! We had a photoshoot before the wedding at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center that turned out great! She captured some great moments both in the portraits and during the ceremony. We loved the photos of the ceremony and the reception. Penny is also a great pet photographer, so we got some pictures at the reception of our dog in his tux!

When looking for wedding vendors, you want to find kind, genuine people who are about the people and the moments they are capturing. With Penny, we found that and more! We have now had three photography experiences with Penny, between a surprise proposal in 2017, a last minute “mini-Covid wedding” in 2020, and finally for the big day of our dreams in 2022!
The Proposal- In 2017, my husband sought out a photographer to document the day as he surprised me with a proposal in our favorite city (Newport, RI). Between the actual proposal (where Penny was stealthy as heck), the photoshoot just afterwards, and a later photoshoot on the Cliff Walk (after an outfit change and surprise hair/makeup for me), Penny knew all the right locations, poses, and made us feel so comfortable doing something we had never done before (professional photography).
The Wedding Part 1- In April 2020, we recognized that we would have to postpone our May 2020 wedding. We kept in touch with Penny as we had hoped to still have some kind of small, intimate ceremony despite COVID getting in the way of our original plan. After confirming with the venue three days before, I reached out to Penny and she agreed to help us document the big moment! She drove 90 minutes to photograph the brief ceremony, then spent over an hour photographing the two of us and our families. We will treasure that moment forever and we are so grateful to Penny that we have the memories in “film”!
The Wedding Part 2- May 2022- After much waiting, we finally made it to the big day! Penny kept in touch regularly leading up to the weekend, and answered any questions I had as they came up. On the day of, she and her 2nd photographer, Olivia, were so lovely! Penny made me feel special as I got ready with my girls and our moms, and Olivia documented the guys as they got ready.
All throughout the day, Penny and Olivia made magic happen in the form of photographs with our favorite people, both posed and candid. So many laughs were had and so many of them have and will grace our ways for decades to come. We were so impressed by the sheer volume of photographs they took (and edited). I continue to look through and feel grateful for every single one!
Even when rain threatened (and attacked) 20 minutes before and through the ceremony, Penny and Olivia were flexible and rolled with the (very wet) punches. When the rain stopped and we were able to get outside for our toasts, Olivia even climbed out a window to take the most incredible photo of the entire 140-person party! They were a calm and collected presence on what can often be a very chaotic and busy day. We are so grateful for that!
After each of these experiences, I was stunned at how quickly (but meticulously) Penny edited and returned our photographs. I have heard of many couples who had to wait more than six months for their photographs. Not only did we have 40 “preview” photos THE NEXT MORNING, but she had all of the photographs back within three weeks; they arrived while we were on our honeymoon and it made the experience so much more special. Now, I’m sure this isn’t possible in every case, especially in the busy season, but we were so grateful for her hard work in returning her pieces of art back to us.
As I look through photos to add to this review, I think about how lucky my husband and I are to have met Penny through this experience. She is a kind, friendly person with a lovely personality and will make the most incredible addition to your wedding day and all your memories related to them in the form of photographs. I can’t say thank you enough to Penny for everything she did for us leading up to the wedding and the day off! We had to postpone our wedding twice, and Penny was there every step of the way to help us and work with us. Penny was always available to answer my calls and emails and did everything she could to make our third wedding date beyond special. Penny was incredibly easy to work with in planning the day and our photos and was especially easy to work with on the day of. My husband and I are not great picture takers, and Penny made us feel so comfortable and was guiding us with poses that suited our style and what looked best. Penny accommodated all of our photo requests, especially our sunset photos, which came out stunning. We are so happy with all of our photos, and we couldn’t have picked a better photographer for our day! In an already beyond stressful experience of planning a wedding during COVID, there are not enough words of thanks to Penny for being an outstanding wedding photographer!!

We chose Penny as our Photographer for our engagement photos and wedding. We just did our engagement photos and received them within a few days! She was so personable, very responsive (from first email to keeping an eye out on the weather for this shoot), and so accommodating with everything we wanted. We love our engagement photos and enjoyed taking them even more. She made us feel comfortable and had us genuinely laughing. We can't wait for our wedding!

Edit: Penny did absolutely amazing! She captured everything we wanted and then some! Prompt response and we got our photos back so quickly! We will be using Penny in the future and recommending her to every one.

Penny is a dedicated and hard working individual. She has years and years of experience doing what she does and she is very straight forward and makes sure she gets the job done. You never have to feel lost or confused on your busy, sometimes stressful day. She will make sure you get the results you want. We met with her twice before our June 2018 wedding and she met us halfway between her home in RI and our home in CT, armed with plenty of her work to show us ad help us customize the perfect package for our wants, needs and budget. Her packages are really good deals as far as what they include and what they cost. I was amazed by the price compared to many other highly priced photographers. Her work is quality and she gets it done quick. We had previews the next morning, and the full album in less than 2 weeks. You get full access to all the photos online, a flashdrive with all the pictures, and the ability for your family and friends to logon and get download pictures too, among any other idea you may come up with that you want to include in your package. I had taken ideas from other photographers packages that were more expensive, and Penny was able to include those ideas in ours for the better price. You can't go wrong with using Penny for your photography needs.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Penny capture photos for our October 2018 wedding. Penny does great work and exceeded our expectations for a photographer. Our engagement and wedding photos were beautiful, but beyond that, the entire experience working with her was amazing. Penny is a true professional who was always on time for every meeting, took the time to understand our inspiration, and came prepared to capture all the shots that we wanted...and more! During the wedding, she was non-invasive but made sure to get all the photos we wanted and all the photos turned out more beautiful than we could have imagined! We were extremely satisfied with the entire process and the package of photos she provides. We would highly recommend working with Penny to capture your special day!

Penny is amazingly talented, professional and a joy to work with. My husband and I are so happy we chose Penny to capture our wedding day. She was my friend's photographer when she was married years ago and the photos came out beautiful, so Penny was my first choice for a photographer when I got engaged. For both our engagement session as well as our wedding, she had printed out some inspiration photos I had sent her and she tried her best to capture as many as she could. She was great starting with our engagement session. It was an unusually chilly night and we had our super hyper puppy with us, Penny was incredible and was able to capture gorgeous photos of not only us, but the dog as well. On our wedding day she was early! I loved that she had an additional photographer who was able to take photos of the groom and groomsmen getting ready. The entire wedding day she was amazing, she kept us on schedule while still being mindful of the photos we wanted to capture. She even convinced my husband, who hates dancing, to get out on the dance floor so she could take some pictures of us dancing together. My photos were ready about a week later! I can't stop looking at them. Penny successfully captured our wedding day exactly as we wanted. I highly recommend her, you will not be disappointed!
