Painted Plate catered our wedding and they did a fantastic job! From the very beginning, Shantel and Randi were incredibly kind, helpful, and easy to work with. My husband I wanted to have an entirely vegan wedding menu, and after receiving several bland vegetable-only menus from many local caterers in the area, we finally found Painted Plate. Randi and Shantel worked with us to create a delicious and appealing menu for all our guests. During our tasting, Shantel, Randi and the chef Brad were very responsive and open minded to any feedback. They also worked seamlessly with my venue (Covington Gardens) to attend a walk through of the venue prior to our wedding day to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Painted Plate did our bar service as well and Shantel helped us come up with Signature cocktails that were a huge crowd pleaser. In addition, she was flexible and understanding when we had our numbers shift, even up to a day before the wedding!
On wedding day, the event manager Chris and his team were professional, efficient, and ensured the entire evening ran seamlessly. The presentation of the food during the cocktail hour and dinner was tasteful and beautiful. Many of our guests (who were non-vegan) were raving about the appetizers and dinner. My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend Painted Plate! -

Flexible, creative caterer for wedding on private property
Painted Plate and the team helped bring our wedding to life. Their food is high quality, gluten-free, with attention to detail at every corner. On top of that, Brad and his team helped bring some of our ideas to life and interjected much-needed opinion during the planning process. Our wedding was outdoors on a farm and the Painted Plate team met with us on several occasions to see how best to serve the venue. Ten day prior to our wedding day, we made a change and decided to have our rehearsal dinner on the farm, and Painted Plate stepped up, put a menu together, and delivered.
Some other areas that stuck out that we were particularly impressed with:
The staff's professionalism (particularly, Chris, the ops manager)
Adaptability - including rain on the wedding day
Timely responses
Respect for the property and our guests.
The clean up! Great job. -

I can not say enough great things about Painted Plate! Working with Brad and Randi Semon was a absolute pleasure!! They catered our wedding back in Oct and I am just now getting around to writing a review however the food was phenomenal, their team of staff was courteous and professional and they were so accommodating with special requests we had. I highly recommend them and would use them again for future events. We had MULTIPLE wedding guests go out of their way to tell us how great the food was. :) Always a good sign!

Painted Plate ROCKS!!!
I can not say enough about Painted Plate! Working with Brad and Randi Semon was a absolute pleasure!! Painted Plate catered my daughter's wedding reception and Sunday wedding brunch.
From arranging a tasting, consulting on best possible execution of dinner, wine selection, venue set up, Painted Plate made our celebration perfect.
Our family and friends raved about the food and service. Comments ranged from "this is the best meal I have ever had at any wedding" to "the catering staff was so engaged and polite, it felt like I was at my favorite resturant"!
We will hire Painted Plate for all our catering needs moving forward. Look no farther, if you can book them, do it! -

Delicious Food & Great service
We got married here and loved it!
-Outdoors: Small vineyard we used for ceremony
-Indoors: New Orleans vibe - 2 floors with Iron balconies and lots of brick! (Note- no elevators)
-Food: Delicious! We chose to do Meat (Dairy Free) and they were able to accommodate our Kosher/Nut-free/Vegan guests, too. We chose mediterranean themed seated meal.
-Cake- They allowed us to bring in our own.
-Painted plate included linen, chairs, tables, food, & venue so great way to cut down on number of vendors
-Staff - Very friendly and easy to work with!
-Parking- Plenty available
-Cons- Venue is "L" shape so if party is more than 150 people there may be some blocked site lines; We planned out wedding remotely so at times response to email was slower than desired.
-Other Vendors we loved: DJ & Photo Booth - OnTargetDJ; Flowers - Bears, Balloons & Beyond; Wedding Planner- Renee Miller; Photo- Ashley Stone. -

Susan Sent on 09/27/2011I LOVED the food from The Painted Plate! The beef and chicken were AMAZING! I heard nothing but great reviews about the mash potatoes and they were GREAT! Kathryn was amazing and answered my emails and calls the same day! The staff and waiters were amazing! They even cleaned the cake plates for my cake decorator and boxed up the top layer and wrapped in plastic wrap so in could go straight in the freezer! Everything went great with out a problem! -

Starting out we knew that we wanted BBQ as our main course, so that shaped what I was looking for when researching and contacting caterers. While Painted Plate was not the cheapest, they were still reasonably priced. I ended up selecting them because the food was amazing (I tried it at both a wedding show and a private tasting), they could do what I was looking for and the Events and Sales Manager, Allison, was wonderful and easy to work with! She made the process as easy as possible even though I was planning the wedding long-distance, and accommodated any requests I had. She was also very innovative, and helped better any ideas I had so all our food turned out perfectly. Allison also recommended the bakery we used for our wedding cakes (Easy Peasy Decadent Desserts), and it ended up being incredible!
I still think back and am excited about how good the food was, and still get compliments on it from friends and family. I would highly recommend Painted Plate to anyone wanting a caterer in the Triad area.
