Painted Plate catered our wedding and they did a fantastic job! From the very beginning, Shantel and Randi were incredibly kind, helpful, and easy to work with. My husband I wanted to have an entirely vegan wedding menu, and after receiving several bland vegetable-only menus from many local caterers in the area, we finally found Painted Plate. Randi and Shantel worked with us to create a delicious and appealing menu for all our guests. During our tasting, Shantel, Randi and the chef Brad were very responsive and open minded to any feedback. They also worked seamlessly with my venue (Covington Gardens) to attend a walk through of the venue prior to our wedding day to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Painted Plate did our bar service as well and Shantel helped us come up with Signature cocktails that were a huge crowd pleaser. In addition, she was flexible and understanding when we had our numbers shift, even up to a day before the wedding!

On wedding day, the event manager Chris and his team were professional, efficient, and ensured the entire evening ran seamlessly. The presentation of the food during the cocktail hour and dinner was tasteful and beautiful. Many of our guests (who were non-vegan) were raving about the appetizers and dinner. My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend Painted Plate!

The entire Painted Plate team is incredible to work with, from creating a menu to executing the food at my wedding, they worked with me every step of the way. I had so many guests come up to me after the wedding raving about the wait staff and how friendly and helpful they were, and not to mention how incredible the food was! Brad and his team truly know how to create a delicious, exciting menu and make sure there is enough food for everyone. Painted Plate and the team helped bring our wedding to life. Their food is high quality, gluten-free, with attention to detail at every corner. On top of that, Brad and his team helped bring some of our ideas to life and interjected much-needed opinion during the planning process. Our wedding was outdoors on a farm and the Painted Plate team met with us on several occasions to see how best to serve the venue. Ten day prior to our wedding day, we made a change and decided to have our rehearsal dinner on the farm, and Painted Plate stepped up, put a menu together, and delivered.

I can not say enough great things about Painted Plate! Working with Brad and Randi Semon was a absolute pleasure!! They catered our wedding back in Oct and I am just now getting around to writing a review however the food was phenomenal, their team of staff was courteous and professional and they were so accommodating with special requests we had. I highly recommend them and would use them again for future events. We had MULTIPLE wedding guests go out of their way to tell us how great the food was. :) Always a good sign!

From arranging a tasting, consulting on best possible execution of dinner, wine selection, venue set up, Painted Plate made our celebration perfect.

Our family and friends raved about the food and service. Comments ranged from "this is the best meal I have ever had at any wedding" to "the catering staff was so engaged and polite, it felt like I was at my favorite resturant"!

We got married here and loved it!
-Outdoors: Small vineyard we used for ceremony
-Indoors: New Orleans vibe - 2 floors with Iron balconies and lots of brick! (Note- no elevators)
-Food: Delicious! We chose to do Meat (Dairy Free) and they were able to accommodate our Kosher/Nut-free/Vegan guests, too. We chose mediterranean themed seated meal.
-Cake- They allowed us to bring in our own.
-Painted plate included linen, chairs, tables, food, & venue so great way to cut down on number of vendors
-Staff - Very friendly and easy to work with!
-Parking- Plenty available
-Cons- Venue is "L" shape so if party is more than 150 people there may be some blocked site lines; We planned out wedding remotely so at times response to email was slower than desired.
-Other Vendors we loved: DJ & Photo Booth - OnTargetDJ; Flowers - Bears, Balloons & Beyond; Wedding Planner- Renee Miller; Photo- Ashley Stone.

One of the elements of a wedding that we felt the most pressure was with the catering and what we hoped would be an incredible dining experience for our guest. From the moment we met Brad and Randi with Painted Plate Catering, our stress began to melt away as well realized not only the level of professionalism but also the creative talents of Brad. Randi maintained a prompt and detailed communication with us that eliminated our worries. From Brad's suggestions of hors d'oeuvres before the meal to the meal itself, each item was painstakingly thought through from the combinations of tastes to the freshness of the ingredients. When we discussed a late addition of a post-meal snack from the heavy dancing, Brad again came through with a delightful suggestion of gourmet cheese sandwiches which were a huge hit!
Great successes do not end with planning and suggestions and Brad and his team executed flawlessly. The wait staff was efficient and friendly. Brad presented the menu and everything flowed beautifully. Needless to say, the food was a huge hit and its presentation outstanding.
If you see a meal as a special gift to your friends and family on your wedding day, you should consider Brad at Painted Plate to give you the direction and creativity that takes it beyond an idea to wonderful reality.

Allison was amazing! She was a pleasure to work with and she went above and beyond to make us happy! The food was delicious and everything went very smoothly.

Painted Plate was wonderful to work with and did a fantastic job for our wedding. When we initially reached out, we had only provided a general theme for the food, but did not have specifics in mind. Brad came up with a menu that was perfect on the first try! Randi was so responsive to messages and was patient with me as we worked through many details regarding food, linens, cutlery, etc. In addition to the regular buffet dinner and the cocktail food, we also had guests with specific dietary needs. Painted Plate worked with us and was able to provide fantastic meals for these guests with specific requirements, and they did so at no extra charge to us. The day of the event, the staff were professional, efficient, and managed the event perfectly. We got many compliments on the food from all of our guests. My husband and I did not eat much throughout the reception, but Painted Plate was kind enough to pack us individual to-go boxes with a sampling of all of our food items that we were able to enjoy the next day. The food was well worth the wait! I would highly recommend Painted Plate to anyone looking to cater any event!
