When it came time to decide on our wedding caterer, there was no question we were going to run with 1618 On Location - and boy, did this team bring it! From the utmost professional level of service, the beautiful display and unbelievable taste of the food, to the creative and unique cocktail experience (for all)! Not to mention the simplicity they present in the menu decision making process. 1618 carries strong trust and partnership with the best venues (in our case, Cadillac Service Garage) and vendors. The tasting experiences leading up to the wedding date allowed us to taste (and even overindulge) in all the food, pastries, and drinks this amazing team has to offer. I cannot stress enough to anyone debating on which team to bring on to cater their wedding - there's no question that it should be 1618 On Location!

Being first time parents navigating the bridal process, we were left swirling with all the details we needed to consider for creating a magical wedding celebration. 1618 was one of the catering options recommended by our venue. We explored all the options but ultimately decided nothing compared to 1618 if we wanted excellent customer service along with superb cuisine. Visting their restaurant, 1618 West, certainly helped seal the deal. We worked closely with both Lauren Donohue and Maddie Barbour during the process of creating the menu. Not only did they cater our wedding reception, but we also used them for the rehearsal dinner. Although they have a set list of menu options to choose from, they also let us know from the start that if there was anything on the restaurant menu that was not on the catering menu, they could absolutely include a dish from their restaurant to our menu choices for the wedding. The bride fell in LOVE with the seared tuna which they gladly added to our menu. They helped us make great selections all the while staying within our budget. I don't know about any of you, but the least memorable thing about any wedding I have ever been to was the food. That was not the case with 1618 On Location as the caterer. All of our guests were absolutely thrilled and impressed with the quality of food selections available at our buffet. In fact, many of our guests opted to dine at 1618 West the next night to enjoy even more of their food. Maddie and Lauren made this process easy with their kindness and helpfulness. They made themselves readily available to answer any and all of our questions. They helped us put together specialty cocktails for our celebration. They even made wonderful options for the handful of our guests with serious dietary restrictions. If you choose to use 1618 On Location for your event you will NOT be disappointed!! There was a miscommunication with respect to payment of the balance due for the rehearsal and wedding and Nick Wilson readily worked with us to get the payment matter handled with kindness, professionalism and understanding. An outstanding experience from start to finish.

We are SO glad we chose 1618 On Location for our wedding. All our guests LOVED the food! Everyone was so great to work with + made the process SO easy. The staff we had at our wedding was so nice + great as well. If we were to need catering again, we would choose them again. They have so many options and worked with what food we liked the best. We are so glad they were a part of our special day!

1618's service and food were the highlight of my wedding!! Guests from around the country raved about our food, like literally a year later I still get comments about some of the cuisine. Total crowd pleasers!! The best part, is that the staff was somehow every and yet nowhere. They somehow keep drinks in people's hands, while ensuring the area is tidy while simultaneously not being visible. It's magical!
Pre-wedding day Nick was a delight to work with. I shared a vision, then we engaged him with our planner, florist, and venue and they all just took it from there. It could not have turned out any better.
We actually got to enjoy our wedding in large part because of 1618's professionalism, expertise, and flawless execution.

The undisputed best in the category, they are also easy to work with both in terms of budget and variety. They were extremely responsive and creative, helpful and professional. The food at our daughter's wedding was deemed outstanding by guest after guest. We were thrilled with this vendor!

1618 On Location is now 100% my caterer for life! My daughter was married in Western NC (Highlands, NC) the day after Hurricane Helene struck the region in Sept 2024. We had no power, no communication ability, no tent (it was crushed), no band, no photographer, no videography, only 1/3 of the guests....and we were trapped in a rural lodge by multiple fallen trees and power lines. What we DID have was the amazingly resilient and creative 1618 team. After the food that 1618 had brought with them from Greensboro had been rendered inedible because of the long loss of power, they pivoted and created a rehearsal dinner using whatever a local restaurant had in their freezer (that food was then cooked by 1618 in their van's mobile kitchen!). On Saturday, they found a way off the devasted mountain, drove hours to non-ravaged areas of NC to find reception dinner ingredients...and then came BACK up the mountain...and created an amazing and sophisticated dinner for our guests. What partners they are with the families they work with! As the mother of the bride, I will always be appreciative for what they created, which was beyond anything we could have imagined. We are forever grateful.

Every single guest loved the food. Many stated they have never had such great food at a wedding.

1618 CONCEPTS was a dream to work with for my wedding. Not only ​was​ the food amazing, but I felt confident with how they worked with other vendors and made the entire event carefree for the guests and hosts. The staff is top notch as well. We had custom food requests that they were more than willing to cater to. Whenever we see our guests, the first thing they mention about our wedding was how amazing the food was. Would choose them over and over again.

I cannot explain how amazing the 1618 team made my wedding experience! Aside from the food being delicious, the service was professional and welcoming. The atmosphere they created exceeded all expectations. I was the calmest bride the morning of my wedding because I knew everything was going to go as planned, and it did! I have recommended them to everyone I know and will continue to do so!!

First off, Nick is incredible. Nick accommodated all of our wishes (and last minute changes) and was confident that his team could execute them well throughout the entire planning process. They did not disappoint! We live in NY and planning a wedding in NC during Covid had its challenges, but he made us feel both supported and excited. The food is delicious and the team did a seamless job on our big day. Couldn't recommend 1618 more!!
